Abstract

This study was aimed to find out whether the syllabus and material provided by the English lecturer of informatics department  match with both the concept of English for Specific Purpose (ESP) and students’ needs. This study was conducted in three departments (Manajemen Informatika, Teknik Informatika, and Komputerisasi Akuntansi) of Higher Education of Computer Science (HECS) and involved six students from various level of English proficiency (low, mid, and high achiever). This study used a qualitative approach, particularly case  study. The data for the study were collected through interviews, syllabus, and materials. syllabus and material were analyzed by using the available theories, like Hutchinson and Water (1087), Dudely-Evans and St. John (1998), and other theories in chapter 2. Then, the findings data  from interviews were matched to the data from syllabus and material whether syllabus and material were relevance to the need of students’ or not. This study reveals that the learners’ need are generally mismatched to syllabus and material provided by the lecturer, meanwhile type of syllabus used in the syllabus is a combination of structural syllabus, functional syllabus, and organizational syllabus. Moreover, most of the materials were categorized as general English. From the findings, it was clear that the lecturer didn’t fully design either syllabus or materials based on ESP as students’ need.  The lecturer, therefore,  should  conduct students’ need analysis before designing syllabus and material (students centered). Keywords: english for specific purpose; students’ needs

Abstract

By the rapid growth in information technology sector and the need for rapid and accurate information which can support the decision making, the computerized data processing is one alternative in providing a reliable information.  This research was conducted to provide a solution for business on the problem of data processing of accounts receivable such as the receivable which passed the due, data copying and error on the receivable data calculation that led to inaccurate report. Of this research is designed a accounts receivable data processing application that have aging analysis of receivable which can classify the data accounts that passed the due, automatic numbering to avoid data duplication and accounting calculations that can provide convenience for the user to present an accurate report and useful for management decision making. There is method even research that is utilized in this research, the method is waterfall system development method consisting of study feasibility, system design, implement and system evaluation. By using programming languages Visual Basic 6, the final result obtained from this study is an Information Systems of Data Processing Accounts Receivable. Keywords: information system; account receivable; waterfall; visual basic

Abstract

This research aims to design a system thati in order to make a calculation of salaries and VAT application on 3rd party. Currently the data processing is still done manually which caused some problems as well as constraints such as lack of proper calculation that takes a long time in the process poses, so it needs to be made an application that can handle these problems. To achieve these objectives need to be done in the following steps of conducting systems analysis, design and implement the payroll calculation application and Vat on 3rd party services using Microsoft Visual Sttudio 2005 (VB.Net) as media processing. Abstract

This paper contains a description of the various media interactive learning which is based on research results in the CV. 4 Vision Media, Media interactive learning is a project for clients who request made interactive media on the CV. 4 Vision Media. In this interactive learning media processing software using Adobe Flash Professional CS6 as the main application and device support software other two are Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw. Given this media interactive learning, teachers and students can be expected to correlate well to create a harmonious atmosphere between the two sides.  Keywords: media interactive learning

Abstract

Urunan Desa (URDES) is an imposition of levies in the form of a sum of money to the villagers with a particular classification, with the services provided by the village government or form of participation of rural communities in supporting the implementation of rural development and village government organization magnitude value based on the results of consultation and agreement between the government village with BPD (Badan Pemusyawarahan Desa) is taken from the calculation of the principal provisions of the property tax each taxpayer. However, the low percentages of taxpayers still lower the level of tax receipts and URDES. In addition because there is widespread awareness of the public to pay taxes, the lack of a system intended for taxpayers who want to know the necessary information about the taxpayer's property tax as well as the village and used data processing and reports that are running currently using Microsoft Excel. Based on the phenomenon than designed and implemented Information System Based on Percentage URDES Property Tax using descriptive and Waterfall system development methods, other than that this final project using Visual Studio 2005, Microsoft Access 2007 as database and operating system Windows XP. The expected result of this system that software can help users in the preparation of reports required by this system and to facilitate the presentation of information systems URDES percentage of the amount of property tax.  Keywords: sytem information; tax property
