Abstract

Crab creation is often found in Pantai Beringin Village, Sulamu District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. In one day, Pantai Beringin Village is able to collect 200 kilograms of crabs, on the other hand, 150 kilograms or 75% of the total are shells. Crab shells that are not used become waste that has been piled up for years and even thrown away. Meanwhile this village has a crab shell grinding machine, but it is not operational. Meanwhile, crab shells have as much as 70% chitin, so they are very good to use as a basic ingredient for making animal feed. Chitin, like an addictive feed, can also improve the nutritional quality of animal feed. To empower residents in utilizing shells, the approach used is ABCD (Asset Based Comminity-driven Development). This procedure uses the legacy of the existing community, with a focus on the main issue of using crab shell waste. The results of this processing are submitted to BUMDes and their marketing management. With the diversity of religions that exist in Pantai Beringin Village, it cannot be separated from "conflicts" with religious nuances. In Indonesia, it shows that there are still individuals or groups who cannot be tolerant. One of the social capital that has become a characteristic feature is mutual cooperation, which has long been attached to every layer of society. With this, we can face the challenges of differences by prioritizing common interests. Because the reflection of religious moderation is rooted in the values of goodness in the people of Pantai Beringin Village, so that it becomes a social institution that can be called local wisdom.

Abstract

This research aims to restore the night patrol system was stopped RT 07 Kedungharjo village.  In this research several attempts or the stages in the research are also described in detail. Efforts such as: request for permission to the head of the household, counseling on the importance of night patrols to residents, making a schedule for the night patrol and cleaning the guard post as the final form of the stage this.  The method used in this research is a stage consisting of 3 stages. Namely the initial stage of preparation for the implementation stage and the final stage of the evaluation of the activities that has been running.  The results of this activity show that the activities have been running for one week does not always go smoothly.  There are several obstacles such as some residents who could not attend due to personal matters and factors work So that this is the discussion in the evaluation activities led by the head of the household.

Abstract

Youth is a great asset as a source of development of a nation, so that the participation and role of youth needs to be maintained and enhanced. Based on this urgency, the community service activities carried out by the author in his position as head of RT in Dukuh Plembon, Kepanjen, Delanggu, Klaten, made efforts to increase the role of youth in environmental development by initiating the formation of youth organizations at the RT 04 level. The results obtained from these activities were that the author could carry out the target of achieving activities starting from the preparation stage, the stage of forming a youth organization until the assistance process. The real results of the three stages carried out by the author were the formation of the RT 04 youth organization with several activities that have been successfully carried out by the RT 04 youth organization, namely; (1) internal activities of youth organizations including meetings monthly and regulary contributions, and (2) external activities as a form of youth concern for the community and the environment including synergy with the RT program, community service monthly and making sign of street at RT 04.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the importance of religious character education as the basic foundation of character education. The aim of this activity was to implement method and media which suitable for children’s characteristic ‘to play’ as an attempt to internalize the value of religious character. This community service activity was held in TPQ Baiturahman Boyolali by using combination of method : observation,discussion and mentoring. The result of this community service activity were 1) game can be used as a media to introduce the value of religious character to children, 2) Emotional strengthening, motivation and habituation are needed to accompany children being someone who is beneficial for others.

Abstract

This service activity focuses on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kopen Village, Ngadirejo Village, Kartasura District so that what will be discussed in depth is economic activity in the form of production. The purpose of this service is to carry out promotional strategies through social media and product innovation to prevent boredom and encourage consumer appeal. While the service method used is Participatory Action Research. This method has several stages that must be carried out, including: 1) assessing needs, 2) designing needs, 3) implementing planning, and 4) evaluating the activities that have been carried out. While the results of these activities, the community really appreciates it. Because promotional strategy activities and product innovation provide new insights, especially on the use of technology to promote their merchandise more easily anywhere and anytime. Most of the participants asked to join the culinary group on social media, one of which was Facebook. In addition, product innovation makes merchandise more attractive and different. This was proven after several days of UMKM participants posting their products on social media, some of the participants got responses from the public starting from asking for merchandise. Based on the statements and results made, it is sufficient to confirm that the existence of promotional strategies and product innovation activities helps restore and improve community businesses in Kopen village.

Abstract

The pandemic of Covid-19 that hit Indonesia makes changes in all sectors, especially in education. All levels of education in Indonesia are experiencing changes in the learning system.  Long Distance Learning (PJJ) or online learning is an alternative for the educational system through service activities and research carried out by students using direct observation methods.  Observation methods are done in the communities by interviews, documentations and analysis of problems faced by the community in educational problems. The service carried out in Duwet, Andong, Andong, Boyolali leads to the Mentoring of long-distance learning Program (PJJ) for Nurul Himmah Islamic Elementary School (MI) students.  The results of the study show that there are still many obstacles experienced by children during the implementation of the long-distance Learning Mentoring (PJJ) such as students' lack of understanding about the taught material, the number of assignments teacher gives, wasteful quotas, and parents who cannot accompany and do not understand the long-distance Learning material. As a solution to the problems of the long-distance learning, the researchers create a long-distance Learning Mentoring Program for students of grades V and VI.  This program has a positive impact for the students and the parents in overcoming the obstacles of the long-distance learning.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase the motivation of young people to have an entrepreneurial spirit in the midst of a pandemic. Community service activities consist of trauma healing and entrepreneurship training. Entrepreneurship training in the form of making cloth and shibori t-shirts. During the pandemic, the rate of psychological disorders reached 64.8%. Some of the effects of these disorders are anxiety (65%), depression (62%) and trauma (75%). Therefore, trauma healing is expected to reduce anxiety, depression and trauma. Then continued with entrepreneurship training to restart, motivate creativity and increase optimism among young people with activities that have economic value to survive during the pandemic. The selection of shibori fabrics and shirts is due to the ease of obtaining raw materials, affordability of prices and good business prospects. The subjects of the service are Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) and Ikatan Pelajar Putri Nahdlatul Ulama (IPPNU) Pimpinan Cabang Boyolali as representatives of youth in the Boyolali Regency area. The service was held at the Kemasan Village Hall, Sawit, Boyolali. The results show that community service activities are able to reduce the level of psychological disorders and are able to increase the motivation of young people to become entrepreneurs. The indicators are attitude (sig. 0.005), subjective norm (sig. 0.000) and perceived behavioral control (0.047) have a significant effect on interest in entrepreneurship. The hope is that after carrying out community service and providing assistance for the shibori cloth and shirt business, it will be able to improve the family economy and in aggregate be able to create economic resilience during the pandemic.
