Abstract

Mainstream discourse always separate on religion and state. In addition, this perspective arouses when there was a conflict between church and government ruler in the past. Therefore, it is a need to explore in the Muslim country how the relation between religions in this context is Islam and the state on the other side. This research was conducted in Malaysia to discover implementation of Islam as spirits of government in realizing their dream as nation. Qualitative research approach employed to discover data. In-depth interview and observation were employed in collecting data. During interview and observation, guidelines were utilized as instrument. This study shows that Islam is maintain the character of government official since the state was founded. Moreover, in the time of governing they extend the religion principle to enhance the administration activities. Finally, this research concludes that Islam and nation can coexist to expand the organization in politics.

Abstract

This article proves that social movements based on religious ideology of Islam is especially dynamic follow context socio-historical developments that occur. Response of Islamic leaders on moral concerns that plagued his people become the main base that considers the importance of taking action as propaganda. Pure propaganda movement religious movement has implicitly foothold in Islam. The moral movement later developed into a political movement with a target of obtaining the rights to get the role and influence in society. Formalization of Sharia law into the legal foundation of public life in Tasikmalaya district and is an important target Tholiban movement supported other Islamic organizations are congenial with Tholiban.

Abstract

This research proposed to get a factual description about multicultural politics of Chinese at post-reform in Medan. Factuality multicultural politics explored through the perspective of Chinese leaders thinking about the themes reconceptualization of integration and reconstruction of national identity. Empirical data of the two themes, used as input in the development of a multicultural society project in Medan. Collection of data was performed by assessment techniques documentation, observation and interviews. Data analysis using analytic comparison that in the data processing included in the method of agreement and method of difference. The research findings indicate (1) the perspective thinking of the Chinese leaders in reconceptualization of integration leads to the choice of "integrated-pluralism" as a polity that is considered more appropriate in establishing the post-reform integration in Medan, (2) ideas, demands and expectations of the Chinese leaders about the reconstruction of national identity formulations produce a national identity that is more fitting for Indonesia in the era of globalization, the "hybrid identity”. This formulation describes the Indonesian identity continues to be fluid and dynamic, and (3) the synergy of these two themes show has been a shift from cultural pluralism to multiculturalism that in the arrangement still requires time and a more conducive atmosphere.

Abstract

Tan Keraton Yogyakarta bukan sekedar tontonan tetapi adalah sebuah media yang mengandung tuntunan. Bukan hanya bagi semuayang terlibat dalam pementasan tari, tetapi juga tuntunan bagi yang menonton Patokan bak.u dalam tari keraton yang hersumber pada nilai tata krama keratin merupakan etika moralitas, sebagai sarana penanaman karakter. Nilai-nilai tersebut terumuskan dalam empat prinsip yang wajib dimiliki penari yaitu sawiji, greget, sengguh, dan ora mingkub (falsafah Joged Mataram). Dikaji dari aspek aksiologis, tari keraton mengandung ajaran yang menempatkan \rasa sebagai rub’ dan 'pengendalian diri sebagai inti’. Aspek rasa serta pengendalian diri ini lab yang memiliki relev ansi bagi pembangunan karakter bangsa saat ini.

Abstract

Islam is universal religion. An s Syahrur said that: from the end of nineteenth century until now, a popular slogan has been heard: 'Islam is the solution". This means that, Islam is no only guide about religion but also politic. Politic discourse is current moment rise the discourse of other Islam thought, like theology, kalam and tasawuf. The history proved that politic is the first problem which is to be considered ly moslem, is about politic success. Also this phenomenon to be based on rise thought discourse on relation between nation and religion in the moslem world. In the classic era, there are many percevective about police in Islam. Like Sunni, Shi’a, Khawarij and the another madhhab in Islam. A l l of theme is deperent each other. The main idea in this writing, relation between nation and religion, how is Islam viewing development? So to focus this writing The first histories of politic in word of Islam, The second, typology and character politic and then, it is discoursed about how is the Islam nation position in the perspective of Quran texts. This writing dames that the Muslims thought agreed that Islam and moslem need nation. The end, Islam wants to be given shape to social politic society of Islam which high respect fairness or social justice, and humanity values. The social order of society of socio-politics had been historic in Medina, when the Prophet Muhammad’s leadership. This condition, shows that Islam is for situation from the book (al-Qur’an) hoping. This article will analyze about this problem.

Abstract

This paper reflects the present of political Islam and Cultural Islam in recent Papua. The groups of Islamic movements sign that number of Moslem population is growing in line with the coming of the Moslem immigrant from other areas of Indonesia. The consequences are facilities such as mosques, Islamic institutions, Islamic schools I educations are increasing. The Papuan Moslem Assembly which represents the indigenous Muslim organizations discourages the newly came Islamic organizations such as Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI), Salafi, even Laskar Jihad, to utilize the hardline links and teachings in preaching (dakwah). From the encounter side or non-Muslim, indigenous Papua and particularly Christian that phenomena leads to the Islamization which is warning of the peace building. This paper also suggests to create a friendly teachings I mission and to move closely the dakwah into the local/ indigenous people within community. The diversity of Papuan identity calls the Islamic preachers to have more respects and cultural understanding during the teachings

Abstract

The study aims to analyze political will of the voters the leadership figure of the village chief candidate in rural community development in the Sanggung village, Gatak District, Sukoharjo, 2012. This study used a descriptive approach. The population in this study is 1 5 0 0 suffrage and sample is 1 00 suffrage. The instruments to collect data using questionnaires. The data analysis using the percentage percentile). The results of this study found that political will of the voters the leadership figure of the village chief candidate in doing the task of rural community development, that is: the initiatives (98% ); the priority (8 2% ); oriented mobilization of community development (5 0% ); emphasizing the rule of law in the form of severe punishment for corruption (4 0% ); business sustainability minded (99% ); attention try giving passion and spirit new life and eliminate the monotony of village life (97% ); influential in improving the socio-economic welfare (1 0 0% ); improving education (8 4% ); undertake modernization in the field of transport and technology (1 0 0% ); did not contest the figure gender prospective village chief (6 9% ) and the changes (94%).

Abstract

By the end of the caliphate system, the Islamic world face many questions, among others, the question of the relationship of Muslims as citizens of the country. A t the time of the new order, the majority of Muslims as citizens of the nation-state in Indonesia do not have bargaining power significant in balancing the country's dominance. This relationship is not conducive to the process of democratization. To overcome it appears some ikhtiar, among citizenry missionary movement to create a civil society. Missionary citizenship can be done by internalization Islamic values relevant to the citizens of the community.

Abstract

Cleric is a person who always used various references in Acehnese society especially in politics today. Even now, most local political parties participated also pioneered by some scholars communities in Aceh. The role and attitude of the clergy in the face of the year 2014 election greatly affect the performance of legislative policy on the future, because the legislature is as representative of the general public. With the implementation of Qanun in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) policy concerning both national parties (Pamas) and local political parties (Parlok) has contributed and a more mature understanding of politics, because the phenomenon will occur in the 2014 election ahead is a form of democracy the general public. Surely democracy must apply the principle of the system or if only to push forward or succeed to be submitted a candidate, is one of the 2014 elections itself. So that all policies of public interest can be accepted and applied in different elements of the community through the election to be held.
