Abstract

: A five-compartment epidemiological model is analyzed to illustrate the dynamics of infectious diseases. In this model, the population is compartmented into susceptible, latent, infected, post-infection, and recovered. The model is a system of ordinary differential equations, where the stability is analyzed using Routh’s stability criterion. Two equilibrium points; disease-free and endemic equilibrium are stable but depends on the basic reproduction number. Derivation of the basic reproduction number is given using the next-generation method. This study ended by providing a case study of measles outbreaks before the effective implementation of the vaccine. The analysis of data fitting is done by using the Simulated Annealing minimization routine and the error value is 0.0406.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of relational elementary students in understanding the concept of real numbers. This research is an exploration of the research subject. The subjects of this study were students of MIN 2 Bengkulu Selatan. There is one realistic student in this research. The researcher is the main instrument in this research which is supported by an interview guide and an assignment sheet on the concept of real numbers. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study are that students with relational abilities can combine separate pieces of information to produce the completion of a task. Therefore it is suggested to teachers and researchers of mathematics education to explore students' mathematical cognitive processes before determining the learning strategies to be carried out.

Abstract

The 21st century is an era in which education determines the future of society. The relevant theoretical research on core literacy is mainly carried out around students, and the research on the core literacy of pre-service mathematics teachers in ethnic areas has not yet begun. By consulting literature and existing mature questionnaires, combined with pre-service mathematics teachers' characteristics in ethnic areas, a "core literacy scale of pre-service mathematics teachers in ethnic areas" was compiled. Taking 412 pre-service mathematics teachers in Guangxi, China as the research object, using SPSS22.0 and AMOS24.0 to carry out project analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis on the data, the scale was revised accordingly, and the formal scale contains knowledge There are 3 dimensions of, ability, character, and the corresponding 9 factors. The scale compiled has good reliability and validity. It can be used as an effective tool to measure the core literacy of pre-service mathematics teachers in ethnic areas, and it also provides a basis for in-depth research on the current situation and strategies of training the core literacy of pre-service mathematics teachers in ethnic areas.

Abstract

Fluid structure interaction is a nonlinear multi physics phenomenon that have wide range of applications in science and engineering fields. This article presents the development of numerical methods to solve the fluid structure interaction problem deals with the vibration analysis of plate structures in contact with fluid. The modeling of fluid and structure are essential to study the fluid structure interaction problems. The development of suitable mathematical models and their validation are discussed herewith.

Abstract

The Theory of Meaningful Learning shows that: to achieve the best learning effect, new knowledge should establish a non-arbitrary and substantial relationship with the existing knowledge in the learner’s cognitive structure, and the focus of the construction of the learning process is to combine the relationship between learning and teaching factors. Therefore, through the description of the application process of "Mathematics Induction", this article draws practical reflection: the process of mathematics learning requires learners to pay attention to real experience, independent thinking, and learning reflection, which inspires teachers to pay attention to in teaching: through creating appropriate problem situation and using appropriate teaching resources, they should pay attention to the time sequence of teaching, and guide students appropriately to take the initiative in discovering learning. In this process, students are guided to actively sort out, integrate and apply knowledge. Through a reasonable learning process experience, students can construct knowledge structure in an orderly manner, improve the quality of thinking, improve the ability to analyze and solve problems, and realize the pedagogical significance of subject teaching.
