Abstract

Collaboration and cooperation among entrepreneurs and enterprises have created strategies to improve well-being and create sustainable businesses to foster regional development. Therefore, this paper investigates the relationship between knowledge sharing, innovation and socio-economic growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria's rabbit farming e-clusters space. The web survey method was adopted by employing five Likert scale questionnaires through social media platforms respondents. 78 valid respondents were collected from MSMEs in rabbit farming e-clusters. The hypothesis was tested using the structural equation modelling (SEM) approach. The finding suggests knowledge sharing, innovation capacity, and firm performance positively influence the socio-economic growth of rabbit farmers in e-cluster. Social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook and Telegram, prove that farmers not in the same geographical location are not a barrier to the benefit of clusters. This study proposes that knowledge sharing, innovation capacity and firm performance within an e-cluster improved the socio-economic growth of farmers. The acceptance of a physical-less business cluster that would reduce the rural-urban migration of agribusiness can be achieved. This study contributes to the literature on knowledge transfer, innovation and firm performance in e-cluster rabbit farming. A new dimension to the Industrial Cluster model by adapting to a virtual agglomeration of business and social media platforms.

Abstract

Fuel is a burning issue in Bangladesh as well as in today's world. Domestic is one of the main sectors of fuel consumption. There is no denying that much research is being conducted on fuels. However, changes in fuel use and fuel use at the domestic level have not been studied yet, although changes in many other aspects of culture have been studied. As a result, we do not have enough information to make policy recommendations in this area. Basically, research regarding how fuel use changed over time is important in the current fuel crisis situation since, to cope with the present or upcoming fuel crisis, it is important to know how a group of people collected fuel in their different ecological and socio-economic conditions. Given the significance of past coping strategies in fuel collection, this study sought to identify fuels and fuel use dynamics at the domestic level in rural Bangladesh. Applying qualitative research methods, this research found that changes in fuel use at the domestic level occur as soon as the agricultural technology, cultivation system, and market demand of any crops change. Also, changes in livelihoods and lifestyles, urbanization, and the globalization of technology create noticeable changes in domestic fuel use in Bangladesh. This research invites researchers from universities and development agencies to conduct future long-scaled research with a huge number of respondents from diversified backgrounds to produce knowledge regarding changes in fuel use at the domestic level in rural and urban areas of the country.

Abstract

Adopting sustainability strategies improves a company's efficiency on many levels, including quality of work, a good track record, image improvement, and major investor commitment that affects its operations. This descriptive study aimed to explore the critical viewpoint of the current challenges and lessons learned in selected lodging accommodations in Zambales, Philippines. It employed a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design using purposive sampling with 400 respondents. The Kruskal-Wallis test revealed that there is a significant difference in the perception of the respondents when they are grouped according to job positions. Resort and hotel workforces must be qualified in accordance with their positions, and continuous training is important to inculcate a sense of responsibility. Also, there is a little causal relationship between practices in socio-cultural, economic, and environmental aspects. Employees are not mindful of their practices as to whether they are attributable to sustainable operations. It also reveals that 379 out of 400 resorts and hotels have an existing plan that they are seriously crafting and implementing to address the challenges of their operations. They undertake appropriate measures to ensure that management is responsive to the impacts of tourism. Thus, long-term solutions are stressed to promote the environmental, economic, and social management plans for guest satisfaction and effective overall performance for sustainable lodging accommodations in the region.

Abstract

Plastic waste has been one of the pressing problems in Baguio City. Among the largest contributors to waste is the City's Public Market. The study's main objective is to assess the implementation of the Plastic and Styrofoam-free Policy of Baguio City in its public market to draft an action plan for its possible improvement. Specifically, it sought to determine the level of implementation of the Plastic and Styrofoam-free Policy by the technical working group from the City General Services Office; to determine the level of compliance with the Plastic and Styrofoam-free Policy among the registered stall owners in the public market; and to determine significant difference between the level of compliance among the different groups of registered stall owners in the public market according to their Line of business. The findings shall be a basis for preparing and proposing an action plan. The researchers used a quantitative research design, particularly the descriptive survey research method, and a survey questionnaire as a data collection method. The overall results showed that the ordinance must be implemented and complied with. Given this, the ordinance must be amended, allowing the use of biodegradable plastics as primary packaging for fresh and wet goods. Massive information dissemination thereof will heighten the implementation and compliance therewith.

Abstract

In the field of education, teachers are crucial to raising the standard of instruction. They play a crucial role in making sure that school events run well and serve as role models that pupils adore. The two main challenges educational institutions face are low job satisfaction among teachers and concerns about environmental influence. This study aims to determine the direct and indirect effects of implementing green school programs and organizational culture on job satisfaction and environmentally friendly behavior of Vocational High School (SMK) teachers.  This study employs quantitative research techniques. 211 teachers responded to a questionnaire that was used togather the data. The data obtained were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results of the study found that green school did not affect job satisfaction, while organizational culture influenced job satisfaction. Job satisfaction affects environmentally friendly behavior. The green school does not affect environmentally friendly behavior either directly or through job satisfaction.  Environmentally friendly behavior is not directly influenced by organizational culture, but it is indirectly influenced by job satisfaction.  According to this study, job satisfaction can mediate the influence of organizational culture on employees' propensity to behave sustainably, but it cannot, as yet, do the same for the influence of green schools. This finding implies that in increasing the eco-friendly behavior of vocational teachers, school management needs to encourage an increase in teacher job satisfaction by paying attention to the organizational culture adopted by the school.

Abstract

The development of geotourism is a trend in the field of tourism that is always being developed. The exoticism of natural tours in the environment of geothermal and volcanology activities will be proportioned to the potential risks that appear. The records of tracking from several countries show the fatal conditions from the effects of carbon dioxide emissions such as H2S, SO2, and CO that are emitted from unexpected geophysical activity, odorless so that they are not detected properly in geotourism zones that cause casualties of inhabitant and tourist. The aim of this paper is to provide a reference of the framework for the drone explore architecture for the requirement of monitoring in the environmental conditions of the limited GPS signal. This study implemented the Research & Development (R&D) method by using the Zachman framework. The study found that the development of the Early Warning System (EWS) as a part of mitigation using robotic technology such as the UAV drone becomes the solution requirement of the problem because the drone is capable of carrying sensors that detect harmful gases with a radius that is relatively low. The drone sensor will process the gas data with the permitted threshold gas ratio and send the collected data to the administration system. This case becomes a part of the disaster mitigation process in the geotourism field.
