Abstract

The role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is very important in building an economy based on a just economic democracy. Like most business entities, MSMEs have been heavily influenced by uncertain market conditions since the Covid-19 pandemic. However, MSMEs with less stringent capital characteristics and regulations have relatively good resilience and flexibility to deal with a pandemic situation. However, there are also MSMEs that lack the resilience and flexibility to deal with a pandemic due to low levels of digitization, difficulty accessing technology, and a lack of understanding of strategies to survive in business. This also happened in Ciasmara Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency. The government has also carried out programs to maintain the sustainability of MSMEs in the midst of a pandemic. One of the government's programs to maintain the existence of MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic, by conducting MSME Productive Assistance (BPUM). Simultaneously with the implementation of government programs that directly support these MSMEs, community service was also carried out in Ciasmara Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency. Thus, in addition to having BPUM from the government, there is also the introduction of sharia financing as part of community service activities in Ciasmara Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency.

Abstract

The characteristics of Islamic banking are different from banking which is based on an interest system, Islamic banking is actually based on the core product of profit-sharing financing developed in musyārakah and muḍārabah financing products. The presence of Islamic banking should have a big impact on the growth of the real sector. One of the business units that needs to be developed to encourage growth in the real sector is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which in the current national economy have a very important position, because of their contribution to employment and Gross Domestic Product (GDP), as well as flexibility and resilience in the face of economic crises. Islamic banking financing allocated to MSMEs in Bogor has experienced a fluctuating increase, but its contribution to increasing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has not been optimal. Islamic banking financing in Bogor has quite encouraging prospects in view of the quantity of MSMEs that have not yet obtained financing facilities. It is within this framework that community service is carried out by programming the introduction of Islamic banks and Islamic microfinance institutions in Sukajadi Village, Tamansari District, Bogor Regency from July to August 2020.

The subject of this community service is the people of Ciaruteun Ilir Village, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. In this community service, activities are carried out that can provide enlightenment to MSMEs. Islamic banks and Islamic microfinance institutions must assist MSMEs in running their business so that sharia financing provided to MSMEs can be in line with the objectives of sharia financing. In addition, Islamic banks and Islamic microfinance institutions need to be intensely involved in monitoring and ensuring that MSMEs that receive financing assistance are able to manage their finances properly. With this community service, it can be concluded that people who are involved in MSMEs need to continue to increase their understanding that sharia financing will increase their income and welfare and of course it will directly reduce poverty. In addition, the presence of the MSME community is expected to become an extension in introducing and educating ordinary people (non-SMEs) to be involved in business activities that involve Islamic banks and Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises or rural MSMEs have a relatively large contribution to the macro economy in both regional and national contexts. However, in practice, there are many obstacles and obstacles faced by MSMEs, one of which is experiencing difficulties in capital capacity. The majority of capital owned by rural MSMEs is not through formal financial institutions, but rather their own capital. Therefore, through community service by programming sharia financing, it aims to help restore the economic conditions of rural MSMEs. With a solutive and applicable sharia financing model, it is hoped that there will be an increase in financial inclusion for rural MSMEs. This is aimed at serving the community in Dukuh Village, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency.
