Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh parameter injection time terhadap kualitas produk spion truk Mitsubishi PS 135 hasil injection molding; (2) parameter injection time yang menghasilkan produk dengan kualitas terbaik pada proses injection molding pada produk spion truk Mitsubishi PS 135 dengan plastik Polypropylene (PP) menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor 2013; (3) kesesuaian antara simulasi pada software Autodesk Inventor dengan aplikasi produksi di industri pada proses injection molding produk spion truk Mitsubishi PS 135 dengan material plastik Polypropylene (PP). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis kualitas produk spion truk Mitsubishi PS 135 hasil injection molding. Analisis produk dilakukan dengan simulasi menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor 2013. Parameter kerja injection molding yang digunakan adalah mold temperature 50°C, melt temperature 230ºC, maximum machine injection pressure 85 MPa, clamp open machine time 7 s, dengan memvariasikan parameter injection time yaitu 0,5s; 1 s; 1,5 s; 2 s; 2,5 s; 3 s; 3,5 s; 4 s; 4,5 s; 5 s; 5,5 s; 6 s; 6,5 s; 7 s; 7,5 s; 8 s; 8,5 s; 9 s; 9,5 s; 10 s. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini: (1) parameter injection time mempengaruhi kualitas produk spion truk Mitsubishi PS 135 pada proses injection molding; (2) hasil simulasi dengan software Autodesk Inventor menunjukkan bahwa parameter injection time terbaik untuk produk spion truk Mitsubishi PS 135 adalah pada rentang 2,5s S/d 6,5s; (3) hasil produk dari eksekusi menggunakan mesin injection molding di industri menunjukkan bahwa software Autodesk Inventor 2013 memiliki kesesuaian dengan aplikasi di industri dan dapat digunakan sebagai acuan untuk menentukan parameter kerja sebelum melakukan proses injeksi di mesin injection molding untuk memaksimalkan kualitas produk injection molding.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the fuel consumption  on a Honda Supra X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010 were affected by varying the amount of stainless steel plate and the installation of brown gas lines (before the carburetor and after the carburetor) on electrolyzer.This  study  is  an  experimental  study.  This  study  uses  a  3x2  factorial  experimental design. The method of data collection used in this study is the  measurement method.  The data analysis is a two-way analysis of variance.The results of this study are:  (1) There is the influence of variations the amount of stainless steel plate of electrolyzer to fuel consumption Supra-X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010, Fobservation  =  4.0316  >  Ftable=  3.89  at  the  5%  significance  level.   (2)  There  is  the  influence  of variations in the  brown gas line installation of electrolyzer to fuel consumption Supra-X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010, Fobservation  = 59.5505 > Ftable = 4.75 at the 5% significance level.  (3) There is an interaction between variation the amount of stainless steel plate and a variations in the  brown  gas  line  installation  of  electrolyzer  to  fuel  consumption  Honda  Supra-X  125R  CW motorcycle  in  2010,  Fobservation =  5.6266  >  Ftable=  3.89  at  the  5%  significance  level.   (4) Construction is ideal for use on Honda Supra X 125R CW motorcycle in 2010 is electrolyzer B with electrode construction totaling 8 stainless steel plate and installation of brown gas lines after carburetor  which  can  save  fuel  by  32  ml  /  8  miles  or  22.80%  of  the  fuel  consumption  of  the standard condition.

Abstract

The  purpose  of  this  research  is  to  know  the  effectiveness  of  inquiry  5e  learning cycle  model  based  on  ICT  on  learning  outcomes  and  students?  activity  in  teaching automotive chassis in class XII SMK Pancasila in 2012/2013 academic year. Related to the objective of the research, the research used experimental method. The  research  design  used  is  Quasi-  Experimental  Design  with  Pretest-  Posttest  and Control Group. The total number of population is 120 students coming from four classes. The  sampling  of  the  research  is  cluster  random  sampling.  From  the  population,  two classes/  clusters  were  taken  randomly  as  the  sample  so  there  are  two  classes  in  this research, experimental and control groups. Experimental group used inquiry 5e learning cycle model based on ICT, Control group used lecture model based on ICT. Technique  of the data collection consist of test and obsrvation letter.The data are analyzed by using t-test formula (t-test for independent sample). In this case, data which are analyzed are pre-test and post-test scores of the two groups. The result of t-test in  post-test computation shows that t observation (t0) is 3.73. Value tt with degree of freedom 48 of t table (tt) = 2.00. In this case, to = 3.73 is higher than tt = 2.00 (to  >   tt).  From  the  result,  there  are  significant  difference  learning  outcomes  between using inquiry 5e learning cycle model based on ICT and by using lecture based on ICT. Observation  result  from  observer  concluded,  there  are  significant  difference  on  the students? activity of chassis automotive between the students? taught by using inquiry 5e learning cycle model based on ICT and those taught by using lecture based on ICT. The experimental group show that students? activity better than control group.Based on the research finding above, it can be concluded that Inquiry 5e Learning Cycle  Model  Based  on  ICT  is  effective  to  learning  outcomes  and  students?  activity  in teaching automotive chassis in class XII SMK Pancasila in 2012/2013 academic year.

