Abstract

Badean Village has a lot of potential, including typical village cuisine, coffee plantations, durian gardens, clear river flows, megalithic historical stones and others. The current development of Badean Village is still not optimal, due to the lack of public knowledge about tourism and people who do not understand well about the tourism potential they have to be packaged, which will later become something interesting and have selling points to tourists. The purpose of this research is to encourage and assist the Pokdarwis Karangpakel Bersatuin optimizing tourism potential so that it can be packaged into tourism products. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and literature study. The results of this study are: (1) the implementation of the concept of community based tourism (CBT) in Badean Village has been in accordance with the principles of CBT; (2) efforts to assist the Pokdarwis Karangpakel Bersatu in packaging tourism products have been carried out in Badean Village; (3) there are several tourism potentials that have been packaged and developed into tourism products that have selling value.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh permasalahan mengenai kepentingan masyarakat petani di Desa Puger Kulon dan Puger Wetan yang tidak terurus oleh pemerintah dalam hal ketersedian pasokan air irigasi yang lancar, sehingga perlu untuk melakukan advokasi sebagai upaya mencapai kebijakan baru ataupun kesepakatan bersama untuk menyelesaiakan permasalahan ini. Pendekatan dan metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Data yang digunakan berupa data kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Data yang digunakan berupa data kualitatif dengan jenis data yang terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Derajat kepercayaan diuji menggunakan teknik trianggulasi data. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif oleh Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan proses advokasi kebijakan untuk pemenuhan kepentingan petani di Desa Puger Kulon dan Puger Wetan berdasarkan proses pembentukan kebijakan dan sasaran advokasi ditempuh melalui empar proses, yang pertama lobi, kedua negosiasi, ketiga mediasi dan yang keempat kolaborasi

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the location of the final waste disposal site in Kediri Regency. The district has a very large potential for waste generation, on the other hand it only has one landfill location, while the location is close to the airport development plan, thus requiring a new location that is adequate, strategic, economical and environmentally friendly. The methodology used is a qualitative research method, using primary and secondary data, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. Determination of the location of an adequate, strategic, economical and environmentally friendly waste landfill site is carried out through regional analysis, allowance analysis and determination. Based on this analysis, alternative locations for landfills in Kediri Regency are generated in four villages located in two sub-districts, namely Mojo Village and Sukoanyar Village in Mojo District and Selopanggung Village and Sidomulyo Village in Semen District.

Abstract

The P5+1 countries (United States, France, Britain, Russia, China, and Germany) with Iran formed a nuclear agreement called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2015. The JCPOA has the goal of limiting Iran's nuclear activities only as a technological development activity, not for nuclear weapons purposed. When the United States was under Donald Trump's administration, he stated that the United States should withdraw from JCPOA. The decision was created from his consideration as president at the time of the JCPOA applied. Rational choice theory and game theory are used to analyze Donald Trump's decision. Donald Trump views that the JCPOA does not have a major influence in stopping Iran's nuclear activities entirely. In addition, Iran's political and economic influence at the time the JCPOA took effect became a threat to the United States. Moreover, JCPOA is also not beneficial for the United States from Donald Trump’s point of view. Keywords: United States, Donald Trump, JCPOA

Abstract

This article is based on the government's disaster management efforts, specifically in Jember Regency, through the Regional Disaster Management Agency in the creation of the Tanggul River Watershed contingency plan document. The goal of this research is to describe the function of the Jember Regency's Regional Disaster Management Agency in the development of the Embankment Watershed Contingency Plan Document (DAS). The theory used in this research is role theory according to Horton which has a behavioral perspective that is expected from a person or institution/organization in a certain status, as well as its duties and functions in supporting the effort to achieve goals. The approach and research method used is qualitative with the type of data consisting of primary data and secondary data obtained through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The degree of confidence was tested using the data triangulation technique. Analysis of the data using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings of the study showed the involvement of the Jember Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency in the creation of a contingency plan document that is separated into three roles: coordinator, commander, and executor. The role of the BPBD as coordinator is to: provide stakeholders with an understanding of the contingency plan's objectives and the importance of joint disaster management; become a command, namely in terms of technical implementation, in this case choosing work partners and forming a contingency plan document, which is commanded directly by the BPBD; and be an executor, namely as a disaster management policy holder, is required to carry out what is mandated by the policy.

Abstract

Villages have the authority to improve public services for community members in order to accelerate the realization of general welfare, advance the economy of rural communities, and overcome national development gaps. The form of institution that meets these needs is the Village-Owned Public Agency or better known as BUMDes. In Sidoarjo Regency, there is one BUMDes that has quite good prospects, namely the Sewu Barokah BUMDes which is located in Penatarsewu Village, Tanggulangin District. The BUMDes has several units in it, including fisheries, agriculture, waste ksm, and restaurants which are the result of a partnership program between the private and regional governments, namely Resto Apung Seba. The Floating Resto is the result of a collaboration between BUMDes Sewu Barokah and PT. Pertamina Gas. However, currently there are several obstacles that are being experienced by the Floating Resto, namely the lower number of visitors. This is due to several factors, namely the covid-19 pandemic, then the location which is quite far from the crowds and the city center, less than optimal promotions, and incomplete facilities. After seeing the situation described above, it is necessary to find a solution, namely by choosing a more appropriate and effective strategy for BUMDes Sewu Barokah as the parent of the Floating Resto unit. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the internal and external factors of Resto Apung Seba in order to obtain a development strategy. This descriptive research uses a qualitative approach. Research data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Head of BUMDes Sewu Barokah who is also the manager of Apung Seba Resto, restaurant manager, Community Development Officer (CDO) PT. Pertagas, as well as Resto's visitors as informants were determined by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used SWOT analysis. The research findings show that the main strength of the Apung Seba Resto is that the restaurant has been known by the local community and outside the city because of its construction which is the result of collaboration with the private sector. The main drawback is that access to the location is quite difficult because it is far from the city center. The main opportunity that Resto has is raw materials that are easy to get because Penatarsewu Village is the center of the smoked fish industry. Then the main threat is that there has been no menu update since the restaurant was founded. The location of the Apung Seba Restaurant quadrant is in quadrant I, which is an advantage.

