Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan WhatsApp sebagai media pembelajaran di Universitas Al-Wasliyah pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Permasalahan yang ditemukan terkait pemanfaatan WhatsApp sebagai media pembelajaran di tersebut sertahambatan yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa WhatsApp sebagai media komunikasi dapat mempermudah proses pembalajaran dan penyampaian informasi kepada mahasiswa maupun dosen di Universitas Al-Wasliyah Labuhan Batu. Ada beberapa fitur WhatsApp yang sering digunakan pengajar dan staff untuk mempermudah proses komunikasi yaitu fitur foto, video, dokumen, group, dan call (telepon). Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and explain how the use of the Instagram application is used as a medium of interaction and communication. The problem is focused on the use of Instagram as a communication medium, the weaknesses and strengths of Instagram as a communication medium, and the impact of using Instagram on the social life of students. In order to approach this problem, the uses and gratifications theory is used as a reference. The data was collected through observations of students' Instagram accounts, in-depth interviews with students with Instagram accounts, and documenting student activities on Instagram. The results show that Instagram has advantages and disadvantages, as well as positive and negative impacts. The positive impact of using Instagram for students is that they gain a lot of insight and information, make users creative, can see the outside world through photos and videos, can meet old friends and new people around the world, and provide many benefits for business actors. Meanwhile, the negative impact that is felt is to make Instagram addicted and wasteful in using the internet.

Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of the use of Instagram social media in improving the image of the Delitua Police Police. In the current era of globalization, information and communication technology is developing so fast. Social media seems to be a mediator that can encourage the dissemination of information. One of the social media that is widely used in conveying information and communication is Instagram. This article uses qualitative research methods. The data in this study were obtained from the results of interviews with Delitua police personnel. The results of the study show that Instagram is a very effective social media in building the image of the Delitua Police Sector Police. Not only that, Instagram social media also makes it easier for people to communicate with the Delitua Police and make complaints.

Abstract

This article discusses how to apply digital marketing as a marketing communication for Happy Storiesphotography services to consumers in Medan. Happy Storiesis a vendor that offers complete photo products and services. Happy Storiesutilizes Instagram as a medium to market its products and services. This article uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data were obtained from interviews with Happy Storiesowners and two consumers who had used Happy Storiesphotography services. The results of the study show that the application of digital marketing from Happy Storiesuses a very good application of social media marketing. Marketing through digital marketing is able to promote and even create products and services from Happy Stories. Currently, Happy Storiesproducts and services are widely used to capture various moments of activity such as wedding receptions, graduations.
