Abstract

Islamic boarding schools in Sidogiri Pasuruan or abbreviated as PPS, in terms of the number of santri Islamic boarding schools in Sidogiri Currently there are 10,000 students, for the total number of new students in the last 10 years there are 14,560 above which is very increasing, if in the last 10 there are 1,456 santri per year. Based on the results of the data analysis and analysis of the development of the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan Regency, the development of main facilities in the form of residential or santri dormitories and supporting facilities is currently needed, so that the development of the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School is very much needed by applying the concept of Maiyyah (togetherness) infrastructure quality and Islamic in supporting the smooth running of all activities of the santri.

Abstract

A mangrove forest is an ecosystem that mostly supports life in coastal areas. Its existence is very important because a mangrove forest has a great potential to support the economy, local societies, and environments. Far from the heart of town, there is a region that preserves the biological diversity that is located in Pantai Timur Surabaya in the form of a mangrove forest conservation site. One such example is “Wisata Anyar Mangrove” that was proposed to be the first Mangrove Great Park in Indonesia by the Surabayan Government. Nowadays, sadly we can see that its condition is miserable. Therefore reordering of the “Wisata Anyar Mangrove” to maintain it is a must to mend and improve the “Wisata Anyar Mangrove” area, considering the region will be developed into Mangrove Great Park as an continuous mangrove forest conservation endeavor.

Abstract

Batu City, where most of its residents are farmers, vegetables and fruits are abundant but have not been managed optimally. The market in Kota Batu is still not feasible because the spatial arrangement has not been maximized and the supporting facilities are inadequate, with this study aimed at developing market design concepts namely "Market Space Optimization". The analytical method used in this study includes qualitative descriptive analysis, physical and non-physical analysis. And hopefully the concept of "Market Space Optimization" is expected to overcome all the previous mistakes. So that the Pasar Rakyat Kota Batu can be a place of trade for residents of Batu City and to increase the economic value of Batu City.

Abstract

Pasuruan port still mixed between loading and unloading activities, landing fishing activities, transportation, and the settlements. This condition effect on the function of the main port in general. However, through the development of the role and its function in the future, Pasuruan port is a network sea transportation that has the potential to be multiplier effect accelerator for the economic growth of Pasuruan. In the past, Pasuruan was also known as a Bandar Kuno city, which has vital trade infrastructure support in the form of a quite crowded which serves as the commerce causing the activity of the economic sector upstream until downstream helped move dynamically. Pasuruan port in the last 10 years has experienced a significant decline in terms of functions and activities, due to the lack of facilities support the current port activities. Therefore, the need to revitalize the Pasuruan port is expected to restore the glory of Pasuruan port.

Abstract

The potential of fish resources in Gresik district which is abundant at this time, has not been managed optimally. The existence of the processing business of milkfish farmers is still limited, in small industries to meet the needs of the local market, fisheries centers located in Ujung Pangkah Subdistrict are also considered to be inadequate by only having a container of Fish Auction Places (TPI) which is still lacking. It is hoped that the redesign of the TPI Building and Public Spaces in Ujung Pangkah Subdistrict will be able to accommodate the harvest of fish farmers and also provide public space facilities that can be utilized in Ujung Pangkah Subdistrict, Gresik Regency. contribute to the economic progress of the surrounding region. The Fish Auction Building in Ujung Pangkah Subdistrict was designed according to the food industry standards that pay attention to the level of cleanliness, safety and pollution of waste produced from fish that will be sold by fishermen. These standards serve to ensure the safety of product results from contamination. So that later the production can have a high selling price value and is safe for consumption.

Abstract

Carbon emission is one of the global problems that many vehicles generate. This is because humans rely on vehicles as a means of facilitating mobility to their destination. One of the most widely used vehicles is the bus vehicle. Terminal Purabaya is a type A bus terminal located in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, which is very busy. This makes the terminal a significant contributor to carbon emissions due to the high number of vehicles entering and exiting the area. There are various methods that can be employed to reduce carbon emissions, one of which is the most natural approach, utilizing vegetation with the best carbon absorption capacity to decrease the carbon content in the surrounding air. Therefore, the selection of suitable vegetation to reduce carbon emissions at Terminal Purabaya is carried out through data analysis of total carbon emissions and the carbon sequestration capacity of trees. The results will provide the most effective vegetation for carbon reduction at Terminal Purabaya, allowing for appropriate arrangements to be made to mitigate carbon emissions at this terminal.

Abstract

The development of Dewadaru Karimunjawa airport in Jepara Regency is carried out to accommodate all movements of air transportation modes in the next 20 years. This is in response to the increasing number of tourists heading to Karimunjawa Island, where Karimunjawa Island is an archipelago tourist attraction that is included in the Karimunjawa National Park area. The development in question is to respond to the condition of Dewadaru Airport based on spatial capacity and tamping capacity, which is still far from the feasibility of the role, function of use, hierarchy and classification of the airport nor does it display regional characteristics / identity as well as green airport.

Abstract

Facilities that support the talents or interests of the community, especially bicycle racing in East Java, are still inadequate. With this facility, it is hoped that it will be able to accommodate sports activities and national and international competitions. Sports facilities are expected to be able to provide achievements in East Java, especially Surabaya, and accommodate talents or interest from people who want to develop and achieve in the field of bicycle racing. The Velodrome itself has a function as an arena for bicycle racing competitions. It is hoped that athletes with international facilities will be able to excel in the championships that are held.

Abstract

Lumajang city has six hospitals that can be used by the people, but has a very far distance from residential areas around Mount Semeru, especially in the relocation area for survivors of the Mount Semeru eruption. The design of a type C hospital in the relocation area of Mount Semeru eruption survivors is a manifestation of disaster risk management through programs and policies to minimize the impact of disasters. The method of discussion is a descriptive qualitative with the literature studies as the main sources. The design process used leads to a repeated continuously process. Design using biophilic architecture is a design that provides an opportunity for people to live in a healthy environment, a place that can reduce stress by integrating natural elements into the design. This is according to the patient’s condition who requires elements of environment that can accelerate recovery. Biophilic architectural approaches that can support the patient's healing process, such as providing a garden as the main orientation, green walls, skylight, and static rooms with balconies come with colorful plants such as bougenville, rose, and hibiscus that are pleasing to the eye.

Abstract

Road construction for the southern route is a road network to connect several cities in the Java Island. This southern route have the possibility of an accident. Generally, accidents occur due to unroadworthy’s vehicles and the tired drivers. Therefore, in order to reduce the rate of accidents on the southern route, the government is required to provide rest areas for road users. Rest Area is a place and facilities provided for road users so that both drivers, passengers and their vehicles can rest temporarily. Unfortunately, there is no Rest Area along the southern route of Pacitan Regency. Meanwhile, the distance from one city to another is quite far, so a Rest Area is needed so that road users and their vehicles can rest for a while. The planning for this rest area is using Neo-Vernacular Architecture theme, to raise the local traditional characteristics of the Pacitan district, which are adapted to modern developments. That way it will create a uniqueness in the building that can attract visitors from various walks of life.
