Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: (1) the relationship between the achievement of  productive training to the success of the industry work practices in class XI student of SMK Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri, school year 2011/2012, (2) the relationship between students' interest towards the success of the industry work practices on students class XI SMK Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri, school year 2011/2012, and (3) the relationship between the achievement of productive training and interest of students to ward success in the industry work practices class XI student of SMK Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri, school year 2011/2012. The results of this study show that: (1) there is a positive correlation between the achievement of  productive training with the success of implementing productive training practice in  the industry working class XI student of SMK Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri accept able based on the product  moment correlation  test interest in learning the value of a variable for 0.67 1is positive with 0.000 more significance smaller than 0.05, (2) there is a positive relationship between the interest of the students to implement successful practicesin the industry working class XI student of SMK Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri accept able based on the product moment correlation of  test results with the value of the Variable value productive training for 0.439 is positive with 0.000 more significance smaller than 0.05, and (3) there is a positive relationship between interest in learning the value of its currencyto the value of productive training prakerin class XI student of SMK Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri based on multiple linear regression coefficient of less than 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is are to determine the influence of membrane valve springs length Air Induction System (AIS) to the exhaust gas emissions CO, HC and CO2 on Yamaha Byson motorcycle 2010. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Automotive Mechanical Engineering Education Program, JPTK, FKIP, UNS Surakarta to the address on the road Ahmad Yani no. 200 Kartasura. Test of CO, HC and CO2 exhaust gas emissions was used a gas analyzer STARGAS 898 type. This research was used experimental methods. The population  in this research were a motorcycle Yamaha Byson in 2010 and sample in this research was a motorcycle Yamaha Byson in 2010 with 45P010961 engine number. Techniques of data analysis in this research using descriptive data analysis. Based on this research can be conclude: (1) The results gas emissions levels, the shorter the AIS membrane valve springs are used, the higher the resulting CO. (2) The results HC exhaust emissions levels, the shorter the AIS membrane valve springs are used, the lower the resulting HC. (3) The result levels of CO2 emissions, the shorter the AIS membrane valve springs are used , the lower the CO2 produced. Of the all emissions in this test, the all still under standard exhaust emissions limits released by the ministry of the environment number 05 in 2010.

Abstract

Purposes of the research are: (1) to know effect of distilled-water use as an absorptive media on NOx emission of exhaust gas of motorcycle Honda Supra X 125 2012, and (2) to know effect of distilled water surface height on absorption of NOx emission of exhaust gas of  motorcycle Honda Supra X 125 2012. The research was an experimental method. Data analysis of the research was descriptive comparative analysis. Descriptive research method aims to describe and to interpret existing data attempting to seek problem solving through causal relationship, namely to examine particular factors related to investigated-situation or phenomenon and to compare one factor to another (Surakhmad, 1998: 139, 143). Results of the research conclude that: (1) there has been a decrease of NOx after the use of distilled water as an absorptive media of exhaust gas. Emission level of NOx without distilled water is greater than that of with distilled water. Mean difference between NOx­ emission without distilled water and one with distilled water at water surface height of 200 mm is 1.65 ppm. While, mean difference of NOx emission with water surface of 200 mm and that of 400 mm is 0.42 ppm. Further, for water surface height of 400 mm and 600 mm, the mean difference is 0.44 ppm; (2) there is effect of water surface height on power of absorbing NOx emission of exhaust gas. The higher distilled water surface height, the longer period of time the exhaust gas contact with water so that water-soluble NOx emission level is greater also. For water surface height of 400 mm, mean emission of NOx is 11.00 ppm and for water surface height of 600 mm, mean NOx emission is 10.56 ppm.

Abstract

Corrosion is defined as the destruction or deterioration of a material because of reaction with its environment. Corrosion can be fast or slow because effect of solution pH. Corrosion rate can be reduced by paint coating. The purpose of this research were: (1) To investigated the effect of NaCl solution pH with 200 ppm Ascorbic Acid inhibitor to low carbon steel corrosion rate. (2) To investigated the effect of epoxy paint coating to low carbon steel corrosion rate. (3) To investigated the effect of NaCl solution pH with 200 ppm Ascorbic Acid inhibitor and epoxy paint coating to low carbon steel corrosion rate. This research used experimental method. The population which used low carbon steel plate with a length 5 m size 3 x 40 mm, while the sample made with size 3 x 20 x 30 mm. Data was discovered by measured weight loss of low carbon steel with epoxy paint coating and without coating after submerison in NaCl solution with 200 ppm Ascorbic Acid inhibitor at pH value 6, 7, and 8 during 240 hours. Weight loss score was entered to formula for calculate the corrosion rate. Data which discovered from experiment result was entered to the table, and was showed in graphics and then was analyticted by description analysis. Based on this research can be concluded: (1) NaCl solution pH with 200 ppm Ascorbic Acid inhibitor cause low carbon steel corrosion rate be different. Low carbon steel in NaCl solution with pH 7 or neutral has the lowest corrosion rate, while in pH 6 of acidic although pH 8 or alkaline corrosion rate becomes higher. (2) Epoxy paint coating causes the corrosion rate of low carbon steel in NaCl solution with 200 ppm Ascorbic Acid inhibitor is lower than without coating. (3) Epoxy paint coating on low carbon steel causes corrosion rate was the lowest in NaCl solution with 200 ppm Ascorbic Acid inhibitor which has a pH value of 7 or neutral, while the conditions are acidic or alkaline solution the corrosion rate becomes higher.

