Abstract

This study was conducted to understand impulsive buying behaviour based on gender (male and female) during the pandemic. The study used a survey in the Greater Bandung area (Bandung City, Cimahiy City, Bandung Regency and West Bandung Regency) using quantitative methods and analysis of different tests. Judging from the overall results in the Levene's Test difference test, it proved that impulsive buying answered the hypothesis that assuming (equal variances assumed) there was no significant difference (0.606>0.005) between men and women in the pattern of impulsive buying behaviour during a pandemic. So the results of the study show that there is no difference between men and women in impulsive buying behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the level of knowledge and understanding of taxpayers about tax slogans "proud to pay taxes." The type of research is a descriptive qualitative method using a critical approach. The place chosen in this study was KPP Pratama Pamekasan. The results showed that (1) socialization by KPP Pratama Pamekasan was still lacking, so the community did not know and understand what he wanted in the slogan. (2) The slogan is still interpreted and is inappropriate. The taxpayer still considers the slogan to remind the awareness to pay taxes. Not yet at the stage of pride for taxpayers after paying taxes; (3) Great hope of the slogan that the community is more proud of the government can manage professionally and accountable tax revenues.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of consumer confidence and risk on e-commerce buying interest. The research method used a multiple linear regression test with the help of the SPSS program. This type of research was qualitative by interviewing random sampling students of Universitas Komputer Indonesia who are majoring in information systems. The variables of this study were the consumer's confidence (X1) and risk (X2), which are independent, as well as the purchase interest variable (Y) as the dependent variable. The results showed that risk and consumer confidence significantly influenced buying interest in E-Commerce. An e-commerce website needs to provide helpful information and the right strategy in building a consumer's trust. The company can also display innovations on its website so that buyers can easily understand the flow of payments and guarantee personal data security. Besides, companies also need to provide security and assurance to consumers while making transactions in e-commerce.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of risks that arise in village governance from the perspective of village officials. With village officials as the research analysis unit, about 62 village officials from developing villages, developed villages, and independent villages in Bandung Regency participated in this study. The researcher employs an instrument to measure respondents' perceptions of risk in several categories of risk impacts already taken in previous studies: financial, strategic, fraudulent, managerial, and technical related to the management of village government—five dimensions of the risk perception model in village governance. The conceptual framework builds the model. Two-stage confirmatory factor analysis tests the study. The results generally reveal that the managerial risk dimension is the risk with the most significant factor weighting compared to other risk dimensions. Thus, findings of risk, mainly managerial risk, may come from people, property, or processes involved in providing services that government organizations expect or need.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the independent variable Job Characteristics on the dependent variable Employee Performance by using the Employee Motivation variable as a mediating variable. The respondent is from employees in the manufacturing industry in Panbil Industrial Estate. The method used in this research is a survey method by distributing 250 questionnaires. There are 236 questionnaires from 250 questionnaires distributed to employees who have been filled in, and the collected data tested using the Smart PLS. The data test results identify that there is a significant relationship to all variables so that all hypotheses can also be accepted. This study also recommends that companies consider the job characteristics of employees more in order to increase employee motivation so that it can produce maximum employee performance and achieve company targets.

Abstract

This study aims to design an ecotourism development strategy and calculate its economic value. The research method used is a "mixed method" approach. The qualitative approach is obtained from in-depth interviews with parties involved in developing and managing the Tugurejo mangrove forest conservation, which is processed using the NVivo application. In contrast, the quantitative approach is processed using the analysis of the contingent assessment method (CVM) and willingness to pay (WTP). The study results show that the role and involvement of youth are crucial in the preservation of Ecotourism Areas. Conservation is needed in the sustainable development of Ecotourism Areas with the part and participation of youth. The average amount of WTP is Rp. 10.000.00. The economic value of income for one year is estimated to generate Rp revenue. 280,000,000.00 with a ticket of Rp. 5,000 (including parking).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to define customer preferences for housing, especially customers who belong to the Full Nest 1 group in a family’s life cycle. The subject examined in this study focuses on the interior design and architecture industry in Surabaya, East Java. As a result of COVID-19, there has been a massive impact on the development sector which affected these industries. This is because both industries relied on face-to-face interactions to function. However, after the application of new regulations as a response to the pandemic, several changes are to be made regarding client interaction and project management. The effect of large-scale social distancing has affected operations, and caused a shift in customer’s preferences. This study uses a quantitative approach, in which changes in customer preferences are obtained through interviews with relevant sources in order to narrow down prioritized factors. The data is then processed through factor analysis, and is distributed as a survey to 30 respondents representing the Surabaya region. The data collection process of this research is carried out with a ranking scale and processed using the Conjoint analysis to understand the current priorities of customers in response to the pandemic.

Abstract

In approximately March 2020, Institute Asia become viral through social media, television media, and many more. Besides, the number of new students surprisingly increase compared to last year, even though in this year, many private campuses have a decreasing amount of new students. That’s why the researcher tries to figure out whether viral marketing, social media marketing, and WOM have an effect on the new student make a decision on choosing the campus. This research method is using multiple linear regression, with the number of sampling is 155 respondents. The sampling technique was used is simple random sampling by google form. The results in this research showed that viral marketing, WOM, have a positive and significant effect on new student make a decision on choosing the campus. Besides, social media marketing has no significant effect on a decision on choosing a campus.

Abstract

This study aims to examine gender diversity, financial expertise, CEO duality on company performance in Indonesia. The author uses panel data testing with three years starting from 2018 - 2020 using STATA software. Panel data testing was carried out by conducting three tests: common effect model, fixed-effect model, and random effect model, including the model selection test, namely the Chow test, the Hausmann test, and the Breusch pagan LM test. The author also tested by conducting factor analysis with principal component analysis to carry out a linear transformation to change from most of the original variables used (ROA & ROE), and make them correlated into a new set of variables (firm performance). The results of this study conclude that the gender diversity variable has no effect on firm performance, but the variables of financial expertise and CEO duality affect firm performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the e-service quality in the online food business. The population of this study is GoFood application users in Indonesia who have visited, purchased, or used the services provided by the GoFood online food application at least once in six months aged over 17 years, totaling 354 respondents. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling. This research uses SEM-PLS. The results of this study are three dimensions of e-service quality, namely GoFood application design, customer security or privacy and fulfillment affect overall e-service quality. However, customer service is not significantly related to e-service quality as a whole. e-service quality as a whole is statistically significantly related to customer behavior. Future research should consider different methodologies for similar products, namely GrabFood and ShopeeFood.
