Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research thataim to describe the language style of opposition in Senja dan Pagi novels by Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia using a stylistic review. As research material, then listened in its entirety to the contents of Alffy Rev and Linka Angelia’s Senja dan Pagi Novels so as to find sentences that contain contradictory langue style in them. In analyzing the data, the researcher used an objective approach used in order to examine the style of language used by novel writers contained in the novel Senja dan Pagi by Alffy Rev And Linka Angelia found 65 data. Namely is the form of 30 data of hyperbole, 4 data of litotes,4 data of oxymoron, 4 data of sylepsis, 1 data of satire, 2 data of inuendo, 2 data of paradox, 13 data of climax, 1 data of anticlimax, 1 data of prosteron hysteron and 1 data of cynicism. Abstract

The problem that arises in this study is how the indirectness of the expression contained in the poem Distance Magrib by Muammar Qadafi Muhajir in Rifaterre's Semiotics study. The purpose of this study was to analyze the indirectness of expression in the poem Distance Magrib by Muammar Qadafi Muhajir. The theory used in this study is the semiotic theory developed by Michael Riffaterre. This type of research is library research using qualitative descriptive methods. The data in this research are in the form of words, phrases, sentences, lines, and lines that show the indirectness of expression in the poem Distance Maghrib by Muammar Qadafi Muhajir. The results of this study prove that the poetry of Distance Magrib has meaning and is indicated in the form of indirect expression in the form of meaning replacement, namely in the form of metaphorical figure of speech, simile figure of speech, personification figure of speech, and allegory figure of speech. There are deviations in meaning caused by the use of ambiguous sentences, contradictions, and nonsense, as well as the creation of meaning found in rhyme/sound forms, enjambement homologues, and typography that affect the text, so analysis is necessary. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the values ​​in the folklore of the Tolaki tribe "Pasa’eno". The method in this research is to use library research with a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the value analysis in the folklore of the Tolaki Pasa’eno Tribe, several values ​​were found contained in the folklore. Analysis of the values ​​found are religious values, moral values ​​and cultural values. The religious values ​​contained in the text are religious values ​​between fellow humans and their beliefs. Moral values ​​are divided into two, namely moral values ​​related to oneself, namely; hard work, honesty, courage and the value of patience. Moral values ​​related to fellow humans are mutual respect between fellow humans and good prejudice between fellow humans. The cultural value contained is the value of love. Abstract

The problem in this study is how the toponymy of tourist objects in Lohia District, Muna Regency. The purpose of this research is to describe the toponymy of tourist objects in Lohia District, Muna Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study are in the form of toponymy of tourist objects and the background of naming tourist objects in Lohia District, Muna Regency. The source of data in this study is derived from utterances given by traditional leaders in Lohia District, Muna Regency. The techniques in data collection are using interview techniques, note-taking techniques, and recording techniques. The result of this research is that the names of tourist attractions in Lohia District, Muna Regency, are motivated by three aspects of naming, namely 1) aspects of embodiment which include water settings, (floating caves, Meleura beach, Motonuno lake), earth surface settings or earth forms (Bumburu lake, Kantinu), natural environment settings (Bumburu lake), 2) aspects of community/community habits (Napabale beach), 3) cultural aspects (Mondawuhano Ndoke lake). Abstract

This study investigates literal and non-literal speech acts in rejection speech as well as the factors that influence these speech acts used by the public in cases of buying and selling that occur in the Kendari Jual Beli (KJB) Facebook group in Kendari City. The uniqueness of language in online buying and selling transactions in Kendari City is the basis for this research. When buyers and sellers carry out buying and selling transactions, there are various forms of rejection. Buyers use certain strategies to politely or subtly reject sellers' offers. In this way, misunderstandings can be avoided and a transaction agreement can be reached. Based on the research results, forms of rejection speech were found, namely literal and non-literal speech acts. Literal speech acts consist of direct and indirect literal speech acts. Non-literal speech acts are found in direct and indirect forms. Factors that influence the occurrence of rejection speech acts are the seller's slow response, the urgency of using the goods, the choice of payment method, mismatch with the description of the goods, the length of the goods delivery process, and weak controls in online buying and selling. Abstract

New Historicism is one of the studies that can be used to see historical facts in literary works. One of the literary works that contains historical facts in storytelling is the novel Kincir Waktu by Akmal Nasery Basral, so this research will discuss historical facts in the novel Kincir Waktu by Akmal Nasery Basral (New Historicism Study). This study aims to investigate the historical facts in the novel Kincir Waktu by Akmal Nasery Basral. This research will provide an overview of historical facts using the New Historicism theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which presents and decodes the data using words. The data in this study are in the form of text contained in Akmal Nasery Basral's novel Kincir Waktu which was gathered through several steps of reading and note-taking techniques to mark valuable parts in the narrative and dialogue of the characters. This analysis is used to find a picture of historical facts based on the study of New Historicism, namely sees literary works as social documentation that cannot be separated by politics, economics, and society. The results of this study show that the novel Kincir Waktu by Akmal Nasery Basral represents the May 1998 riots. In the novel there are historical facts consisting of three parts, namely ; (1) Sexual violence against Chinese women ; (2) Political interference in the 1998 humanitarian tragedy ; (3) Background to the May 1998 tragedy.
