Abstract

Pandemic Covid 19 melanda seluruh dunia tak terkecuali Indonesia. Hal ini berimbas pada berbagai aktivitas yang salah satunya proses pembelajaran, sehingga proses tersebut harus dilakukan secara virtual. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan alternatif pembelajaran supaya siswa merasa tertarik dalam belajar menggunakan model Connected Mathematics Project (CMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ketertarikan belajar peserta didik menggunakan LKPD dengan model CMP selama pandemic Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMP kelas VIII sebanyak 22 orang yang dipilih dengan cara acak dalam satu sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket ketertarikan belajar yang didistribusikan melalui google form yang terdapat 19 butir pertanyaan sebagai acuan untuk mengetahui ketertarikan belajar peserta didik menggunakan LKPD dengan CMP. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan LKPD dengan Model CMP berdampak positif terhadap ketertarikan belajar peserta didik, dilihat dari hasil rata-rata persentase seluruh aspeknya sebesar 80,09% dengan kriteria baik. Selanjutnya untuk setiap aspeknya terdapat dua aspek dengan kriteria sangat baik, dan empat aspek dengan kriteria baik. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta didik mempunyai ketertarikan yang baik dalam belajar menggunakan LKPD dengan model CMP.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) based on qualitative and quantitative analysis. The type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study involved 32 Mathematics Education students. The research instrument was in the form of a question review sheet and 16 multiple-choice items based on HOTS based on Bloom's taxonomy. The qualitative study covers aspects of content/material, construction, and language. While the quantitative analysis is based on the Classical Test Theory approach with the help of the ANATES version 4.0.9 program. Aspects that are analyzed quantitatively include validity, reliability, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, and distractor functions. The results showed that 1) the instrument reached the valid criteria from the results of qualitative and quantitative studies, 2) the reliability of the items reached 0.87 including very high criteria, 3) the discriminatory power of at least 22.22%, 4) the level of difficulty of the questions included 25% easy, 31.25% moderate, while 43.75% difficult, and 5) all distractors work well. This HOTS-based assessment instrument can be applied as an evaluation tool in familiarizing students with higher-order thinking.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah tidak lepas dari kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah memerlukan sebuah pemikiran yang logis, kritis serta sistematis dan bisa dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi program linear. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Lais. Sampel pada penelitian ini di ambil dengan teknik simple random sampling yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini soal tes berbentuk uraian materi program linear. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode desktiptif kuantitatif. Dari hasil analisis data dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dari keempat indikator yang meliputi: memahami masalah 56,62%, membuat/menyusun model matematika 65,81%, memilih dan mengembangkan strategi pemecahan 60,29%, serta memeriksa kembali kebenaran jawaban yang diperoleh dari penyelesaian masalah 50,49%. Maka secara keseluruhan didapatkan persentase rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sebesar 58,30%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine (1) the autonomous of learning mathematics taught by the blended learning model of the flipped classroom type in as the senior class in a junior high school in Sokaraja in academi year of 2019/2020, (2) the autonomous of learning mathematics taught by conventional learning models in as the senior class in a junior high school in Sokaraja in academi year of 2019/2020, and (3) whether the learning independence is maintained. A quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group was employed in this research. The samples utilized in this research were divided into two classes, with one class serving as the experimental class and the other serving as the control class. As a data collecting technique, the independence test was used. The information was then examined using descriptive statistics and the t-test. Based on the findings the following conclusions may be drawn: There are variations in students' learning independence while studying mathematics. Students who get mixed learning model type flipped classroom and students who receive traditional learning models have curved sides.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the differences in learning independence regarding gender and mathematical disposition in public junior high school students in Bandar Lampung. The research conducted was a survey study through the spread of questionnaires involving 355 students from 11 schools—data analysis using two-lane variance analysis. The results showed no difference in learning independence between male and female students. In terms of mathematical disposition, the average learning independence of students who had a higher high disposition than those who had low dispositions. This difference occurred between male students and female students. In students with low mathematical dispositions, it was known that the average independence of learning female students was higher than male students. Thus, to develop learning independence, students need to pay attention to students' gender and mathematical disposition characteristics to develop learning independence.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy has an important role in helping students understand the use of mathematics in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine student responses in solving mathematical literacy problems. Student responses are answers to questions related to attitudes and feelings after completing mathematical literacy questions. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The research subjects were 22 students of class X. This research instrument used a questionnaire sheet and an interview sheet. Interviews were conducted on 3 subjects who have high, medium, and low abilities. Questionnaire and interview data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the average student response after being given a mathematical literacy question reached 55% with a good category. Students feel interested and enthusiastic about working on literacy questions, math literacy questions are different from the questions that are usually done in class, want literacy questions to be applied in everyday learning, even though students are not yet able and accustomed to working on mathematical literacy questions.

