Abstract

Suction pump is an electromedical device that is used manually with the help of the user which functions to suck fluids that are not needed by the body. Then the liquid that is not needed is accommodated in a container. Suction is often damaged due to the presence of mucus or liquid that enters the motor rotation. So from the above problems, the author made a Suction Pump Modification equipped with a K-0135 Water Level Sensor. This sensor will also read the liquid that enters the tube with Minimum and Maximum level readings (Low, Middle and Full). The sensor on this tube is very necessary to make it easier for the user to know the liquid is almost full. This research will be conducted in the Sari Mutiara University lab. The type of research method is experimental research, namely conducting direct experiments on the designed tools.The measurement results from the K0135 Water Level Sensor are displayed on the LCD, with measurements of Low, Middle and Full level points.

Abstract

Suction Pump is a medical device that functions to suck fluids that are not needed by the body during the operation process, such as blood, stomach contents, and so on. Then the sucked liquid is accommodated in a container. Suction mostly still uses a manometer to read the results of the pressure sucked by the motor so that the user has difficulty reading it, the author makes modifications to the suction pump which is equipped with a pressure sensor. This sensor will change the results of the suction pressure on the vacuum motor into digital which will be displayed on the LCD. This research will be conducted at the Sari Mutiara University lab. The type of research method is experimental research, namely conducting direct experiments on tools designed to build. The measurement results of the suction pressure will be displayed on the LCD, with measurements according to the standard of the suction pump suction in general.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the analysis of corrective maintenance on Syringe pumps. Maintenance of medical equipment is very important, which is useful for extending the service life of the equipment and ensuring the performance of the equipment to function according to its specifications. Corrective maintenance is a maintenance activity that is repairing damaged equipment with or without replacement of spare parts. This maintenance is intended to restore the damaged equipment to a usable and operational condition. The purpose of the study was to determine the of the Syringe Pump maintenance. The method used is Observational and Qualitative. The results of the research are Damaged Batteries, Soaks, Empty Alarm Sensors, Syringe Size sensors, Power Supply completely dead, the solution is after measurement and analysis. Syringe Pump found a Syringe size sensor problem that is not functioning properly, the solution is to replace the new Syringe size sensor. Syringe pump Supply is totally dead, the solution is to replace the 5 ampere fuse. Empty on the Syringe Pump is damaged, the solution is to replace the empty sensor. So the solution is to replace the battery with a new battery.

Abstract

Health equipment is a supporting tool for medical service facilities. Room temperature is also very important in the placement of medical devices so that there are no errors in reading the equipment or damage to medical devices can occur. Calibration is an activity to determine the conventional truth of the value of the indication of measuring instruments and measuring materials by comparing them to traceable measuring standards to national and international standards for units of measure and/or international and certified reference materials. The method used in conducting electrical safety test analysis and calibration on the centrifuge is ECRI, IEC 60601-2. The results of environmental measurements at temperature and humidity meet the requirements with a measured room temperature of 23°C and room humidity of 57.1%, the results of the electrical safety test measurement are declared safe and measured. Protective earth resistance is 0.432mΩ, equipment leakage current is 0.1µA and insulation resistance is 11.1MΩ , the results of the rotational speed accuracy measurement meet the tolerance limits of each value, for setting 2000RPM, 2500RPM, 3000RPM, 3500RPM, 4000RPM there is a deviation of 14.8 with an uncertainty value of 7.0 RPM, the results of the time accuracy measurement meet the tolerance limit with a setting value of 5 minutes (300 seconds) there is a deviation of 1.6 seconds with an uncertainty value of 2.55 seconds, for a full automatic Centrifuge with type HC-16D with Serial No. 2H01018 declared fit for use because it meets the tolerance limit.

