Abstract

Our country is bordered with many other countries, such as sea border and also mainlandborder. Having two territories which extremely dangerous toward security disturbed alsosocial-economy and culture, that is West Kalimantan and East Nusa Tenggara. People who stay in that border, in general are the indigenous people which need attention in order to increase their social welfare. Humanistic approach must first priority compare with militaristic-repressive approach because they are as a border guard of our country.Key Words : humanistic approach, militaristic-repressive approach

Abstract

The social problems these days are so complex that it is impossible to solve it only by one elimensional approach since this approach is actually not for used on solving the problems.To solve then social problems, we need to develop multi dimensional approach. Social workers provide that approach. In general, social workers provide social intervansion which is focused on problem solving which implement various approaches comprehensively (from various perspectives). Abstract

Oil-palm estates are believed by the government as a business undertaking to boost thewell-being of the peasants and provide job opportunities in rural areas. Oil-palm estates are also believed to be able to boost economic growth of provinces. In establishing oil-palm estates, the government prompts cooperation pattern between the capital holders (private companies) and the local farmers in model called People’s Nucleus Estates (Perusahaan Inti Rakyat – PIR) in which the company provides the capital, technology and the management of marketing, while the local farmers provide the lands and the labour.West Kalimantan is a region preferred to develop oil-palm estates for the vast area of “no man’s vacant lands” and the oil-palm estate companies are expected to conduct the transfer of technology to the local horticulturalists (agriculturalists with Swidden/slash burn cultivation) so that the well-being of the locals get increased. This paper describes that the plasma smallholding plantation planters need more affirmative from the state to protect not only their land but also their culture to increase economic and social development for their social welfare. The problems started when the communal lands the local communities managed as agricultural lands to sustain their life and as reserves for additional income were taken over by the company. As the population number of the plasma smallholding plantation planters’ family grew while the oil-palm at their smallholding plantation produced less and less due to the old age, the planters assumed that the company had no attention to the planters’ economic problems.Key Words : the plasma smallholding plantation, People’s Nucleus Estates

Abstract

As the floodwaters, which inundated Jakarta early have caused sorrows to many Jakarta,including in Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, have give rise to suffering for many people, like spread throughout the street, made unfit daily activities, and also caused damage for things and forced many people to leaved out from their home. Impacts for this situation, especially for poor and the poorest families in rural area. Their home was broken and loss many materials. This research purposed to assessment and identifies the social aid for the survivor’s floodwaters. Based on the problems, the survivors need aid for recovery they life, like home, material, etc. Beside the material, they social need therapy for social-psychology to handle traumatic situation and to raise self confidence and spirit for alive.Key Words : floodwaters, survivors

Abstract

This paper discusses the problem of gender identity and role which concerns to sociopsychological deviations. The focus of discussion relates to socio-psychological deviation in the scope of transsexual social welfare. That deviation may develop many problems in the societal life, particularly for the transsexuals themselves. The problems which are experienced by transsexuals rooted on gender identity and roles, and this impact on their daily behaviour and avtivities. As the consequencies, the others who live arroud them look their behaviour as a deviation. Among other things which become problems to transexuals are related to job, the style of dressing, Haj pilgrim for Moslems, public toilet usage etc. There are many efforts done by transexuals to obtain their gender identities for legally acception from the government. Nevertheless, the proposal for their gender identities has not been accepted yet, as it is unline with the Indonesian legislation both formal and informal.The scientists, including researchers have roles on policies and programs formulation inputs in order to empowering transexuals to become a potential human resources. On the other hand, through experimental research the concept are tested through experimental research to obtain medical psychiatric and social psychological theories.Key Words : gender identities and roles, social psychological deviations, human resourcesempowerment.

Peoples had equality of living right. To moved, to creation, to critics, to request or to reject, obedient or denial, to defend our self in all of situation to fulfill the opinion of living need. This condition must be democratic protection. The bone as much white, the blood as much red, to ramble and to buried around in the surface of the world. World view of Manado, “all of peoplesalways friendship”, World view of Melayu “The world where to stand, there the sky to uphold”. To share joys and sorrows, utopist of Indonesia. The meaning of lived reality everybody separated with the differences, especially for the indigenous people. So, we must build their solidarity to improve their live and leave the backward.
