Jurnal peer-review ini juga berfungsi sebagai forum yang menampung berbagai penelitian yang sedang dilakukan terhadap perkembangan manusia dan budaya di seluruh dunia. Jurnal LAKONmemuat aspek penelitian yang teoritis, empiris, dan historis yang didasarkan pada realitas lokal dan regional, dan berkaitan dengan praktek-praktek sehari-hari, identitas, media, teks, dan bentuk-bentuk budaya lainnya. Metode pengobatan berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan dunia pemikiran dan kebudayaan manusia. Masa awal metode pengobatan tradisional sangat dipengaruhi oleh kepercayaan terhadap dunia non material. Periode pengobatan modern mengeliminasi kepercayaan itu dan lebih menawarkan pemahaman tentang kesehatan yang bisa diterima logika. Metode pengobatan tradisional tidak sepenuhnya hilang di masa modern ini. Eksistensinya masih bisa ditemukan di tengah-tengah masyarakat kita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan fisik dan keberadaan fungsi dari pengobat tradisional (dukun) di masa modern sekarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dari hasil penelitian yang pernah dilakukan sebelumnya dan menganalisisnya dengan teori eksistensi. Hasilnya, secara fisik dan fungsi, praktik-praktik pengobatan tradisional masih hidup di tengah-tengah masyarakat dan masih dipercaya oleh sebagian masyarakat penggunanya.

AbstractThis paper concern on the multiculturalism in Australia related to the immigration policy. Since the application of “White Australia Policy” which makes some restriction to people from other countries who are considered as different color and non-English speakers to come to Australia ended in 1907, the government attempts to eliminate the discrimination treatments to them all. This paper employs descriptive essay which was aimed to describe more aboutAustralian multiculturalism after the end of “White Australia Policy”. The technique of data collection was literary study from some sources like journals and some news from internet. The writer took three cases have ever happenedrelated to the multiculturalism in Australia to analyse the application of immigrants policy after “White Australia Policy” annulment. Those are Arabians beating in Sydney coast by Neo-Nazi, discrimination against Muslim minorityand Africans by police in Victoria, and also Muslim demonstration because of Muhammad humiliation. The study revealed that “White Australia Policy” still can not completely be eliminated. Those three cases, it shows that there arestill many discrimination treatments against coloured immigrants; on the other hand the government is still trying to implement a multiculturalism policy.

Discourse correlation of human life with nature (ecological) became the focus of attention at the present time, the phenomenon of reduced energy and role imbalance between the supply and use of natural production to accompany thegrowing issue of human relationships with nature. Culturally, people have been living with the results provided by nature, human knowledge of nature has been summarized in the cultural record with human life from simple forms tothe complexity of life today, the use of natural products in the form of the material to the term that refers to the relationship between humans and nature recorded in the cognitive culture. This study discusses about the ecologicalspace of symbolic images that depict human relationships in a Batak-Mandailing culture with nature, the natural role that determines the attitude and behavior of people in the running life. Forms of ecological relationship between humans and nature are represented in the form of Gordang Sambilan musical repertoire.

The presence of women in same-sex sexual trend in Indonesia is considered unnatural. The actor suffered the injustice of the treatment. Condition that was not expected by the women does not make them desperate but appear to be driving their own to declare independence in the community generally. The research follows the lives of several lesbian experiences tells the respondent. Work and have their own income is the way to survive in the big city and at the same time strengthening their identity is still shrouded. A gender and sexual identity collide and the real personalities of women who never consciously chosen from the beginning. But the pressures and demands of life that makes them exist until now. Authors conducted a simple ethnographic approach was very useful in order to obtain accurate data. The research was conducted in Surabaya and done solely to open our eyes wider to the presence of women with different sexual orientation than most of us. It must be admitted some use of key terms in the analysis may be not too precise, perhaps even often confused as a synonym. Gender identity, sexual-biological, sexual orientation. The third term is still like a new food menu, let alone trying to comment on 'taste'. However, the authors sought to understand this discourse as closely as possible, be descriptive, with the hope of understanding themselves become better writers and story-telling flow, and thus contribute to the realm of gender and sexuality, no matter how small.
