Abstract

Background: Patients with emergency conditions will get the first health service in the Emergency Room (IGD). The emergency room nurse has an important role in assessing and determining the severity of the patient. The nurse determines the priority of action and the need for treatment in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using triage. One of the triage that can be done is triage scoring to facilitate nurses in determining high-risk and low-risk patients. Purpose: To find out the triage scoring used during the pandemic. Methods: Literature search is conducted using the PICO framework. This systematic review is limited to articles published from 2019-2021 with articles in English. The database used is Google Scholar. PubMed, Science Direct, and ProQuest which using the keywords score, triage, pandemic and emergency care. Results: Based on the three articles reviewed, an overview of the use of triage scores during a pandemic is obtained using the SODA score, modified PRIEST and double triage and telemedicine protocols. Giving the triage score can make it easier for health workers to identify high-risk patients and prevent unexpected events. Conclusion: Triage scoring can be applied at Covid-19 referral hospitals which helps nurses determine priorities and prevents special mortality in Indonesia, which is experiencing the second wave Keywords: Score, Triage, Pandemic

Abstract

Backgrounds: Snake bites are a medical emergency that can cause permanent disability and even death (Wintoko and Prameswari 2020). The main principle recommended for the first treatment of a snakebite is to immobilize the area with a pressure bandage (pressure immobilization bandages) then immediately referred to the hospital for further treatment. Objective: To know the effectiveness of pressure immobilization bandages (PIB) first aid against snake bite. Methods: Article searches were conducted electronically using Google Scholar, PubMed, Science direct, National Library and Pro quest databases. Articles used from 2016 to 2021. The keywords in this article search were “pressure immobilization bandages” and “snake bite. So that 5 research articles were reviewed. Inclusion criteria included articles published in 2016-2021, articles in Indonesian and English, involving snake bite patients and being given the Pressure immobilization bandage technique intervention. Meanwhile, the exclusion criteria include articles that cannot be accessed, based on meta-analysis, and journals that discuss snake bites but are not in accordance with the topic to be reviewed. Results: Pressure immobilization bandages (PIB) can be used in first aid because they can inhibit the spread of snake venom and are 20 times faster in the healing process if done in first aid. Conclusion: Pressure immobilization bandages (PIB) are effective in first aid for snake bites. Keywords: Pressure immobilization bandages; snake bite

Abstract

Backgrounds: Disasters often come without warning and canresulted in a lot of losses. Preparedness is a form of activity carried out to anticipate disasters. One of the activities that can be done to improve preparedness is by simulating using the Tabletop Disaster Exercise (TDE) media. Therefore, it is important to identify the effectiveness of tabletop disaster exercise on disaster preparedness. Objective : To assess the effectiveness of tabletop disaster exercise on disaster preparedness. Methods: The study was conducted based on the study. The search is limited to articles published in 2017-2021, full text, using the tabletop disaster exercise method with the type of original research. The databases used are Pubmed, National Library of Indonesia, and Google Scholar with the keywords tabletop disaster exercise, disaster, preparedness. Results: Five articles were found on the implementation of TDE which aims to improve preparedness and knowledge of disasters. The article contains knowledge, self-confidence, understanding of the role of disaster preparedness. The results of the analysis carried out on the five articles taken were the effectiveness of the tabltop disaster exercise on disaster preparedness with a value of p = 0.001 or p 0.05.Conclusion: The Tabletop Disaster Exercise is effectively implemented to improve disaster preparedness. Keywords: tabletop disaster exercise, disaster, preparedness

Diabetes Mellitus who suffers from diabetic ulcers requires proper care and treatment considering that the healing process is not short. To prevent the severity of injuries, efforts that can be made include good nutritional status, diabetes mellitus control, wound examination, foot care, and diabetic foot exercises. This research method used is descriptive case study. Subjects The research was conducted on 2 patients with 1 case with the same nursing problem, namely body image disorders with the provision of health education.
