Abstract

Hukurila waters have the potential to develop a macro type of algae Porphyra sp. The technique of casting a net that is used as an artificial substrate as a place for sticking spores is interesting to experiment with, which has always only utilized this Porphyra from nature during the eastern season. This activity aims to apply the technique of making artificial subsrats using nets in increasing Porphyra yields. The activity began with the planting of pieces of wood as long poles to tie the net. After the piles have been well embedded then, the net is then opened and tied at every angle from the net to the wooden pole using nylon rope. At the end of this activity, it was seen that there was an understanding of the use of nets as an artificial substrate for pasting Porphyra spores. This activity is very beneficial for the community in increasing the number of crops through the technique of making artificial substrates as a medium for sticking spores during the eastern season

Abstract

Wael and Kotania villages are one of the centers for seaweed production in the Kotania Bay waters in the West Seram Regency. Most of the women in Wael and Kotania hamlets, especially mothers, do not have permanent jobs other than taking care of the household. In addition, there is a lack of knowledge in seaweed processing technology. To empower women in the hamlets of Wael and Kotania, it is necessary to create productive activities by utilizing the potential of the village, both the potential of human resources and natural resources. The solution offered to women in the hamlets of Wael and Kotania through this IbM activity is the establishment of a business through the innovation of processing Eucheuma cottonii seaweed into noodles. Activity Objectives 1) Improving women's knowledge and skills about seaweed noodle processing technology. 2) Improving women's knowledge and skills about financial management and marketing strategies for seaweed noodle products. 3) Creating alternative livelihoods for women in coastal areas. Benefits of Activities 1) Empowering women in an effort to increase family income. 2) Realizing the tridharma of higher education through community service. 3) Build a seaweed noodle processing industry in rural areas on a home industrial scale. The addition of seaweed in the manufacture of noodles is expected to increase the consumption of more varied nutrition for the wider community and fulfill nutritional needs, especially micronutrients, one of which is iodine. Processing of seaweed into processed food products by women is expected to increase family income

Abstract

Nuruwe Village is one of the centers for producing seaweed in the Western Part of Seram Regency, but it is still limited in products diversifying based on seaweed. This activity aims to provide an understanding and increase the knowledge of the processors in the village of Nuruwe about various types of processed products derived from seaweed. The method of implementing community service activities is counseling and training. Submission of material on the benefits of seaweed and its extraction results as well as applications in the manufacture of food and non-food products. The result of the activity is that the processors are very enthusiastic about the extension activities and the products because they can be directly used and easy to produced

Abstract

Tial Country is one of the countries in Saluhutu District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province which has great fisheries potential because of its geographical location in the Coastal Area. Most people have a livelihood as fishermen. The target of this counseling activity is to increase the capacity of fishery households consisting of fishermen, fishermen's wives and family members who work in the fisheries sector. The counseling method is carried out by the method of lectures and discussions. The results of this counseling on increasing the capacity of fishermen show that the community understands the importance of maintaining and protecting the sustainability of fishery resources. The community must also participate in maintaining and maintaining the sustainability of fishery resources. The community feels an increase in knowledge and skills. This counseling is a suggestion that is very relevant to the condition of coastal areas and the available fishery resources

Abstract

Teluk Ambon dalam dengan tingkat pemanfaatan sumberdaya dan aktivitas kegiatan di laut yang tinggi mengakibatkan teluk Ambon banyak mendapat tekanan. Sumberdaya moluksa dan lamun merupakan sumberdaya yang ada di pesisir teluk Ambon. Isu mengenai polusi lautan oleh partikel mikroplastik telah membuka mata banyak orang tentang potensi bahaya yang mengincar biota laut dan manusia akibat pembuangan sampah plastik ke laut secara sembarangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan penyuluhan ini yaitu metode tahapan pendidikan, yaitu metode yang dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi melalui metode penyuluhan. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah Pengenalan sumberdaya moluska dan ekosistem lamun serta mengenal mikroplastik dan dampak bagi lingkungan pesisir
