Abstract

Green open space is one of the important elements that must exist in every urban area. The City Government of Depok, as one of the areas that is considered to need improvement in the provision of green open spaces, has made a policy strategy by building town squares and parks in every village. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the development of the town square as an instrument of green open space policy in Depok City. The research uses a post-positivist method where data is collected through interviews and observations, which are then processed into descriptive narratives. The results of the study show that there are still two indicators that need to be improved, where the level of interest of the target group and the use of space are obstacles in the implementation of green open space policies in city squares. Some of the factors that make these indicators ineffective include lack of community participation, lack of resources, and discrepancies between the initial concept and the results. Then it influences the indicators of clarity of agreement on policy objectives and control of spatial use. Therefore, the development of the Alun-Alun as an instrument of green open space policy is still not effective so it is necessary to add space or Alun-Alun to meet the needs of green open spaces in Depok City.

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the factors contributing to purchase intent towards electric vehicles (EVs) among Generation Z in Jakarta and their perceptions of electric vehicle marketing efforts from manufacturers and government programs. The study aimed to provide recommendations for manufacturers and the government to promote EVs through open-ended qualitative questionnaires, sentiment analysis from Twitter, and quantitative structural equation modelling. The open-ended qualitative questionnaire provided insights into Generation Z's purchase intention towards EVs, their knowledge and concern for environmental issues related to EVs, and their perceptions of marketing efforts from manufacturers and government programs. The sentiment analysis from Twitter revealed ositive sentiment towards electric cars, electric motorcycles, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Wuling Air EVs. The quantitative structural equation modelling revealed that personal norms were a significant predictor of purchase intention, with a significant relationship between personal norms and environmental concern and peer effect. However, the relationship between environmental concern and peer effect on purchase intention was insignificant. Personal norms are a crucial factor in determining Generation Z's purchase intention of electric vehicles in Jakarta, and environmental concerns and peer effects have no significant effect. While Generation Z has a positive outlook on EVs, manufacturers, governments, and society need to do more to promote their adoption. Manufacturers should focus educating consumers about the benefits of electric vehicles, and governments should provide incentives to encourage their use. Further research is needed to investigate other factors influencing purchase intent, such as consumer knowledge and attitudes towards electric vehicles.

Abstract

Introduction: Balikpapan City is an example of an area in East Kalimantan Province that is in the final stage of development, which requires that government spending is no longer directed at providing physical infrastructure and facilities but is already directed at developing human resources and community welfare. This study is intended to examine the strength of the relationship between local government spending and other economic variables which are part of the main objective of implementing fiscal policy in the form of regional spending, including economic activity in the sectors of Manufacturing Industry, Construction, Transportation and Warehousing, Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Cars and Motorcycles, and Financial Services, as well as social welfare in terms of the Open Unemployment Rate and the Percentage of Poor Population. Method: This study uses the Kendall Correlation Coefficient to test relationships between variables. Result: Based on the results of the study shows that regional spending has a significant impact on reducing the open unemployment rate in the City of Balikpapan. However, there is no significant relationship between regional spending and a reduction in the poverty rate. In addition, only operating expenditures play an essential role in economic development in Balikpapan City. In contrast, capital expenditures do not have a significant influence. Conclusion: Local governments can strengthen operating spending to boost economic growth and reduce unemployment rates. The government also needs to consider the time lags in planning and using capital expenditures so that they have a more effective impact on advancing the economy.

Abstract

Child abuse is arguably one of the most debated publics/social policy areas. Thus, the need for systematic data is not only for recognizing child protection issues but also for formulating and implementing policy responses and practices in Pakistan. This study aims to analyze the role of the media in the research and reporting of child abuse cases. The method used in this study is to use media framing theory to conduct quantitative investigations using content analysis. Media coverage of child abuse can help communities understand issues around child abuse and neglect and interact constructively with children's rights. Using media as a reporting, representation, and advocacy tool will increase public knowledge about perpetrators and aid in preventing child abuse. However, there are shortcomings in structures and institutions that can cause children suffering. It needs cooperation from government agencies and civil society to improve child protection from maltreatment and carelessness. Therefore, the role of the media as a component of a more extensive system designed to protect children is crucial. Child sexual abuse can be reduced in the country by enacting strong anti-child sexual abuse laws. By affirming the country's commitment, providing legal protection, increasing public awareness, increasing the effectiveness of law enforcement. With clear laws in place, police and the justice system can act on child sexual abuse cases more quickly and decisively. This can provide a deterrent effect to perpetrators and prevent similar crimes in the future.

Abstract

Research on the relationship between the growth of leaves, stems, and roots of elephantiasis plants in each application of bokashi fertilizer and NPK fertilizer was carried out from July to October 2022 in Rante Dengen, Lembang Karre Limbong, Nanggala District, North Toraja Regency. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the growth of leaves, stems, and roots of elephantiasis after each application of bokashi from chicken waste and NPK fertilizer. The experiment used a randomized group design (RB) with two treatment factors: liquid organic fertilizer from chicken waste and NPK. The results showed that giving bokashi at a dose of 400 g/plant gave the best results, and NPK fertilizer at a dose of 20 g/plant was also the treatment that gave the best results. The relationship pattern between leaf, stem and root growth variables is linear. The variables that most contribute to the dry weight gain of plants are stem diameter and akare's volume. Our sincere gratitude goes to DRPM, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud Ristek DIKTI), Indonesia, as well as the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja, for their financial support throughout this study.

Abstract

The current development of information technology has brought significant changes in the business world, including the e-commerce system. However, this technological development also brings new risks, namely the threats to information security in e-commerce systems. Therefore, e-commerce companies must develop an effective information security system to minimize security risks and improve service quality. This study aims to analyze the effect of information security systems on service quality in e-commerce systems. The method used in this research is qualitative by conducting interviews with several e-commerce system users and management of e-commerce companies related to information security systems. The results show that an effective information security system significantly influences the quality of service in e-commerce systems. E-commerce system users have more confidence in systems with robust information security systems, improve data integrity, and reduce the possibility of problems or failures in e-commerce systems. In addition, management who is actively involved in paying attention to information security systems will show concern for the security of user data and increase user trust in the e-commerce system being operated. e-commerce companies must prioritize developing and continuously improving their information security systems and ensure management involvement in maintaining data security to gain user trust and loyalty. This, in turn, can enhance the service quality provided and positively impact future business growth.