Abstract

The purpose of this research: (1) To investigate the rate of increase in battery temperature during charging using battery charger and weight reduction in Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type before giving Vitta-Q battery vitamin. (2) To investigate the rate of increase in battery temperature during charging using battery charger and weight reduction in Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type after giving Vitta-Q battery vitamin. Based on this research can be concluded: (1) The measurement on Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type before giving Vitta-Q battery vitamin during charging using battery charger resulted the temperature 49 oC and weight of electrolyte 209.5 gr in 230.0 gr electrolytes. (2) The measurement on Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type after giving 2 ml of Vitta - Q battery vitamin per cell during charging using battery charger resulted the lowest temperature 40.3 oC and weight of electrolyte 216.4 gr in 230.0 gr electrolytes. (3) The measurement on Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type after giving 3.5 ml of Vitta - Q battery vitamin per cell during charging using battery charger resulted the highest temperature 49.8 oC and weight of electrolyte 208.1 gr in 230.0 gr electrolytes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to investigate: (1)The effect of using fixed and swirl electric turbo to exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle. (2) The effect of using modified of air filter to exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle. (3) The effect of using electric turbo and modified of air filter to exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle. (4) The lowest exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle. The method which used in this research was experimental method. The population  in this research were Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle and sample was Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle with JB91E1802814 engine number. Techniques of data analysis used descriptive data analysis. Based on this researchcan be concluded: (1) In standard condition, the emissions gas level of CO was 2.530% and the emissions gas level of HC was 1169 ppm. In the using of fixed electric turbo, the emissions gas level of CO was 2.199% and the emissions gas level of HC was 1093.33 ppm. So the reduced of the emissions gas level of CO was 0.331% and the emissions gas level of HC was 75.67 ppm. While in the using of swirl electric turbo, the emissions gas level of CO was 1.870% and the emissions gas level of HC was 823.33 ppm. So the reduced of the emissions gas level of CO was 0.66% and the emissions gas level of HC was 245.67 ppm. (2) In the using of modified air filter, the emissions gas level of CO was 1.472% and the emissions gas level of HC was 602 ppm. So the reduced of the emissions gas level of CO was 1.058% and the emissions gas level of HC was 602 ppm. (3) In the using of fixed electric turbo and modified of air filter, the emissions gas level of CO was 1.403% and the emissions gas level of HC was 403.33 ppm. So the reduced of the emissions gas level of CO was 1.127% and the emissions gas level of HC was 765.67 ppm. While in the using of swirl electric turbo and modified of air filter, the emissions gas level of CO was 0.946% and the emissions gas level of HC was 374.33 ppm. So the reduced of the emissions gas level of CO was 1.584% and the emissions gas level of HC was 794.67 ppm. (4) The lowest exhaust gas emissions level of CO and HC on Honda Supra X 125 2009 motorcycle at the using of swirl electric turbo and modified of air filter.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is : Investigate influence of use of dual spark plugs against the engine power produced Yamaha motorcycle Jupiter z in 2009, Investigate influence of use of dual CDI against the engine power produced Yamaha motorcycle Jupiter z in 2009, Investigate influence of use of dual spark plugs and dual CDI against the engine power produced Yamaha motorcycle Jupiter z in 2009. Research used experimental methods and techniques of data analysis using analysis descriptive, the results of experiments observed directly then concluded and determine the result of research. Population in research using Yamaha motorcycle Jupiter Z in 2009. The sample in this research is a motorcycle Yamaha Jupiter Z in 2009 with engine number 30C653165 and chassis number F8034661I. Based on the results of the research can be summed up : using dual spark plugs can increased engine power and improve the quality of combustion, brake horse power increased according to the increase according engine round enhancement. Engine round enhancement after the maximum power is reached make power decreases, using single spark plug with dual CDI increased the maximum brake horse power 5.400 HP. Brake horse power enhancement occurring 0.574 HP or approximately 11.89 %, using dual spark plugs with single CDI increased the maximum brake horse power 5.767 HP. Brake horse power enhancement occurring 0.941 HP or approximately 19.50 %,  using dual spark plugs with dual CDI increased the maximum brake horse power 5.649 HP. Brake horse power enhancement occurring 0.823 HP or approximately 17.05 %,  using dual CDI can increased the maximum engine round, using dual CDI less efficient, multiply the CDI is feared could make shorting the wiring and not necessarily ignition curve between both alike.

