Abstract

Abstract: To observe the dinamics of the press in Indonesia is very interesting as the development of national press can not be apart of socio-politics situation in this country. Even it can be told that the “live or dead” of national press depends on how the ruler treat it. Historical facts inform us that media censorship has become a snate for press development time by time. In this connection, media censorship has become primary weapon to limit the press freedom in media politics applied by the ruler. It because media has a very important role in contemporary political arts. Press freedom is now a thing that journalists struggle to be happen. At the other hand, the ruler needs press to legitimate its power. This articles aim to analyze how media censorship had chained the press freedom in view of media politics. In this case, the ruler applies the press policy toward the press institution to secure its position and power.

Abstract

Abstract: Women’s participation in politics is very low particularly because of the situation in which women are marginalized both in terms of voters and candidates. In this sense, voter education based on gender perspective is one of the significance ways to increase women’s political awareness. Pocket comic is seen as a media that can be used to achieve such awareness. This study examines the effectiveness of comic as an aid used in voter education in order to increase political participation of women as evaluators. This study found that pocket comic could be well understood by married women who received information from the media. Those women had also been trained by the Government and the PKK in the elections training through which they were stimulated to have gender awareness and then internalize it in their life.

Abstract

Abstract: Dayak Jangkang is one of the Dayak’s sub-ethnics that inhabits the Jangkang district, Sanggau regency, West Kalimantan and directly borders with Sarawak, Malaysia. Jangkang Dayak population reaches 45,000. Dayak Jangkang nowadays still maintains and continue the tradition of the ancestors, as reflected in the structure of society, social relations, customs, and culture. Therefore it still maintains and continues the tradition of the Dayak Jangkang’s ancestors in their way of life. Many people, especially those outside Dayak, lack of understanding of their own culture. Therefore, the social conflicts caused by social relations between Dayak Jangkang and migrants (outsiders) are due to the insufficient understanding of the meaning of the symbols.

Abstract: Studi kasus di industri pertambangan Indonesia dipilih sebagai jendela untuk memahami fungsi public relations (PR) di era paska Suharto. Partisipan memandang era reformasi yang memungkinkan kebebasan berpendapat dan sistem desentralisasi sebagai pemicu untuk menyusun strategi public relations (PR) yang baru dalam menjalin hubungan dengan publik. Personal relationship model of PR ditemukan sebagai model PR yang dominan di industri pertambangan Indonesia. Model ini dipilih sebagai strategi untuk membangun hubungan baik dengan orangorang kunci di komunitas yang dipahami sebagai masyarakat kolektif. Temuan ini mendukung proposisi yang menyatakan adanya pengaruh budaya setempat dan nilai-nilai lokal terhadap paktekPR.

Abstract

Abstract: Daerah pedesaan secara global memperlihatkan adanya keragaman dalam jumlah penduduk, struktur sosial, lokasi dan tujuan. Namun secara umum desa dilihat sebagai daerah miskin yang terkendala pelayanan bagi masyarakat (publik dan swasta). Setiap organisasi yang membantu pengembangan masyarakat desa menghadapi tantangan seperti cara pikir masyarakat, kepemilikan tanah, birokrasi pemerintahan lokal, pendidikan yang rendah dan sebagainya. Tulisan ini mengkaji arti penting proses interpretasi bagi suatu organisasi dalam mendefinisikan makna masyarakat bagi mereka dan peran penting penyesuaian bersama antara organisasi dan masyarakat dalam rangka mengelola pembangunan desa. Tulisan ini akan memaparkan konsep pembangunan desa yang dikembangkan melalui proyek ESSV (Energy Self Sufficient Village) di Indonesia.

Abstract : Public Relations encompasses basically the management and communications function between organizations and public. The important thing of the public relations management is research, because Public Relations program is started from research and after all the programs done. It is also using research to find the output and outcome. The point is how to gain successful of Public Relations program depend on how to use research.
