Abstract

RestaurantX is a fast food restaurant that emphasizes quality to obtain customer satisfaction. The process of fulfillment of consumer satisfaction, not only requires a quality product or service, but also requires a supportive service system. This study aims to analyze customer satisfaction ofRestaurantX service. The method used is Service Quality. This method measures the quality of service and be used to analyze the cause of a service problem. Dimensions used in this research are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible. Data collection techniques were conducted by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The result of the research using regression technique shows that the variables affecting customer satisfaction on RestaurantX service are clean environment both at the inside and the outside, lighting condition inside restaurant, list menu neatly and visibly clear by consumers, food portions served, and employees provide prompt and timely service. The result of the research by using Service Quality method states that RestaurantX service of employee responsive to consumer requirement and employees ability to respond consumer demand quickly need to improve due to big gap between expectation and consumer perception

Abstract

Nowadays to gain a competitive advantage in an organization, knowledge becomes important as an asset that must be managed. The experience possessed by humans is tacit and sometimes difficult to extract into a procedure or standard that can be used in an organization. T University is a private university in Indonesia. At the University of T, there is a laboratory that serves as a provider of practical services for students, one of the laboratory is laboratory X. Laboratory X serves to provide an understanding in the Manufacturer process for mass production. Currently, this laboratory consists of 18 assistant labs and one laboratory staff. This laboratory has one Haas CNC Milling used in labwork activity. To keep the machine in optimum condition, good maintenance management of the facility is required especially preventive maintenance, these activities are conducted based on the experience of laboratory staff in handling Haas CNC Milling machine. The problems occur when the laboratory staff is entering the retirement period. Besides that until now there is no standard operation procedure (SOP) developed by the university about how to do preventive maintenance. This research aims to design preventive maintenance work instruction for CNC Milling Haas machine with SECI (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization) methods. Best practice in the form of a work instruction is obtained from the process of knowledge conversion from laboratory staff and head of laboratory. From the exploration result, it is known that preventive maintenance activities for Haas CNC Milling machine consist of spindle cleaning, checking tools, lubrication check and engine coolant, and run test. Brainstorming is done to confirm and select best practices created by both speakers. From the brainstorming result, it is known that the work instructions performed by the laboratory staff are selected by modifying some aspects of checking.

Abstract

Concerning with the enactment of the Regulation of the Governor of Bank Indonesia Number 11/2/PDG/ 2009 dated February 20, 2009 on the Management of Logistics of Bank Indonesia, particularly regarding the management of Bank Indonesia's goods, it is necessary to assume the Asset Management System of Bank Indonesia, called BISMA. BISMA is a Bank Indonesia Asset Management application that consists of interrelated modules for recording asset data, asset recognition, asset depreciation, asset optimization, and asset resolution development using information technology. Although the application of this application runs well but the purpose of this paper is to see its effectiveness by analyzing the application of BISMA both in terms of field conditions or literature studies and make improvements with SOP design. Where the performance of the SOP is raced on the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 6 of 2006, PMK RI No. 96 / PMK.06 / 2007, PMK RI No. 102 of 2009 and Regulation of the Director General of KN No 07 / KN / 2009.

Abstract

Rapid prototyping technology continues to grow and widely used in the field of human life. The ability to form various objects makes RP technology can go anywhere easily. This literature study aims to determine rapid prototyping technology developments from the beginning to the present and to see future developments. Literature is selected from journals discussing manufacturing technology, its origins, of methods used, of integration with other fields and of the application of RP technology. Scopus used as other data source to know the development of RP research from year to year. Through the analytical facilities available at Scopus, it can be used to know the areas of human life that entered this technology. RP technology is still evolving and integrating with other fields. In the future, this technology will be easily accessible and accessible to everyone.

Abstract

Risk management is a management effort to control risk the company's operational activities by conducting risk analysis, risk evaluation and its mitigation plan. Risk management efforts are feasible to be applied into the business activities of the company including the procurement activities. PT Masscom Graphy is a printing company that its main request is printing Suara Merdeka newspaper. Since June 2016, there has been a decrease in demand of 27,000 copies of Suara Merdeka newspapers which resulted in disruption of the company's cash flow. It responded by the company by applying a tight money policy on every company activity including procurement activities. Such policies increase the risks that may occur, so that risk management efforts are needed to minimize the impact that can occur. The House of Risk method is used to identify risk events and the risk agents that cause them, and to design mitigation actions to address those risk agents. The results showed that there were 13 risk events and 17 identified risk agents, with the priority risk agents to be addressed were A2 risks (no contracts formed with suppliers) and A14 (application of the same procurement strategy to each raw material). Recommended mitigation actions are (1) review of contract system, (2) differentiation of procurement strategy, (3) mapping of raw material characteristics, and (4) supplier performance evaluation.