Abstract

The  objective  of  this  research  is  to  investigate  the  effectiveness  of  the  blended learning  application  (Classical  Learning,  E-Learning,  and  Field  Study)  in  the  Automotive Body course at the Study Program of Mechanical Engineering Education, the Department of Vocational  Technical  Education,  the  Faculty  of  Teacher  Training  and  Education,  Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta in Academic Year 2012/2013.  This research used the evaluative research method. It used the descriptive research strategy with the qualitative and quantitative data.  The  population  of  the  research  consisted  of  62  students  of  the  Study  Program  of Mechanical Engineering Education, the Department of Vocational Technical Education, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. Of the 62 students, 2 were from the class of 2008, 35 were from the class of 2009, and 25 were from the class of 2010  respectively. They were  all taking  the Automotive Body  course in Academic Year 2012/2013.  Based on the results of the research, conclusions are drawn that the blended learning is effective when implemented in the Automotive Body course as pointed out by the indicators of the learning in class (classical learning), the learning through e-learning, and  the learning  through  field  study  whose  effectiveness  is  high.  The  effectiveness  of  the  blended learning  is  also  shown  through  the  students?  learning  result  in  which  the  learning completeness is 100% with the average score of 81.59.

Abstract

Kualitas produk sangat menentukan tingkat keberhasilan suatu proses produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh parameter melt temperature dan nilai melt temperature yang menghasilkan produk dengan kualitas terbaik, serta kesesuaian antara software simulasi dengan aplikasi produksi di industri untuk desain parameter kerja melt temperature pada proses injection molding produk plastik Polypropylene (PP).            Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisis kualitas produk injection molding (Spion PS 135) menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor 2013, dengan memvariasikan parameter melt temperature. Beberapa variasi parameter melt temperature dieksekusi menggunakan mesin injection molding Haitian HTF 160X. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif.Data dan analisis hasil penelitian menunjukkan parameter melt temperature mempengaruhi total part weight, quality prediction, cacat shrinkage dan sink mark produk Spion PS 135. Quality prediction terbaik produk Spion PS 135 adalah pada parameter melt temperature 210s/d280°C, dengan kualitas terbaik pada nilai melt temperature 210°C dan 220°C. Analisis secara visual produk, menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor 2013, sesuai dengan hasil eksekusi menggunakan mesin injection molding.

Abstract

The purposes of the research were : (1) to do research  effect of gypsum on CO exhaust gas emission level of Yamaha MIO AT motorcycle 2010. (2) To do research  effect of rotation engine on CO exhaust gas emission level of Yamaha MIO AT motorcycle 2010. (3) To do research interactive effect installation gypsum and rotation engine on CO exhaust gas emission level of Yamaha MIO AT motorcycle 2010. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) There were effect installation gypsum on muffler on CO exhaust gas emission level of Yamaha MIO AT motorcycle 2010 and from the data presented indicate that the level emission of CO were lower than before using gypsum. (2) There were effect rotation engine on CO exhaust gas emission level of Yamaha MIO AT motorcycle 2010 and from the data presented indicate that the level emission of CO were lower when rotation engine 2500 rpm than rotation engine 1500 rpm and 3500 rpm. (3) There were interactive effect insatallation gypsum and rotation engine on CO and exhaust gas emission level of Yamaha MIO AT motorcycle 2010 and shows the level emission of CO more lower. (4) The lowest CO exhaust gas emission level of 5.57% volume was found by the use of gypsum II (thickly 10 mm) and with rotation engine 2500 rpm.Keywords : Gypsum, Rotation Engine, CO Exhaust Gas Emission

