Abstract

According to Riskesdas data in 2018, the prevalence of caries in Indonesia is 66% and data on toothbrush behavior in the population aged 3 years and over shows that the correct brushing behavior is still below 4%. The covid-19 pandemic situation that is still unfinished has delayed the maintenance of dental and oral health, especially routine examinations of dental and oral health The school age period is the most important time to start maintaining healthy teeth and mouth, this is because the good quality of health is a reflection of the quality of human resources. In an effort to help deal with this problem, counseling and education were carried out on how to maintain oral and dental health in the Al Azhar 8 Islamic junior high school (SMPI) community, Bekasi. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and provide training on how to maintain and care for dental and oral health while at home. The method used in this counseling and training is carried out online using the zoom application. The main material given to the participants was to introduce how to maintain oral and dental health with the "SIBENUR" method (dental floss brush and gargle). This method can make it easier for counseling participants to remind them how to maintain healthy teeth and mouth at home. Evaluation of knowledge improvement in this counseling uses pretest and post test using the Google Form. The aims of this test is to measure the level of knowledge. The results obtained from 3 groups of respondents divided by class group showed data on an average increase in knowledge of 76%. It is hoped that this increase in knowledge can also improve the degree of dental and oral health in the community, especially in the target partner community

Abstract

Rawa Buaya Village is one of the villages in the West Jakarta. This village is a densely populated village with a limited number of health facilities. Based on the 2018 DKI National Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) data, the proportion of the population aged over 10 years in West Jakarta who behaved properly in washing their hands was only 49.11%. Hand washing is the most important basic technique in the prevention and control of infection transmission because it mechanically removes dirt and dust from the skin surface and reduces the number of pathogenic microorganisms. Because knowledge of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) by washing hands with soap is a determining factor in the transmission of infectious diseases such as diarrhea, respiratory infections including Covid-19, education is needed to increase this knowledge. Education by counseling and training activities are carried out online through the Zoom teleconference on April 23, 2022, followed by 45 village residents. Participants' knowledge was assessed by pre-test and post-test using Google Form. From the post-test’s results, there is an increase in the participants’s knowledge by 22.9% with an increase in the percentage of correct answers from the pre and post test ranging from 6.6% - 35.6%, which is also expected to change in habits or behavior.

Abstract

Dengue hemorhagic fever (DHF) is an infection caused by dengue virus. Dengue is a virus that is transmitted from Aedes Spp mosquito, the fastest growing mosquito in the world and has transmitted dengue virus. The prevalence of DHF until July 2020 has reached 71.633 in Indonesia, and 4.227 cases only in DKI Jakarta province. We usually don’t find new case on July, but this year we still find new cases on July. This should increase our vigilance, especially at this time when there is a pandemic of COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge about dengue fever so that they can prevent dengue fever in their area. This activity is carried out through seminar using the zoom application because conditions in the field do not allow offline activities to be held. The activity will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The results obtained through this PKM activity is an increase in the level of participants' knowledge about DHF as evidenced by an increase in post-test scores after attending the seminar. The conclusion of this PKM activity went well because of the support from all related parties from institutions, solid teams, and partners who actively participated. The shortage of this PKM activity is that the activities are carried out online because the conditions are still not conducive to do an offline activity. The advice we can give is to carry out PKM activities again with the same partner with different health topics according to the conditions that exist in the partners.

This community Service Counseling aims to increase knowledge and skills in dealing with dental trauma problems. Counseling was carried out by the Trisakti University Faculty of Dentistry Team to PKK organization in Cideng, Gambir, Central Jakarta on January 5, 2022. Counseling includes the knowledge on handling emergency dental trauma using webinar methode with power point and animated videos. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic requires office workers to wear masks in their daily lives. The reported side effects of wearing mask in long time period include orofacial pain. Self physiotherapy can be an easy solution in preventing and treating the pain. The purpose of this training is to train people to be able to strengthen and relax their facial muscles to prevent masticatory muscle pain. The online training was conducted on July 5, 2022 to 29 participants with Indonesian Attorney General's Office health workers as the majority. The evaluation results showed improvements in all training topics regarding personal protection, side effects of wearing masks, and ways to overcome side effects of wearing masks. Self physiotherapy skills could not be done in detail because of the limitations of online communication. Online training can improve participants' ability to practice stretching and muscle relaxation better.

Abstract

Today, cardiovascular disease is the second biggest cause of mortality worldwide, after cancer. In urban communities, bicycle communities are also activated by an awareness of the significance of staying fit through exercise, particularly cycling. Nonetheless, sports can also trigger health issues, such as heart attacks or cardiac arrest due to fatigue or exhaustion. Numerous common individuals are unfamiliar with the terms basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and hence lack the confidence to assist victims. Method. On 19 June 2021, 30 members of the Bikelah community attended a presentation and video screening regarding Basic Life Support. Result: Following an explanation of the Basic Life Support material, the respondents' perception and knowledge of the adoption of BHD increased from 60% to 93%, and their willingness to assist an unconscious victim similarly increased from 53% to 90%. Respondents also had a better understanding of the significance of assisting an unconscious victim prior to the arrival of medical personnel. Conclusion. Because the period of chance to avoid brain cell damage is brief, victims might benefit from basic knowledge and abilities in Basic Life Support. The goal for the future is to deliver mannequin-based training to the broader population.