Abstract

To support learning process during Covid-19 pandemic, digital literacy skills which is 21st century skill, is an important skill in learning. This research aimed to describe digital literacy skills of prospective mathematics teacher during the covid-19 pandemic. A qualitative descriptive was designed with 32 prospective mathematics teacher at IAIN Kediri. Student worksheets based on Ethnomathematics assisted by GeoGebra was used as a tool for implementing digital literacy skills in geometry courses during Covid-19 pandemic. Ethnomathematics worksheet was filled by student assessed using analitic rubric then described based on 3 digital competency indicators by Calvani namely technology, cognitive and ethnics. The results show that on technological indicator students can use GeoGebra tools to combine basic geometric and several polygons to produce other meaningful shapes, used GeoGebra tools to form regular polygons, able to make geometric fractals by applying geometric transformations, and created new tools for creating geometric fractals. On cognitive indicators, students can determine the basic patterns and transformations used in fractals and determine the types of fractals and non-fractals by using various sources. On ethical indicators students can present and interact directlywith lecturer and other students through GeoGebra classrooms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan design research yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lintasan belajar materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) dengan menggunakan pendekatan Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) dikelas VIII. Penelitian pada pilot experiment ini dilakukan di SMP Xaverius 7 Palembang yang melibatkan 6 orang siswa kelas VIII. Ada tiga tahapan dalam penelitian, yaitu preliminary design, design experiments, dan retrospective analysis. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan wawancara, tes, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lintasan belajar pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dengan pendekatan MEAs yang dikembangkan sudah sesuai dengan HLT yang telah dirancang.

Abstract

Peserta didik pada usia remaja seringkali mengeluh dengan buku yang terlalu besar untuk dibaca. Sementara hasil penelitian didapat bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Sehingga penelitian dilakukan untuk menghasilkan sebuah buku saku CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) materi relasi dan fungsi yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas X salah satu MAN di Pangkalpinang pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau development research yang terdiri dua tahap yaitu tahap preliminary yang meliputi persiapan dan desain kemudian formative evaluation yang meliputi self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, dan field test. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa buku saku yang dikembangkan sudah seusai dengan pembelajaran CTL dengan rata-rata tiap kategori sebagai berikut; kategori konten bernilai 4 dengan kriteria sangat valid, kategori konstruk bernilai 3,88 dengan kriteria sangat valid, dan kategori bahasa bernilai 3,33 dengan kriteria valid. Sehingga rerata hasil validasi didapat nilai 3,73 dan buku saku dinyatakan valid. Berdasarkan hasil penerapan pada siswa kelas X didapat bahwa buku saku yang dikembangkan praktis dan sangat baik digunakan untuk siswa SMA serta mempunyai efek potensial terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah kontekstual dilihat dari sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang secara umum dikategorikan baik.

Abstract

Despite the pandemic, Jakarta is one of the most polluted cities in the world. Knowing the daily air quality forecast aids the community, particularly Jakarta residents. Among these is the ability to protect oneself from dangerous air. The multinomial naive Bayes and the decision tree-ID3 methods are popular and perform well. Both of these strategies, however, require categorical variables. This need necessitates the implementation of a discretization technique for numerical variables. The purpose of this study is to predict Jakarta's air quality using the multinomial naive Bayes and decision tree method based on Particulate Matter 10 µg (PM10), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Ozone (O3), and Carbon Monoxide (CO). These continuous variables are discretized in two ways: using all midway breakpoints or halfway mixture breakpoints. The results indicated that the decision tree method with the mixture breakpoints halfway approach performed better than the multinomial nave Bayes method, with an accuracy of 98.90%, a specificity of 98.92%, a sensitivity of 75.00%, a precision of 75.00%, and an F1 score of 97.81%.
