Abstract

The method used in this research is classroom action research design. The primary objectives of this research are to describe the teaching and learning process on paragraph writing through peer-assessment, to establish the amount of influence over the improvement of students ability in paragraph writing. The instruments employed to gain the data are through paragraph writing tests and observation. The tests are given before and after giving the treatment of peer assessment to appraise their own performance; furthermore, the observation is conducted to observe the teaching and learning writing process in the classroom using continuous assessment. The subjects of the research are the students of English Department who are at the fourth semester and join the subject of Writing III at Cirebon STIBA INVADA. The results of the students’ paragraph writing are then analyzed on the basis of the paragraph elements and the scoring procedure according to analytic scale for rating composition proposed by Brown and Bailey. The data are analyzed qualitatively through identification and classification; additionally, they are interpreted using comparative analysis. The results of the research is that the students ability increase substantially after participating in peer assessment. The average score for all paragraph elements is improving; the average score in pretest is 36.41, meanwhile the employing of peer assessment has given rise to the score in post test by 64.35; on the whole, the students’ ability on paragraph writing increases by 43.42%. Thus the evidence seems to be strong that peer assessment can do significantly for students’ achievement in writing.

The problem in  this study is that  athletes always experience fatigue when competing in national events  , which is due to their poor physical condition.   The goal in this study was to evaluate the physical exercise program of coaching table tennis clubs. This research was conducted at a table tennis club in the city of Bengkulu.  This type of research is aqualitative research with the CIPP  method through a  qualitative approach. CIPP consists of four stages, namely: Context, Input, Process, Product. Data were obtained through observations, questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies.  This study uses a non-statistical qualitative analysis method, where the data reduction component, and data presentation are carried out in conjunction with the data collection process after being collected, the three components are analyzed (data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing) interact. The results of this study show that (1) The process of eligibility and qualification mechanisms for coaches and athletes of table tennis clubs in Bengkulu City includes PTM. Fortifications, PTM. Abstract

One of the important characteristics of an e-learning platform is that students can take the course at any time, and they are not required to complete all the available learning activities at one time. In moodle, data logs are valuable information that contains activities from course users and course teachers. The data recorded in the moodle data log can be in the form of activity data, assignment time (assignment timestamp), and ranking value or final grade (grade). Data log exploration of educational data mining can be used to facilitate monitoring and see what activities are often carried out by course participants on the moodle platform. One of the techniques used in data mining log data analysis is cluster analysis. Cluster analysis is the process of grouping data into groups whose members have similar characteristics. K-means Clustering is one of the algorithms of cluster analysis that is often used. Based on the output, it can be noted that the members of cluster 1 are students with ids 1,3,4,5, and 9. Then for cluster 2 is the student with id 2,8,10,12 which on cluster 2 the average student click is highest,. and the last cluster 3 is filled by students with ids 6, 7, and 11. It can be concluded that the second cluster is a collection of students who are active in accessing the LMS during learning.
