Abstract

Anxiety can impair the ability of cancer patients to run chemotherapy. Mindfulness training with meditation methods can improve empathy for self in activating affective, cognitive, moral, intra and interpersonal dimension so as to decrease anxiety especially in cancer patient who will undergo chemotherapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of mindfulness training in reducing anxiety in cancer patients with chemotherapy. The research method used Quasi experiment design with pretest and posttest control group design, in 60 samples taken at Indonesia Cancer Foundation in Yogyakarta, analyzed with Mann Whitney z distribution test for category ordinal and t-test data for experiment and control group differences. The results showed most of the characteristics of age >40 years and female gender with breast cancer type. Conclusions were obtained, mindfulness training can provide benefits for cancer patients in achieving relaxation in order to reduce anxiety when faced with treatment with chemotherapy action, thereby raising awareness to better accept the situation conditions that are happening. Suggestions that health care workers both nurses and doctors can train patients who experience anxiety in the face of chemotherapy or other invasive measures.

Abstract

Measles is still a disease that has the highest case in the city of Yogyakarta. 41 positive case of measles in 2015, while in 2016 the number increased to 144 cases. In 2016 from 14 sub-districts, the highest incidence was in the work area of Puskesmas Umbulharjo I with 24 cases of positive measles increased compared to the previous year as many as 5 cases. However, the coverage of measles immunization has been more than 98% by 2015, which already exceeds the national target of 90%. The research aims to determine the description of parents knowledge about measles immunization in the area of Umbulharjo Puskesmas 1. The research design was quantitative descriptive with survey method in work area of Umbulharjo 1 Public Health Center in 2017. The sample technique used was simple random sampling, with total sample of 68 respondents. The research used of questionnaires as a data collection tool. Variable used was single variable that was parents knowledge about immunization of measles. The research results show the characteristics of respondents were most common at the age of 24-29 years (45.31%), senior high school education (60.94%), mostly unemployed (32.81%), and 53.13% had never received information related measles immunization. Respondents who have received information related to measles immunization mostly (76.67%) obtained from counseling. The result of description parents knowledge about measles immunization in working area of Puskesmas Umbulharjo I is 20,31% had good knowledge, 43,75% had enough knowledge, and 35,94% had less knowledge. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the obtained a description of parents' knowledge about measles immunization in the area of Puskesmas Umbulharjo I with sufficient category.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a disorder that occurs in the human brain that causes a very dramatic behavior change. Positive symptoms of schizophrenia are hallucinations. Based on a report from Imogiri II Public Health Center in 2016 there were 218 people with mental disorders in which 70% experienced hallucinations. Family is the closest person and has an active role in providing direct care to people with schizophrenia. The purpose of this study is to know the description of family behavior in hallucination management in family members with schizophrenia in the working area of ??Imogiri II Community Health Center. This research uses descriptive research type as a research design. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with 78 respondents. The research instrument used is a questionnaire. The result of the research showed that 78 respondents in the range of age 41-60 years old (51.28%), the last educated is elementary (46.15%), most of the respondent is jobless (51.28%), respondent is parent of schizophrenia family (29.49%), and had take care for more than of 10 years (33.33%), respondents knowledge level mostly good (57.69%) and respondent attitude mostly positive (58.97% ). The description of behavior in hallucination management in family members with schizophrenia is in good category (57.69%). The results of this study recommend the need for motivation and support from health services to maintain good family behavior in hallucination management so that there is no risk of violent behavior and recurrence in schizophrenic patients with hallucinations.

Abstract

A play therapy will release the child from a variety of unpleasant feelings, such as anger, fear, anxiety, and pain. In the United States,> 4 million children undergo surgery each year and it is estimated that 50% - 75% of these show fear and anxiety before surgery (Kain & Alison, 2005). The state of anxious child in the face of surgery will. Research aim to know the influence of pop up book media play therapy on preoperative anxiety level using general anesthesia in school-aged children in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta. Method use pre experimental type of study with one group pre test and post test without using control group. Sampling technique with purposive sampling as many as 20 patients of school-age children pre operative with general anesthesia. Data collected was then analysed using Wilcoxon Rank Test. The result pre-test therapy showed moderate anxiety as many as 13 people (65%), post-test play therapy showed moderate anxiety as much as 10 people (50%), decreased in severe anxiety and an increase in mild anxiety by 9 people (45% . Wilcoxon Rank Test test results known level of significance ? = 0,000 (? <0.05). The conclusion there is an influence of pop up book media play therapy on preoperative anxiety level using general anesthesia to school-aged children in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Based on Research (RisKesDa) on years 2013 Yogyakarta Special Region is a province with a prevalence of age ? 10 years each day smoking as much as 21.2%. There are many reasons teenagers or children age ? 15 years of smoking. The factor that causes the child to smoke are from the environment of smoking parents or peers and from the individual himself. This study was conducted to find out the description of parent's knowledge about cigarettes in parents own children smokers age 10-15 years in the Village Modinan. This research is a descriptive study using survey method. The sample was 38 respondents by using Purposive Sampling technique. Measuring tools using questionnaire. Parent's knowledge level on cigarettes in parents own had 10-15 year old smokers in 38 respondents showed that knowledge level was in good category. Obtained 60.5% of parents at the age of 36-45 years, 63.2% of parents have senior high school, 52.6% of parents work as housewife, and 55.4% of unemployed parrent. Knowledge of cigarettes in parents own have 10-15 year old smokers in Modinan Village mayority in the category of good knowledge.