Abstract

The purpose of the study as to identify the effectiveness of Micro Teaching Course Readiness Program Field Experience Student PTM class of 2010 , Sebelas Maret University. This study includes qualitative and quantitative research . The research used descriptive method. The population which used PTM students who have exhausted Micro Teaching Course and Field Experience Program . Samples were taken with a proportional random sampling technique , that is PTM student class of 2010 . The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and interviews . Trials conducted a questionnaire to 25 students PTM class of 2009 . Test the validity of the data using product moment correlation test and reliability test using alpha formula . The technique of data analysis in this research is using descriptive analysis. The results of the research indicate that: (1) Mental readiness is in high category, this case showed in the indicator of self confidences with a percentage of 45.45%, optimism with 45.45%,  responsibility with 52.27%, and realistic with 68.18%. That?s all makes in high category. (2) Emotional readiness is in low category, this is shown on the scared and angry category, which each obtain a percentage of 45.45%, fault with 50.00%, and  love with 63.64% of which are entered in the low and high category. (3) Motives readiness categorized as high, as shown by the indicator purpose percentage gain of 40.91%, encouragement  with 36.36%, and 38.64% for the conditioning of which are entered in the high category. (4) Readiness of knowledge included in the category with the acquisition of a high percentage of 63.64%. (5) Skills Readiness  in general including the high category, such as indicators of basic literacy skills in middle category with a percentage of 47.73%, technical skills are also in the category with a percentage of 38.64%. While interpersonal skills and solve problems including the high category, respectively get the acquisition percentage of 50.00% and 52.27%. The conclusions of this research are the effectiveness of Micro Teaching Lectures to readiness Field Experience Program includes aspects of mental readiness, emotional, motives, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of layers number towardflame resistance ofripoxy R-802 EX 800 gr/m2 woven roving e glass fiber glass composite. The flame resistance characteristic studied were the ignition time and the burn rate of ripoxy R-802 EX800gr/m2 woven roving e glass fiber glass composite with the number of fiber glass layers variation (up to 5 layers).The method which used  in this research was experimental method. The research was done at Engineering Materials Laboratory, Mechanical Engineering Department, Engineering Faculty, of Sebelas Maret UniversitySurakarta which located at Jalan Ir. Sutami No.36 A Surakarta. The equipment which used to study composite burning resistant was burn tester based on ASTM D-635. The specimens in this research was ripoxy R-802 EX800gr/m2 woven roving e glass fiber glass composite. Burning test was done based on ASTM D-635 standard (horizontal burning test). The data analysis which used in this research was descriptive analysis method.Based on experimental result can be concluded: (1) The effect of fiber glass layers number indicated more fiber glass layers number caused increasing of ingnition time and decreasing burn rate at composite. It was indicated that more fiber glass layers number will decreased composite burn rate. (2) 5 woven roving 800gr/m2 fiber glass layers caused this composite inflammable and the best variation of spessimen, because the fire extinguished before recommended distance based on ASTM D-635UL 94.

Abstract

The purposes of this research: (1) To investigate the effect of using vitta-Q battery to load teston lead acid battery12V 5Ah liquid vented type. (2) To investigate the voltage of load test lead acid battery12V 5Ah liquid vented type after using vitta-q battery vitamin. Based on the research result, it can be concluded: (1) The measurement result after using vitta-Q battery vitamin on lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type by using digital load tester provides the highest load test of 2 ml vitta-Q battery vitamin per cell is 8.2 V and it stays indicator parameter of 6.5V?9.6 V, that showing the battery is in good condition and needs for a recharge. (2) The measurement result after using of vitta-Q battery vitamin on lead acid battery12V 5Ahliquid vented type by using digital load tester provides the lowestload test of 3.5 ml vitta-Q battery vitamin per cell is 6.3 V showing the battery is on damaged condition and needs for a replacement. (3) The measurement result after using of vitta-Q battery vitamin on lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type by using digital load tester of 2.5 ml battery vitamin per cell, as suggested by the company standard, provides the load tester is in 7.7 V and stays in the indicator parameter of 6.5 V ? 9.6 V, Showing the battery is on good condition and needs for a recharge.
