Abstract

Abstract Background: Hypertensive patients must always adhere to a hypertensive diet. A person's compliance can be influenced by many factors, some of which will be examined in this study. Purpose: Find out more about factors related to hypertension dietary compliance. : Method: This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The nonprobability sampling technique uses an accidental sampling method so that 87 samples are obtained. This study used univariate, and bivariate analysis using chi-square and multivariate using logistic regression. Results: The chi-square test found that the level of knowledge had a p-value of 0.018, age had a p-value of 0.771, gender had a p-value of 0.992, level of education had a p-value of 0.023, work had a p-value of 0.688 and family social support had a p-value of 0.007. The most dominant factor associated with dietary adherence to hypertension was family support with a p-value of 0.031 on multiple logistic regression tests and OR = 3.004. Conclusion: Factors related to adherence to a hypertension diet in the working area of ​​the Batuceper Health Center, Tangerang City, are level of knowledge, education, and family social support, with the most dominant factor being family social support.

Abstract

Background: Tooth brushing behavior is the act of cleaning the oral cavity and teeth from food residue using a toothbrush. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017 explained that the largest incidence of dental and oral problems was dental caries in children 60% to 90%. Caries is a disease of hard tissue (email, dentin) caused by the activity of microorganisms in carbohydrates that cannot be broken down. The main factors causing tooth decay are the host (teeth and saliva), substrate (food), caries caries-causing microorganisms, and time. The habit of brushing your teeth properly is the most effective way to tooth decay. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between tooth-brushing behavior and the incidence of caries. Methode: This research method uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design and Data analysis using a total sampling method of 70 respondents at SDN Kampung Melayu 06 Tangerang in August and used Spearman rank correlation test analysis. Result: The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between dental behavior and the incidence of caries with a P-value of 0.000 r = 0.477.

Abstract

Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the third most common cause of death in the world. The prevalence of COPD in Banten Province is 6.3%. COPD patients experience inspiratory muscle weakness and muscle dysfunction that contribute to shortness of breath. One of the effective breathing exercises in handling shortness of breath is pursed lips breathing (PLB) which is a breathing exercise technique that involves breathing through the resistance caused by the narrowing of the lips can improve gas currency which can be seen by improving arterial oxygen saturation. Purpose: To identify the benefits of using pursed lip breathing in increasing oxygen saturation in cases of gas disturbances in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Method: The method used is to carry out nursing care for COPD patients with gas transaction disorder problems. Result: The results have been analyzed that giving pursed lip breathing exercises for 3 days with a time of ± 15 minutes can increase oxygen saturation in Mrs.L from SPO2: 94% to SPO2: 97% and in Mr.N from SPO2: 92% to SPO2: 95%.

Abstract

Background : Pneumonia is an infection or acute inflammation of the lung tissue caused by various microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, exposure to chemicals or physical damage to the lungs, which causes patients to complain of shortness of breath. Purpose: to determine the application of Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercise to Reducing the Degree of Dipsnea in patient with pneumonia at. Pakuhaji Regional General Hospital. Method : This study uses the case study method with soul research. perform nursing care for pneumonia patients with ineffective breathing patterns, namely dyspnea in pneumonia patients. The preparation care applies relaxation therapy, namely Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercise in accordance with evidence based practice in these two applications carried out for three days and three valuations. Result : the evaluated data obtained showed that there was a nursing problem with ineffective breathing patterns, so that nursing was implemented to improve the patient's breathing pattern, namely by using diaphragmatic breathing for 3 consecutive days with a duration of 10-15 minutes showing the result that giving diaphragmatic breathing had an effect on reducing degree of dyspnea in pneumonia patients, measuring the degree of dyspnea using the Modify Borg Dypsnea Scale (MBDS) measurement obtained the results of shortness of breath for both patients on the first day of scale 5 (severe dyspnea) to scale 2 (mild dyspnea) after 3 days of intervention. Conclusion: After the intervention was carried out on both patients, it was found that there was a decrease in the degree of dyspnea in pneumonia patients after being given the application of the Diapragmatic Breathing Exercise

Abstract

Background: Stroke is a clinical sign in the form of disruption of brain function, which can cause symptoms including balance disorders including muscle weakness, processes in thinking, the brain's ability to store memory, fluency of speech, to loss of body balance. Research results of the Ministry of Health in 2018, the prevalence of stroke patients in Indonesia has increased by 10.9%. Of stroke patients, 80% experience weakness on one side of their body, which results in a lack of muscle contractions due to the cessation of blood supply to the brain. The impact of weakness experienced by stroke patients can cause imbalances and disrupt the ability to carry out daily activities. Conducting an Activities Daily Living (ADL) assessment is one form of measuring independence or functional ability. Aims: The purpose of research is to determine the level of independence of stroke patients in carrying out daily activities. Method: This research uses a qualitative design with a case study approach; the process is carried out for 2 weeks, from April 6, 2023, to April 19, 2023. The presentation of data on these two respondents used the Katz index instrument. Results: The level of independence of Respondent 1 is included in category F, which is dependent on bathing, dressing, going to the restroom, and defecating / bath. In contrast, respondent 2 is included in class G, namely total dependence, where patients cannot eat, continent, move places, go to the restroom, bathe, and dress independently. Conclusion: The case study results obtained the level of independence of the two respondents with the category of Total dependence.

Abstract

Background: The future of a nation will be determined by its youth today. Because adolescents are its greatest asset. Adolescents encounter health issues at this developmental stage. Another important adolescent health problem is the lack of fulfillment of sleep quality in adolescents. One of the causes of poor sleep quality in adolescents is the excessive use of smartphones. Purpose: The aim of this study was to find out whether cell phone use and sleep quality among young adults are linked. Methods: This kind of study is cross-sectional comparative analytic research. 95 respondents were remembered for the purposive testing test utilized in the examination. The research instrument used in this study is the Smartphone Addiction questionnaire, which is a measuring instrument used to measure smartphone use using a measuring instrument that has been modified and tried out by Nurdiani's research (2015) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) which has been developed by Contreras et al., (2014). Results: The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a P Value of 0.002 less than the significant value (a=0.05). Conclusion: This study shows that smartphone use and sleep quality in adolescents are linked. Suggestion: it is hoped that adolescents can reduce excessive use of smartphones so as not to have a more severe impact, especially on sleep quality and it is hoped that adolescents can manage sleep time properly so that there is no decrease in sleep quality.