Abstract

Baby incubator is a tool that has a function as a treatment and temperature adjustment (heater) for premature babies who really need a temperature that is in accordance with the temperature in the mother's womb. The Baby Incubator uses a heating element that is controlled by a temperature control circuit so that the temperature remains stable. the heater will work when the temperature is less than the predetermined temperature, on the contrary if the temperature sensor is greater than the temperature setting it will automatically turn off. Medical equipment, of course, cannot be separated from damage, both light and heavy, because damage can be caused by improper use of standard operating procedures (SOP), lack of maintenance/maintenance, and incidents/accidents caused by human error. Based on the observations that have been made by the author, it is known that medical equipment requires periodic maintenance to ensure the quality of health services. Preventive maintenance of the baby incubator. Preventive maintenance is maintenance and care activities carried out to prevent damage. Preventive maintenance can be carried out daily or monthly.

Abstract

Electrocardiograph is a tool that can display a graph of the electrical signal of the human heart that shows the process of the occurrence of a heartbeat. Through this tool it can be known whether a person's heart rate is normal or not. The method used in this study is qualitative and descriptive. preventive maintenance both from outside and inside the tool and aims to find out the maintenance of the el ectrocardiograph tool this maintenance function is running well, then the quality of the medical equipment used will be good too. From the results of the maintenance and testing of the electrocardiograph that was carried out at the Teaching Hospital of the University of North Sumatra, Medan. The maintenance of the electrocardiograph was carried out by internal calibration with measurements of 30,60,120,240.and by looking at the value of the graph whether it was still curly or not.The results of this study indicate that in practice, the system of maintenance cannot run as it should, due to the limited number of technicians, lack of training, costs, and maintenance procedures that are not in accordance with the planning, operation, and supervision procedures that are not carried out properly.

Abstract

Jaundice (Neonatal Jaundice) or better known as Jaundice in newborns is a normal thing and usually occurs 1-2 weeks after the birth of the baby. Based on statistics, 60% of the number of newborns look yellow less than 24 hours after the birth of the baby which indicates that the level of bilirubin in the blood is high. This condition is called hyperbiliruinemia. Hyperbilirubinemia is the term used for neonatal jaundice after laboratory results show an increase in bilirubin levels. Bilirubin is the result of the breakdown of hemoglobin due to damaged red blood cells and requires immediate medical attention. If left untreated, excess bilirubin in the blood can enter the brain and damage the brain. Yellow color in babies is usually seen on the forehead and the whites of the eyes, then down to the body, arms and legs. One of the most common medical treatments to cure jaundice is using Phototherapy. Basically babies who suffer from jaundice will be irradiated with blue light which has a long range of 400-510 nm for a certain period of time until their Bilirubin level drops to a level that is safe for the baby.

Abstract

The operating lamp is one of the medical devices that has a very important role in the world of health, especially in hospitals when performing surgery. The purpose of this study was to determine the design of operating lamps for Arduino Uno-based Brightnees. To find out the low, medium, high light settings when in operation. Type of Research This research uses an experimental research type. By measuring, testing and collecting data directly at a distance of 70 meters & 100 meters using a Bh1750 sensor and compared with Lux Meter measurements on the design of operating lamps on Arduino Uno-based brightnees. The results obtained From the measurements that have been carried out using the Bh1750 sensor 5 times at a distance of 70 & 100 meters, the authors get an average, low distance of 70 M: 201.2, low distance of 100M: 43.4. Medium distance 70M: 824.2 medium distance 100M: 242.4. And high distance 70 M: 1,311.8 high distance 100 M: 700. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the farther the distance of light from the object, the less amount of light appears, and conversely, the closer the intensity of light to the object, the greater the amount of light. emerging.

Abstract

Checking the accuracy of the required medical equipment on the suction pump calibrator with measurements that have been made using a standardized pressure gauge. The purpose of this study was to determine the maintenance of the suction pump at Haji Adam Malik Hospital Medan in 2022. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The tool used is a suction pump and a questionnaire as a measuring tool used. The results showed that the motor rotation function, cable resistance, and hose were not in accordance with the suction pump maintenance standard, and encountered problems, namely the tool could not work as usual, so that maintenance repairs were carried out on the tool, namely readjusting the value according to the standard on the suction pump tool, so that the tool was able to work well.
