Abstract

Youth center is a youth activity center in the form of a container or Aplace where teenagers can gather, socialize, and engage in arts, sports, education, and recreational activities. The lack of such facilities results in the low development of adolescents in the aspects of sports and arts. This can be the cause of juvenile delinquency due to the lack of control over youth leisure activities. Designing a youth center is needed to reduce the problem of juvenile delinquency, as well as to help develop the potential of teenagers in Padang city. This research aims to explore the design aspects and themes of the youth center building. This research uses a qualitative method by conducting a literature review and observation. The literature review was conducted to find out the types and typologies of youth center buildings as well as considerations related to youth center design requirements and standards. This design applies the architectural theme of wave metaphor to space, form, facade, color, and material, which illustrates the complexity of emotions and the journey of adolescent growth through the use of curved elements with various height variations.

Abstract

Soil stabilization is a common technique to improve the mechanical properties of the soil in term of increasing its strength and decreasing the associated settlement. The new sustainable materials have been emerged as alternative to the traditional binders such as the cement and the lime. These materials can be used in the shallow and deep soil mixing. This paper reviewed the mechanism of the soil stabilization, the traditional binder and the sever impacts on the environment, the new echo-friendly materials, deep soil mixing technique, and the geopolemerization. The results showed significant enhancement of the shear strength of the geopolymerized silt where the strength was increased by more than 6 times. This enhancement may be attributed to the developed geopolymer-jel NASH that filled the voids, surrounded and cemented the soil particles. Consequently, this matrix considered as a novel precursor for using in the soil injecting and grouting technique.

Abstract

Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning indicates that the preparation of spatial planning plans must cover land space, sea space and air space, including space inside the earth, arranged in stages and ultimately the spatial planning plan is determined with their respective regional regulations. The method used in the research is the survey method. The type of research used is quantitative and descriptive qualitative research. Meanwhile, the quantitative approach results from the public's perception that the results of existing research show a variety of public attitudes and views towards government policies, ranging from full support to dissatisfaction. Based on the spatial plan on the Jayapura City Cultivation Area Plan Map for 2023-2033, there are 7 (seven) namely Convertible Forest Land, Protected Area, Livestock Land Area, Fishery Area, Limited Production Forest Area and Food Crop Area, from the results of a survey conducted by author at the research location there have been changes in the Convertible Forest land area as a result of development activities and the reduction in land area in the Cultivation Area which initially had an area of 523,847 Ha, has been reduced to 523,790 or 0.01%, where housing has a larger area, namely 13,665 Ha. And land changes have also occurred in the Limited Production Forest Area, which initially had an area of 430,048 Ha, has undergone changes and been reduced to 121,027 Ha or 14%, this is because there is agricultural land with an area of 19,409 Ha in the Limited Production Forest Land area experiencing changes. which is quite big.

Abstract

Mixing temperature has an important role in the performance of the asphalt mixture that has been made. If the mixing temperature is too low and causes the viscosity value to be high, it will make it difficult to carry out asphalt mixing and was studied in the laboratory for two months which aims to determine the effect of mixing temperature variations on the value of marshall parameters and determine the effect of temperature variations on the performance of AC-WC asphalt pavement mixing. Characteristics of Temperature Variations in AC-BC asphalt mixtures for temperature variations of 140, 150 and 160, from the results of testing vim at a temperature of 160 with a value of 6.63 does not meet specifications, at a VFB value at a temperature of 160 does not meet specifications with a VFB value of 64.25, for the value of stablity, VMA, flow, MQ all meet specifications. so it can be concluded that the greater the temperature can make the asphalt mixture ineffective or the quality of the AC-BC asphalt decreases. The effect of temperature variation on AC-BC asphalt mixture is not optimal because the greater the temperature parameter can reduce the quality of AC-BC. The results of the proof of the marshal test of several temperature variations that do not meet the specifications make some marsall tests not pass specifications and density results that are not solid.

Abstract

Infrastructure development contributes to increasing the competitiveness of domestic products, employment energy absorption, and regional growth. Therefore, a strong, rigid and stable construction is needed. The use of materials for construction needs to be considered, especially commonly used materials such as concrete. This research aims to analyze the effect of variations in granite content as a partial substitution for coarse aggregate on the bond strength of BRA (Concrete Recycled Aggregate) concrete. Experimental methods were used in this research. The concrete mix design uses a variety of granite waste with a content of 0%; 15%; 30%; and 45%. The test object used was a concrete cube with a side length of 20 cm. The bond strength of the concrete is tested using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and a dial gauge. Based on research, the maximum bond strength value is obtained at a granite content of 30%. The addition of granite waste causes an increase in the bond strength value. The bond strength value of concrete when slip occurs is 0.25 mm at 0% granite content; 15%; 30%; and 45% each valued at 14.61 MPa; 15.44 MPa; 18.62 MPa; and 17.15 MPa. Concrete bond strength value at maximum load at 0% granite content; 15%; 30%; and 45% each valued at 22.42 MPa; 22.59 MPa; 24.01 MPa; and 23.12 MPa.