Abstract

Cambodia as a country with a low human development index still has to deal with the high number of trafficking cases in the country. Although Cambodia and two international nongovernmental organizations (INGOs), namely The Asia Foundation and the International Justice Mission (IJM) have collaborated to combat human trafficking in the country, these efforts so far have not shown maximum results. This research was also conducted to reveal what are the faktors that hinder the achievement of transnational cooperation goalsto combat human trafficking in Cambodia. This study uses several concepts such as poverty, low education, corruption, and other social and cultural faktors as domestic faktors that hinder the eradication of human trafficking. Meanwhile the theory used is the Theory of Stages of Norm Internalization from Martha Finnemore and Kathryn Sikkink and Theory of Transnational Relations and Domestic Structure from Thomas Risse-Kappen. On the other hand, the data collection technique in this research is literature study and for the data analysis technique, the researcher uses stages consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing.Based on the analysis in this study, the causes of transnational cooperation got hinderedin combating human trafficking are divided into indirect causes which include the lack of a strong internalization process for human rights norm in Cambodia as a result of state-controlledcountry and direct causes which include poverty in the country, low education, corruption in law enforcement related to the eradication of human trafficking, as well as other social and cultural faktors in the form of debt bondage and lack of job opportunities in Cambodia.

Abstract

Artikel dengan berjudul “Membangun Pola Komunikasi Peringatan Dini Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Kali Jompo Kabupaten Jember”, dilatar belakangi oleh DAS Kali Jompo yang hampir setiap musim penghujan terjadi peristiwa banjir. Di sisi lain F PRB Kali Jompo sebagai Forum Pengurangan Risiko Bencana (F-PRB) pada DAS Kali Jompo program pengurangan risiko belum terstruktur terutama praktik kesiapsiagaan Peringatan Dini (Early Warning System). Tujuannya adalah memperkuat praktik komunikasi peringatan dini banjir pada DAS Kali Jompo yang lebih terstruktur dan efektif. Teori yang digunakan adalah komunikasi model Harol Laswell “Who says what in which channel to whom with what effect”. Teknik pengambilan data primer melalui observasi partisipan dan teknik Focus Group Discussion (FGD), sedangkan pengambilan data sekunder melalui dokumentasi. Teknik analisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasilnya adalah; pertama, komunikator dan komunikan adalah para petugas pos pantau sebanyak 9 (sembilan) titik yang tersebar mulai hulu sampai hilir DAS Jompo. Kedua, pola komunikasi peringatan dini antar pos pantau berlangsung secara timbal balik/dialog. Ketiga, Informasi dari pos pantau hulu yang diterima oleh pos pantau hilir disebarkan kepada masyarakat sekitar titik pantau dan masyarakat melakukan respon atas informasi yang diterima. Keempat, para petugas pos pantau menggunakan media komunikasi Hand Phone android, oleh karena Hand Phone android dapat mengirim pesan baik dalam rupa suara, tulisan, dan gambar sehingga pesan lebih aktual. Kelima, proses komunikasi pos pantau fluktuatif linier dengan dinamika ancaman.

Abstract

Research is to describe the implementation of the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK R) program and its impact on youth. The PIK R program is one of several programs implemented by the Family Planning Village (KB) of Sukoreno Village, Kalisat District, Jember Regency. The government provides PIK R programs for adolescents to practice life skills and develop the quality of adolescents. The problem is how to implement the PIK R program and its impact on adolescents. The research method uses a qualitative approach. Purposive determination of informants. Data collection by interview, observation and documentation. After the data collected is analyzed and tested its validity. The results showed that the implementation of the PIK R program were: Peer Educator Training and Peer Counselors namely training for PIK R youth related to the KRR TRIAD covering sexuality, HIV and AIDS and drugs, Life Skill Activity in catfish cultivation, namely catfish cultivation as a routine activity for teens to improve life skills, Utilization of catfish as catfish nuggets is one of the efforts related to the creativity of PIK R teenagers in managing catfish into more interesting food. Impacts of PIK R for adolescents, namely: Psychological Impacts of changing adolescent bad habits in changing drunken behavior and the use of illegal drugs have now stopped, Social Impact eliminates anxiety for local residents as the environment is a place of influence so that better teenage change will have an impact on around it, Economic Impact helps parents increase family income through catfish cultivation life skill activities by teenagers PIK R.
