Abstract

Solar cell is a device that converts radiation from sunlight into electrical energy directly, which is also called photovoltaic . The Solar Module ( Photovoltaic ), functions to convert solar energy into DC electric current which is forwarded to the Battery Control Unit (BCU) for further storage in the battery. In this research, a solar cell electric power system with a capacity of 10 MW on-grid will be designed for large industrial needs. The performance of a 10 MW on-grid solar cell power system was simulated using RETScreen Clean Energy Project Analysis software , designed by Natural Resources Canada. This research begins with a prefeasibility study of a 10 MW on-grid solar cell power system using RETScreen software which has an extensive database of meteorological data including daily horizontal solar global radiation as well as databases of various components of renewable energy systems from different manufacturers. The technical and financial performance of a 10 MW on-grid solar cell power system was simulated using RETScreen software. This design is expected to be used as a model to develop a Solar Power Generation System (PLTS) network for large industrial needs.

Abstract

In designing the backbone network for the province of East Kalimantan using Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Optical Transport Network (OTN) devices which cover 10 districts and cities consisting of 34 segments, of which 34 segments consist of 10 OTN DWDM sites and 16 Optical Land Amplifier sites ( OLA). From the results of the design and simulation of the backbone network, it was found that the value of the Optical Link Power Budget (OLPB) < 50 dBm where this value is the ideal value in deploying a DWDM OTN backbone network, and the range of the Optical Signal Noise Ratio (OSNR) is between 20 dBm < OSNR < 40 dBm, which is the ideal value for OSNR, and has an Optical Rise Time Budget (ORTB) < 60 ps, and also has a segment margin system of > 7 dB.

Abstract

Energy is a basic need of every human being. The current energy needs are mostly met by energy sourced from fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas. However, the current supply of energy is decreasing. If not immediately addressed, the possibility of an energy crisis is unavoidable. Alternative energy is one of the right solutions in fulfilling electrical energy sourced from fossil fuels because it is considered renewable and environmentally friendly energy. One alternative that can be applied to this problem is the use of solar cell technology. In this study, a PLTS plan will be made for the needs of small industries. The design of this PLTS is done by making an ideal design with the specifications of the equipment on the market. The results of the design show that the components of the PV mini-grid system in medium-sized industries are one SMA Sunny boy 20000TL inverter, and 100 solar panels with a capacity of 200 Wp.

Abstract

Electricity no could separated with life society . Benefit energy electricity for life man very a lot of source lighting and needs other . By because that very required reliability in electrical energy delivery from center generator power electricity until to consumer . A proper protection system is needed could prevent happening damage in particular on feeder 20 kv . Frequent things occur for example occur disturbance strike lightning that can result in damage and cut off delivery of electrical energy . By because that for prevent happening disturbance caused _ by lightning the eat coordination safety lightning (arrester) must conducted with good . PT PLN ( Persero ) Pematang Area Siantar is a service unit serving customers needs electricity in the area Pematang Siantar and surrounding. PT PLN ( Persero ) Pematang Area Siantar also To do care , and repair on network voltage medium 20 kV distributed from substation parent to consumer.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, there have been many developments, especially in the realm of technology. Technological advances are expected to facilitate human work. One example is the development of doors, where now there are many doors that operate automatically. Automatic door is a door that will open automatically when someone approaches the door without opening or pushing the door manually. Nowadays automatic doors have been widely used in various places. to facilitate access to a place, the authors conducted research to design automatic doors based on body temperature. This tool is designed using a GY 906 temperature sensor combined with the Arduino uno program.

Abstract

On era of globalization needs of electrical energy very high . In distribution of electrical energy expected could walk with good without existence interference. Distribution of electrical energy from generator until distribution to consumer expected could walk with good . In another side also often occur disturbance specifically on the distribution system power electricity . System distribution power electricity that uses cable air or cable soil often experience various interference . Frequent disturbances _ occur is disturbance symmetry or disturbance not the symmetry that can in the form of connection short one phase to land , between phase or break up wrong one or more . For knowing big current disturbance the required analysis system distribution transformer for knowing disturbances that will happen . Security setting design on network proper distribution is something effort protect equipment, system as well as needs consumer from possible disturbance occur in system distribution. Calculation current disturbance and big transformer nominal current will used as reference important in determination of transformer settings in deployment voltage to consumers

Abstract

The need for electricity both for industry, offices, as well as the general public and individuals is increasing. However, this increase in electricity demand is not accompanied by an increase in electricity supply. Based on these problems, solar energy was chosen as an alternative energy to produce electrical energy. The tool used here is a solar cell, because it can convert solar radiation directly into electrical energy (photovoltaic process). In order for solar energy to be used at night, during the day the electrical energy produced is stored in a battery controlled by the regulator. The regulator output is directly connected to the inverter from DC to AC current. The results of the solar module test (photovoltaic) show that the average output power reaches 38.24 Watt, and the current obtained is 2.49 A (Amperes). This is because the photovoltaic when following the direction of the sun's movement will always position the photovoltaic to remain facing the sun so that it will still be able to capture the sun's rays optimally.
