Abstract

The public's thirst for information is growing at a tremendous rate right now. One of the government's work projects to assist in the creation of an information society is the Community Information Group (KIM). The purpose of this program is to optimize the usefulness of information in daily life. The pattern of KIM diffusion, KIM's function in the dissemination process, and the locals' reaction to KIM in Gundih Village are the issues examined in this study. The present study employs a qualitative research design utilizing descriptive data gathering procedures, including observation, interviews, and documentation. Tallcot Parson's functional structural theory is the theory that makes sense of the things that take place in the Role of KIM in Information Dissemination review. Based on this survey, it can be said that WhatsApp, Instagram, blogs, YouTube channels, and blogs are the main social media platforms used for KIM propagation. Social media use is maximized to bridge the knowledge gap. The community and local Stakeholders benefit from KIM's role as a facilitator, mediator, and innovator in Gundih Village, despite the challenges posed by social media use. Residents of Gundih and local Stakeholders (RT/RW) responded well to KIM Gundih. The fact that the people of Gundih are ignorant of the responsibilities and operations of KIM in their community further contributes to the negative responses

Abstract

The problem examined in this study is about how the lives of fishermen's families in Palang village, Palang sub-district, Tuban district during the covid-19 pandemic. The family life of fishermen is a community whose majority the majority of their livelihoods as nelyan, they fulfill their daily needs by sailing at sea every day. In ad­di­tion, the fishermen's community has several aspects of life including social as­pects, social aspects can be seen from the relationships they run during the pandemic. Economic aspects, from the economic aspect, the income they get during this pandemic has decreased dramatically. Cultural aspects, From the cultural aspect, it can be seen from the way they carry out the existing culture during the pandemic. And the religious aspect, during the pandemic the religion of the fishermen still occurs and is carried out. From this study using qualitative research methods, using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used to analyze the Family Life of Fishermen in the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic In Palang Village, Palang Subdistrict, Tuban Regency, is the Social Action Theory-Max Weber.

Abstract

The Pacet Tourism Area is well known as a tourist spot that not only offers beautiful natural scenery, but also has plenty of delicious food as well as homestays and hotels suitable for a family vacation. However, some groups take advantage of this by shifting the function of homestays into prostitution activities. The problems that the researcher wants to study are, how the process of changing the function of homestays in tourist attractions used for prostitution practices in Padusan Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency, and how the Padusan community responds to prostitution activities in Padusan Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto East Java. This research uses qualitative research methods by describing community phenomena through interviews to several selected sources. This research uses Robert K. Merton's theory of deviant behavior (Anomie). That the condition of a society without norms, or a society with norms agreed upon by the whole community, but violated by some people so that it refers to the malfunction of the norm. The results of the study found that the process of changing the function of Homestay into prostitution practices in Padusan village has a driving factor, namely from internal and external so that the Padusan community is involved in it. The varied responses from the surrounding community include sympathy, anti-starch, and gray responses that have their own reasons underlying it all.

Abstract

This research originated from the researcher's interest in the sosial changes that have occurred or experienced by the Lapindo mudflow victims for 14 years, especially the Lapindo mud victims who live in the Porong sub-district, Sidoarjo regency. There have been many changes in the lives of the victims of the Lapindo mudflow during the 14 years after the disaster. Therefore, the problem studied is about how the forms of sosial changes are and what  faktors cause sosial changes experienced by the Lapindo mudflow victims for 14 years in Porong sub-district, Sidoarjo regency. This research was conducted in Porong sub-district Sidoarjo regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by collecting observation data, interviews and documentation. This phenomenon can be attributed using Agil Talcott Parsons's Theory. The findings of the research show that the victims of the Lapindo mudflow for 14 years after the Lapindo mud disaster experienced many changes in their lives. There are those who experience changes in customs, experience changes in their livelihoods or experience changes from the economic aspect, and of course a change in the mindset of the Lapindo mudflow victims.

Abstract

Currently facing the millennial era, all social interactions are packaged in one medium, one of which is social media networking. Social media is now a stage where people show themselves to gain recognition and popularity. The purpose of this study is to determine self-presentation behavior in using Instagram social media among millennials, supporting and inhibiting factors in self-presentation and strategies used when using Instagram social media. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and uses dramaturgy theory. Dramaturgy theory is a sociological perspective that focuses on management in everyday life and explores forms of social self, relationships, and social reality through the use of language and microanalytic interactions. The results of this study indicate the use of Self presentation in social media Instagram behavior is supported by the many features provided to build a self-image, then the supporting and inhibiting factors for expressing oneself on Instagram social media can be found on the person's profile page, and the self-presentation strategy is an attempt to deliberately form a certain impression or view with others to achieve a goal
