Abstract

People today must be more resourceful to meet their necessities, particularly during a pandemic.  Today, the community needs both innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit because it is believed that by combining both qualities, it will be possible to overcome its current issues. Consequently, every person in society must cultivate their creative potential and spirit of entrepreneurship. The environment, in the restricted sense of each ward official and other communities' assistance, must support the development of both capacities.  It was discovered through observations and conversations with the partner environment's head that the community—mothers in particular—rarely received training that may foster their creativity. The same is true for entrepreneurial education. Following discussions between the Abdimas team, heads of partner environments, and other environmental officials, it was decided that the team could plan events that would foster creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit in the community, particularly among mothers. The exercise consisted of picture transfer training exercises with wood media. The PKM Community Services team selected this issue since it was simple to accomplish, the materials needed to be used as objects were readily available, and the team's time was not too much. The goal of the output from this community service project is to create wooden ornaments with transferred images and community service journals.

Abstract

There is potential for both organic and man-made forms of tourism in Cikolelet Village. There is a paucity of tourism information for potential visitors, and the promotion has not been executed to its full potential or integrated into a single website. Using digitization and websites, this action aims to advance tourism settlements. Assessment, mentorship, training, and supervision are the approaches used. The results show that the participants benefit greatly from the web and promotion design tutoring and assistance; this finding can be interpreted as evidence of monitoring through Cikolelet. The manager greatly needs the tourist information center because it provides tourists with information about tourist attractions. Outcomes of the organizational management training included an improvement in the caliber of Pokdarwis managers; prior to the training, no one had a clear idea of what they were responsible for, but following the session, everyone had a clear understanding of their role.

Abstract

Delving into the understanding of pluralism in Islam as well as the existence of creatures and the Essence of the Creator (Khaliq) within the context of contemporary Islamic philosophy is a crucial step. This is done by presenting perspectives from the Quran and Hadith, and identifying the thoughts of contemporary Islamic philosophers regarding the plurality of creatures and the unity of the Creator. Through the analysis of their works, we seek findings and perspectives that influence the contemporary Islamic understanding of the relationship between creatures and the Creator. Comparisons with traditional thoughts, including classical Islamic thinking, are important to comprehend the extent to which contemporary thinking has evolved from older Islamic intellectual traditions. This research is expected to contribute to understanding the role of philosophy in detailing the relationship between creatures and the Creator in contemporary Islam, enriching intellectual discourse, and providing profound insights into Islamic philosophical thought in confronting the complexities of our time.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan di Rumah Penyantun Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh guna meningkatkan potensi ekonomi. Tujuan pengabdian ini meliputi identifikasi potensi pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan, peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan penghuni rumah penyantun, identifikasi kendala dan hambatan, serta peningkatan kesejahteraan penghuni melalui pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan yang berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi survei dan analisis potensi lahan pekarangan, pelatihan dan penyuluhan, perencanaan dan implementasi kegiatan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa Rumah Penyantun Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh memiliki potensi besar dalam pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi, terutama melalui kegiatan pertanian, perkebunan, peternakan, dan usaha mikro dan kreatif. Pentingnya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan penghuni dalam mengelola lahan pekarangan juga menjadi fokus pembahasan. Kendala dan hambatan yang dihadapi dalam pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan mencakup kurangnya pengetahuan teknis, keterbatasan sumber daya, akses terbatas terhadap pasar, dan tantangan lingkungan. Dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan penghuni melalui pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan yang berkelanjutan dapat dicapai melalui pendekatan holistik, termasuk pengembangan keterampilan, peningkatan akses pasar, pembinaan keberlanjutan usaha, serta kolaborasi dengan masyarakat dan pihak terkait.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the process of improving students’ speaking skill, to explore and clarify a phenomenon in social reality, especially to know how the teacher improves students’ speaking skill through pattern drill technique. This research was done at SMK BPS&K II Bekasi using Class Action Research based on descriptive data to improve students’ speaking ability which was taken sample of 25 eleventh grade students using speaking tests, interviews, observation and documentations of students’ activities while research was running in the class. The research was done by four steps in every cycle; they were planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The research scored the students’ speaking ability through pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. Based on the Classroom Action Research done by the researcher, it has shown that the eleventh grade students of SMK BPS&K 2 Bekasi have made increase in speaking English. In cycle 1, the researcher got data from 25 students and the score was 1824 with average score 72, 96. At the cycle 2, their score increased be 1924 with average score 76, 88 and at the cycle 3, final presentation from 25 students have gotten score 2018 and the average score was 80, 72. The conclusion from the observation from Cycle 1 to Cycle 3 was that using Pattern Drill Technique proven improved students’ speaking English. The implementation of pattern drill technique used by the researcher was very appropriate for students at the eleventh grade, because they were more active to speak up in class. The repetition technique promoted students who were still difficult to arrange the sentences. The questions given to them stimulated their mind in mastering some vocabularies to speak up during speaking and learning activities. Their enthusiasms were high and they were confident to improve their speaking ability.

Abstract

The curriculum is an important component in the education system. The curriculum involved in education is the independent curriculum, along with the technique of creating teaching modules. The reason of our team are doing this mentoring activity is to help teachers in Belu Regency who do not yet understand the independent curriculum and how to make teaching materials based on it. The implementation method used includes preliminary study, socialization, and training. A method uses a preliminary study to find out the problems faced by partners. Next, the socialization method is carried out by the school principal and the School Curriculum Team, along with the Community Service team. The team also organize the creation of teaching module materials by explaining theories related to the independent curriculum and teaching modules based on the independent curriculum, using a training method. Through these three methods, the activities focused on spreading awareness about the independent curriculum and creating teaching modules. Based on the results of observations, teachers involved now understands the independent curriculum and technique of creating teaching modules based on an independent curriculum.
