Abstract

The development of digital technology shows very rapid progress. This development is also closely related to the availability of the storage media needed for data storage. This need is due to the fact that more and more data is stored, and the size of the data is large. Compression is a technique to reduce the amount of data size from the original data. The general principle used in the video compression process is to reduce duplication of data in the video so that the memory needed to represent the original video. Many of the videos that are produced contain duplicate data. In this study, the authors applied the Delta Modulation method to perform MP4 videos. This method will compress by grouping pixels into 8x8 macro blocks. And added with the quantity process to shrink the pixel value, so that the Delta Modulation process works better on compressed MP4 videos.

Abstract

Communicating with each other is one of the basic human traits. Communication serves as a means of interacting with one another. Humans sometimes want to master one foreign language. Especially if that language is popular. Humans also don't want to be outdated in mastering the language. dictionary then humans will be able to learn the language and know what language they want to master. So far, if someone wants to learn a foreign language, one example is Korean, the medium used to facilitate vocabulary mastery is through a dictionary. Because the dictionary form is still in the form of like books, inflexible, difficult to carry, resulting in less effective when out or on the road. A practical and effective new media such as smartphone media is needed because smartphones support various applications such as dictionary applications. The dictionary application on the smartphone does not search for words manually. But the search facility in the dictionary application makes it easier for users to get the words they want to look for. one of the string matching algorithms such as the text rank algorithm, it makes it easier and faster to search for words in the dictionary. It was explained that the Textrank Algorithm begins to match the pattern at the beginning of the text. Word matching starts from the left position until finally reaches the rightmost position, this algorithm will match the character of the pattern character with the characters in the corresponding text, until one of the following conditions is met, namely the character in the pattern and in the text being compared does not match (mismatch) and all the characters in the pattern match, then the algorithm will notify the discovery at this position.

Abstract

The eruption of Mount Merapi Sinabung from 2010 to the present, resulted in a large number of residents who had to be evacuated because they could not contain a place, so it had to be relocated in order to neutralize the number of refugees. Where the relocation is carried out in various places both in rural areas and in buildings in the area around Karo district. However, with this relocation, many people, both relatives and families as well as a number of institutions wishing to provide extension assistance, find it difficult because of the lack of information about the location and distance that must be traveled in order to get to the relocation site. Based on these problems, the author will discuss the creation of a Geographic information system for finding relocation sites by applying the Haversine formula method. In order to be able to determine the distance to the relocation site so that later it can help the community in finding a relocation place

Abstract

The needs of modern humans and the demands of technological developments today force every individual to work a lot on computers and use all digital data, requiring everyone to use a text file manager application such as Microsoft Office to process a conventional text into a digital text file. This is because files in digital electronic form are preferred over conventional forms, due to certain factors such as data security problems, ease of processing, distribution and modification of data. The tendency of humans at this time to collect data in the form of text files and documents on a computer causes storage media on computer devices to run out faster. Moreover, at this time most individuals share text files using internet media via email or social media such as WhatsApp and telegram, meanwhile the very slow internet network in Indonesia causes the sending of large text files to take a very long time. The Taboo Codes algorithm has an approximation to the length of a variable. The initiator of the Taboo Codes Algorithm is Steven Pigeon, the principle of the Taboo Codes Algorithm, which is to select positive n numbers and reverse the n pattern to indicate the end of the code, the taboo codes algorithm works to compress text files by replacing the original binary value of each character into a binary value. The taboo codes algorithm is shorter, so compressing a text file using the taboo codes algorithm can reduce the original text file size by about 20%.

Abstract

Data compression is a technique to reduce the amount of data size (compression results) from the original data. Data compression is generally applied to computer machines, this is done because each symbol that appears on the computer has a different bit value. The analysis is carried out in the process of working of the Self Delimiting Codes Algorithm. This compression technique is to build self-delimiting code, codes that have variable length and can be clearly translated to produce an algorithm output in the form of a binary string or code that translates each input string so that the string has a small number of bits compared to an uncompressed string.
