Abstract

The research aims to identify the talent of wrestlers aged 10 to 14 years. The data collected was analyzed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the Expert Choice v. 11 application to find out which elements play an important role in supporting wrestlers. Mixed-methods research (MMR) was used in this study with the study of literature and questionnaires through Google Forms to 25 trainers in Indonesia. The results of this study have three criteria and 15 sub-criteria. These criteria are anthropometry (33.1%), biomotority (33.3%), and somatotype (3.3%). As for the sub-criteria mesomorph (16.3%), endomorph (8.7%), ectomorph (8.3%)1, lung endurance (7.9%), agility (7.0%), speed (6.9%), strength (6.2%), IMT (6%), height (5.9%), flexibility (5.3%), weight (5.1%), body length (4.4%), arm length (4.0%), body fat (3.9%) and sitting height (3.8%). This talent identification model can determine the priority variable in the identification of the talent of a wrestler.

Abstract

Maintaining fitness is a positive activity for life. There are many ways to maintain fitness. Aerobic exercise is one option to maintain fitness. The factor of laziness or busyness sometimes becomes an obstacle for people taking part in gymnastics, in addition to the long distance or the costs involved. This research aims to describe the motivation of aerobics exercise members to participate in exercise activities. Respondents consisted of gymnastics members in seven (7) gymnastics studios in Kuburaya, West Kalimantan, with a total sample of 86 people who filled out the questionnaire voluntarily. The research instrument is a questionnaire that asks for two variables: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The research data was analysed using descriptive statistics. The research results show that the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation values are almost the same, with a mean intrinsic value of 85.35 and extrinsic 81.45. Based on these results, it can be concluded that whatever the initial motivation and the process of remaining active in doing exercise, it will not be a problem. The most important thing is the continuity of aerobic activities to maintain fitness.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyse the need for a basketball tactical knowledge instrument. This study used a literature study or literature review, analysing 8 scientific journals which were published in Scopus-indexed publications and published no later than 2015 and most recently 2023. This study was conducted by making analyses and conclusions on journals related to research objectives. Several studies which were analysed in this study show the importance of tactical skills in basketball and the strengths and weaknesses of previous existing tactical skill instruments. It can be concluded that an accurate and easy-to-use instrument to measure tactical knowledge is needed. A practical instrument which related to game performance and can adjust all levels of basketball play is an important aspect of tactical knowledge identification and players’ development. This study is expected to be the foundation for future research related to instruments that can measure the tactical ability of basketball athletes without restrictions on age and level of play.