Abstract

Order Picking activity has about 55% of warehouse operational cost. Because of that, a company XYZ, management views that warehouse activities which employs human energy need to be improved and be efficient. One of the strategies is to do order picking simultaneously for some customer orders, this way is common called Order Batching. The type of order batching is static and based on Earliest Due Date. The result of order batching implementation has an impact on reduction of travel distance about 31.8%.

Abstract

SClustering is a commonly system used by the distribution company. Some consumers who are in the same location but located in two different clusters as a result of a fixed and rigid area within cluster, resulting in longer delivery time and higher cost incurred to deliver the order. The purpose of this research is to determine the optimal vehicle route using three-phase method approachthat improve the clustering system. Complexity arising from the problem of this vehicle routing includes variant types of vehicles and variants of product types. The three-phase method includes a cluster-making phase with a maximum distance between consumers within 10 kilometers, a cluster adjustment phase, and a routing phase that determine shipping routes and calculate total distribution cost. Numerical examples shows that the cost of distributing goods can be minimized, from an average of IDR 1,064,408.33 to an average of IDR 775,586.46. Thus a three-phase method may improve the clustering system by reducing distribution time and cost.

Abstract

This study has the background of companies that place their workers only as input factors (assets) but do not place them as equal partners who need each other, related in be up against increasingly complex challenges and to develop the organization. Values and norms poorly governed and rarely well developed; therefore, organizations merely assign workers as the assets rather than as power resource. The research objective is to examine the factors that influence personal improvement and employment outcomes at PAA Company. The population utilized is all PAA company with a total of 273 employees with 152 respondents taken as samples. Data collection through the distribution of questionnaires which then processed and analyzed using multiple linear regression data analysis techniques with SPSS 20.00 for Windows. The result of the variables tested represents as follows: the meaning of work, responsibility, and awareness of work activities' outcome simultaneously has a significant effect on personal improvement and employment outcomes. The variable of the meaning of work & responsibility by partially does not have a significant influence. On the direct contrary, awareness of work activities' outcome partially has a significant influence on personal improvement and employment outcomes.

Abstract

Knowledge sharing is an asset for industrial organizations. These assets play a key role in global competition. Especially in increasing the innovation capacity of Small and Medium Industries (IKM). In this case innovation means introducing new products, making qualitative changes to existing products, introducing new processes in industrial organizations, creating new markets, and developing new sources of raw materials or other inputs. Much knowledge is stored in individuals, which is called tacit knowledge. Sharing tacit knowledge among individuals associated with industry organizations can increase the capacity of innovation previously explained. This study analyzes the relationship between sharing tacit knowledge and organizational innovation capabilities. Certain SMI employees located in Semarang, Central Java were the respondents for this study. Opinions as many as 45 members of each IKM have been analyzed using the hypothesis testing method. Through this research, it is shown that the level of sharing of tacit knowledge influences IKM's innovation ability.

Abstract

PT. SKI is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of hair and skin beauty products such as hair masks, shampoos, conditioners and others. Demand for beauty products that are increasing every day requires companies to produce more than inventory. One solution is to expand the production area in an increase large-scale production processes. However, the current production area which cannot optimally support this due to the absence of vacant land or expansion of the area that can be carried out. Based on the results of interviews with the head of the production section, the plan to move locations in several alternative places is the right solution for the company. In the specific task studied, the need for this location transfer will be related to multiple decision making taken by the company. One technique to identify these problems is using the Analytical Hierarchy Process or AHP method where this method is a simplification of complex problems that are not structured, strategic, and dynamic into their parts, and organize in a hierarchy. The level of importance of each criterion that supports decision support is relatively compared to other criteria by considering various considerations and then synthesizing to determine criteria that have high priority and play a role in influencing the results of the system. Based on the results, it is found that there are several criteria which plays an important role in the selection of factory location alternatives obtained in the mathematical equation. The first criterion namely Investment and Operations has a value of around 55.84% indicating that the first best alternative location in the sub criteria is land price, land area, expansion and employee salaries (UMR). Continued around 58.47% in the second general criteria, namely facilities with sub criteria of water, electricity, transportation and service which showed the best selection was in the first location alternative and 73.51% in the criteria for ease of licensing and transportation access at the first alternative location. By comparing the three data multiplication matrices and assessment criteria, it was found that a large comparison of the three general criteria had a total of 60.91% of the first alternatives being the priority of PT. SKI to choose the location of the new factory area, which is located in Padurenan, Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java.