Abstract

The purpose  of this study  were (1)to  find out  how thereadiness of  vocational studentsin SMK Bhinneka Karya Surakarta competed in the world of work, (2)to find out what are the things  that  block  the  SMK  Bhinneka  Karya  Surakarta  in  preparing  students  to  be  able  tocompetein  the  world  of  work,  (3)tok  now  thee  fforts  that  made  the  SMK  Bhinneka  KaryaSurakarta  in  overcoming  these  barriers.  The  studyused  a  qualitative  approach  withdescriptive  methods  and  strategies  of  singlespikes.  The  source  data  consists  of  informants, places  andevents  as  well  as  documents  and  archives.  Data  collection  techniquesused  were interviews,  observation  and  document  analysis.  Sampling  techniqueused  was  purposivesnowball sampling. The validity of  the data used is the  triangulation  of  sources and  methods. Techniques  of data analysis  using  interactive  analysis model.  Based on this research, efforts to prepare Bhinneka  Karya vocational students to be able to compete in the world of work is through the implementation of the Teaching-Learning Process, industry practices, and skills certification  test.  But  in  practice,  the  SMK  Bhinneka  Karya  Surakarta  have  problems, namely: (a) Lack of Funds For Education Organization, (b) The lack of laboratory facilities in  the  Process  of  Education,  (c)  Lack  of  Responsibility  of  Teachers  Against  the  task  and obligation,  (d)  Difficult  to  Find  world  of  Business  and  Industry  Invited  to  cooperate.  The work done  SMKBhinnekaKaryaSurakarta  to overcome these obstacles are, (a) Enabling the Production  Unit,  (b)  Adding  Process  Support  Laboratory  for  Education,  (c)  Held  briefing and warning by the school, (d) Maximized the role of School Council.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: (1) To study about the using of copper wire electrolyzer effect to fuel consumption in Yamaha Mio 2010 Motorcycle, (2) examining the effect of solution variation to fuel consumption in Yamaha Mio 2010 Motorcycle Research has done in automotive repair shop of mechanical engineering, teacher training and education faculty, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta. The research uses Yamaha Mio 2010 motorcycle with engine serial number:  28D-2105099. Data analysis technique uses in this research is experiment method with descriptive data analysis. Data acquired by assessing fuel?s consumption level of motorcycle. From assessing results of fuel consumption level then presented in bar chart to analysis.Research results showing that: (1) Fuel consumption level of premium in Yamaha Mio 2010 motorcycle doesn?t use electrolyzer as 12,93 ml/minutes, (2) Fuel consumption level of premium in Yamaha Mio 2010 motorcycle using electrolyzer with NaHCO3 solution variation is 12,46 ml/minutes, there is a consumption level decreasing as 0,47 ml/minutes compared with premium fuel consumption level examining without electrolyzer, (3) Fuel consumption level of premium in Yamaha Mio 2010 motorcycle using electrolyzer with KOHsolution variation is 12,33 ml/minutes, there is a consumption level decreasing as 0,6 ml/minutes compared with premium fuel consumption level examining without electrolyzer, (4) Fuel consumption level of premium in Yamaha Mio 2010 motorcycle using electrolyzer with NaOHsolution variation is 11,66 ml/minutes, there is a consumption level decreasing as 1,27 ml/minutes compared with premium fuel consumption level examining without electrolyzer, (5) using of electrolyzer in motorcycle influencing the level of fuel consumption, in the other words, it occurring the process of fuel saving in motorcycle using electrolyzer.

Abstract

This  research  is  written  to  achieve  some  objectives  as  follows:  (1)  find  out  the alteration  of  ignition  timingtoward  torque  and  power  on  110  cc  Vega  R  motorcycle  year  of 2008. (2) find out the amount of torque and power  on 110 cc Vega R motorcycle year of 2008 after setting up the ignition timing.This  research  used  descriptive  quantitative  method.  The  sample  used  in  this  study  is 110 cc Vega R motorcycle year of 2008, engine numbered MH34D70028J737691. The data are obtainedfrom  the  amount  of  torque  and  power  by  using  premium  fuel  in  a  standard  ignition angle  (100BTDC/  Before  Top  Dead  Centre)  and  using  LPG  gas  fuel  performed  on  standard ignition angle (100BTDC), advanced ignition angle (130 BTDC) and backward ignition angle (70BTDC). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that: (1) There are differences in torque and power on 110 cc Vega R motorcycle Year of 2008 using LPG in a standard ignition angle (100BTDC), advanced ignition timing (130BTDC) and the ignition timing backdated (70BTDC).  (2)  The  torque  producedbythe  motorcycleusingLPG  gas  fuel  inadvancedignition timing(130BTDC)  is higherthan theothervariationsignition timing, that is 7.31 Nm at 6088 rpm engine speed. Torque dropped 1.34 Nm of the resulting torque by motorcycles using premium fuel  in  standard  ignition  timing  is  8.65  Nm  at  5337  rpm  engine  speed,  (3)  The  power  is produced  by  the  motorcycle  using  LPG  gas  fuel  in  advanced  ignition  timing  (130BTDC)  is higher than the other variations ignition timing, that is 6,9 HP in 7591 rpm engine speed.  The power  dropped  0.9  HP  of  the  resulting  power  by  motorcycles  using  premium  fuel  in  ignition time standard of 7.8 HP at 7344 rpm engine speed. (4) Time optimal ignition in 110 cc Vega R motorcycle Year of 2008 using LPG gas fuel is 130BTDC or advanced ignition timing. (5) The effective  engine  speed  of  110  cc  Vega  R  motorcycleyear  of  2008  that  used  LPG  gas  fuel  in advanced ignition timing is 6000 rpm up to 8000 rpm

Abstract

The purpose of this study are investigate effect of usage booster coil,  adding methanol in premium and interaction at  1500 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3500 rpm and 4500 rpm, to low CO and HC emissions on Yamaha Mio Sporty 2007. Component ware used for data analysis includes: ignition system (standard coil and installation booster coil), addition methanol (10% (M10), 20% (M20), 30% (M30) and 40% (M40)), variations of rotation engine speed (1500 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3500 rpm and 4500 rpm), and exhaust emissions (CO and HC). Based on the results of research at 1500 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3500 rpm, 4500 rpm, We can concluded that usage booster coil, addition methanol in premium and interaction can affect CO and HC emissions, so it tends to fall.
