Abstract

Automated vehicle license plate identification, critical in modern transportation systems, finds application in traffic monitoring, law enforcement, and transportation optimization. This study explores machine learning's potential to enhance accuracy and efficiency in this domain. Leveraging neural networks and pattern recognition, it aims to build an automated system robust across diverse conditions. Addressing limitations in traditional methods, it focuses on adapting to lighting, angles, and image quality variations. The societal impact includes streamlining law enforcement and optimizing traffic flow, revolutionizing transportation and surveillance. Methodologies cover data collection, ethical considerations, preprocessing, feature extraction, model selection, and iterative refinement. Ethical data handling ensures privacy compliance. Feature extraction methods like HOG, LBP, CNNs, and color histograms capture crucial aspects for identification. Model selection spans SVMs, CNNs, decision trees, and ensemble methods, considering task complexity and dataset characteristics. This study evaluates machine learning's potential for revolutionizing license plate identification systems.

Abstract

This study focuses on evaluating the quality of online services provided by Banyuasin Disdukcapil and its relationship with user satisfaction. Through a pilot investigation, the efficiency and performance of these services were meticulously examined, covering usability, response time, data accuracy, and information security. The study aimed to understand user perspectives and their satisfaction levels to establish correlations between service quality and user sentiment. Methodologically, nine research stages were executed, culminating in the development of a questionnaire based on the WebQual 4.0 method, exploring Usability Quality, Information Quality, Service Interaction Quality, and User Satisfaction. The validity and reliability tests ensured the credibility of the instruments used. The investigation revealed strong positive correlations across all studied aspects: Usability Quality demonstrated high correlations (r count) ranging from 0.703 to 0.785, emphasizing ease of use, clarity, and positive user experience. Information Quality and Service Interaction Quality showed correlations from 0.545 to 0.783, indicating reliability, accuracy, security, and ease of communication. User Satisfaction exhibited correlations between 0.604 and 0.741, highlighting factors influencing user contentment. Validity testing confirmed the suitability of all indicators without the need for removal, while reliability analysis (Cronbach's Alpha) established consistency across variables.

Abstract

Education's purpose at Vocational High School (SMK) PGRI 3 Palembang emphasizes holistic student development, encompassing religious, intellectual, and character aspects. With a significant student body, manual administrative processes hinder effective discipline enforcement and extracurricular management. To address these issues, a mobile-based student information system is proposed to expedite disciplinary actions, attendance tracking, and extracurricular selections. Employing the waterfall model, the study progresses through phases of system development, culminating in the design and testing of a robust system architecture. Utilizing UML diagrams, the system is outlined, featuring actors such as administrators, teachers, and the deputy principal. The client-server model, with a mobile app and web server, facilitates efficient data management and presentation. Black box testing confirmed the system's operational efficacy. This proposed system offers a comprehensive solution to streamline administrative tasks, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency at SMK PGRI 3 Palembang.
