Abstract

Abstract

Traffic congestion caused by traffic volume close to road capacity, where the service level canbe seen from the degree of saturation, ie DS = V / C. Ideally the value of V / C ≤ 0.75. From visualobservations the author, in Palu has frequent traffic congestion especially at peak hours on aparticular road segment. One reason is the high vehicle growth is not matched by growth inroad infrastructure. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the performance of the streetbetween two signalized intersections in the city of Palu to determine the causes and findsolutions solving traffic congestion. The survey will be conducted to obtain primary data and secondary data analysis required inthe performance of such road traffic data, data geometric road side barriers, interviews withpassengers and motorists. The study was conducted for 4 days at 06:00 to 22:00 with theassumption that the traffic data coverage is 93%.This paper recommends a treatment that is optimized bersinyal roads by managing theintersections along the road segment between intersections with traffic cut off by installing asignal light and each intersection there is an alternative to motorists to avoid congestion, afterallowing back off to prevent the flow of traffic queues length.

Abstract

Groundwater basin naturally constrained by the limits controlled by the hydrogeologic andgeologic conditions or groundwater hydraulics, and in general not the same as the governmentboundaries. The purpose of this study to identify the lateral boundary of Palu Groundwater Basin(CAT Palu). Analysis method based on analysis of field data for the determination of thegeometry and configuration of the lateral aquifer system. The results showed that: 1). externalzero flow boundary, are the contact area between the aquifer and the aquifers that form CATPalu. This form of field boundary fault, conformity and the unconformity as the main geologicalstructures are dominated by graben structures known as Palu Fault, 2). CAT Palu boundarybased on groundwater divide coincides with the boundary surface of the water separatorwhich separates the two main aquifer groundwater flow in the opposite direction, 3). externalhead-controlled boundary in CAT Palu is the sea level because the main aquifer is notdepressed, and 4). inflow boundary located in the east and west of Palu River, from structuralbuckling hillsides and Mount Mount Gawalise Tanggungguno. In the southern part of the PaluRiver upstream Kamamora area. Outflow boundary located in the northern part of the Gulf ofPalu.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design the value of Student Information System to support decision making and daily operational requirements, and to compare the effectiveness and efficiency of data processing and presentation of information between existing systems and information in the proposed system. Research conducted in this case is a qualitative descriptive study surveyed the object of research is on the State Primary School Bambalamotu Mamuju north by using data collecting technique is observation, Interview, and Research Library. System is a system created using the MySQL database and Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 as the programming language. System testing was conducted to examine the effectiveness and efficiency of the system referred to the accuracy of the data, presentation of information and data validation of the proposed Information System. So that the data processing and presentation of the report as expected. The results showed that by using a computerized system in data processing and data collection The students more effectively and efficiently than previously existing systems.

Abstract

Housing as one of the needs of the community continues to grow along with the economicimprovement of society. Completeness of facilities and infrastructure to support housingoperations and can be used as parameters for the realization of a standard residential andhabitable. So that the identification of variables related to the assessment of residential propertyneeds to be done to determine the variables that need to be considered by the partiesinvolved in property valuation. This study aims to identify the variables that greatly affect thevaluation of residential property based on the perceptions of residents of residential (consumer).Sources of primary data through questionnaires, interviews and surveys, and secondary datafrom the literature associated with research. The sampling system with random sampling of thepopulation with housing target is resident in South Palu. Data processed by descriptive statisticsand using the Likert scale for the percentage of residents perceptions of housing. The resultsshowed that the variables that greatly affect the valuation of residential property in South Palu:Pengawu, Bumi Anggur and Palupi Permai housing residents is based on the perception ofphysical variables and availability of housing facilities.

Abstract

The limitation of soil data due to poor soil investigation process is a common problem in civil engineering project. The finite element method was used to analyse the compatibility of foundation to support silos in Liverpool Docks. Both shallow foundation and pile foundation were considered. The results of the analyses are presented by comparing analytical and numerical solution. Parametric study was considered for each case. There are different results for two types of shallow foundation that had been considered. Strip foundation seemed more reliable than pad foundation, while Pile foundation considered to be first choice due to the satisfactory condition for all factors.
