Abstract

Palestinians submitted a proposal to become a full member of the United Nations in 2011 but did not receive enough support from the UN Security Council. Palestinians again proposed to increase membership status with the United Nations General Assembly in 2012. Israel saw the Palestinian as an attempt unilateral adverse political position Israel. This study aims to know the diplomacy Israel in opposing Palestinian efforts to become a full member of United Nations through bilateral and multilateral diplomacy. The results showed that Israel bilateral diplomacy has failed. The results showed that Israel through bilateral diplomacy has failed. Multilateral diplomacy has also failed to prevent an increase in Palestinian UM membership status. On 29 November 2012, the UN General Assembly decided to increase the status of the Palestinian to non-member observer state in the United nations. Palestinians was supported 138 countries, 41 countries abstained, and only 9 states that the Palestinians refused to increase membership status

Abstract

ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) faces at least two challenges, its organizational structure and its performance. In the matter of organizational structure the members debate on the possibility to change AIPA from an assembly to be a parliament. As for the performance matter the members intend to increase its support to ASEAN in achieving ASEAN community targets. Considering Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) and the ASEAN way, the basic principles of ASEAN, the writer suggest AIPA to maintain its current structure while increasing the performance of the members national parliament respectively

Abstract

Political science as a branch of social science which had foundations, frame focus, and a clear scope; it can be said that political science is still young age because its birth in the late 19th century. As a scientific knowledge, political science has resulted debates among scientists. Because of these, the social science scholars have subsequently agreed with the definition of science is the sum of coordinated knowledge relative to determine subject). But many political scientist are not satisfied with this broad formulation, which then prompted experts to develop the scientific method. Political science need to use new ways to examines the symptoms and political events in a more systematic, relying empirical experiences using a detailed theoretical framework and rigorous. This new approach is known as behavioral approach. This behavioral approach encourages the development of political science as a scientific discipline until the present. Although this approach is not free from criticism, especially traditionalist approach, but in political analysis this approach is very useful to understand the political phenomenon.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to know; (1) What are the enhancements of science and technology in Iran Islam Republic after the embargo by United States in 2006; (2) What causes the increase of science and technology in Iran. This research using a method of qualitative, with the procedure data collection techniques based on facts. This research can be summed as follows: first, there are the discoveries of science and technology after embargo by the United States (after 2006). Second, the increase in science and technology its cause by natural resources factors and the ability of the economy and ability of the population and owned by the powerful ideology of the Iranian nation.

Abstract

During the civil war in Liberia, many children are involved in wars as a child soldiers. They have served in various field of the war. Regarding to this situation, United Nations ran the DDRR (Disarmament, Demobilization, Rehabilitation and Reintegration) program which succeeded in reducing the number and involvement of child soldiers in Liberia. It was also integrated the children into the communities where they originated. The program was successfully implemented by several supporting factors namely: leadership, momentum, participation of all parties, salient solution and the government policy on the national agenda of Liberia.
