Abstract

Reverse logistics is an item management activity that is no longer used by consumers or goods in the form of return from partners in the supply chain to be returned to the origin, because the product is unfunctional properly or the function of the item is not needed. Home appliances products within a certain period of time, these products must be replaced because they cannot technically function properly. The process of producing, using, and disposing of electronic products has an impact on the environment of the earth and the universe. If electronic waste is left without a policy to process it, there will be a buildup of electronic waste everywhere and will burden the environment. While this electronic product waste still contains economic value that can still be utilized. Therefore it is necessary to identify electronic waste handling activities, namely those that have material flow characteristics from the customer to the producer (reverse logistics), so as to provide added value.

Abstract

This research aims at investigating the area of interest (AOI) of the human operator when conducting automated robotic assembly task. A technical system, so called control cognitive unit (CCU), is applied into this empirical study to represent human cognition system and based on the prior knowledge, to adapt into condition changing of product structure and material supply. To improve the compatibility between human expectation and the technical system, this empirical study is designed and focused on different model of robot behaviour based on number of human-oriented production rule that applied in the models. Participants are expected to recognize the robot’s work pattern regarding assembly sequences using LEGO brick and carburetor and then to predict the position of the next brick or carburetor part. The result of ANOVA test of assembly task using LEGO brick finds significant differences on the fixation duration for the interaction between the model of robot behaviour and the assembly group as well as between the assembly group and AOI. Assembly with carburetor shows a significant difference for interaction between the model of robot behaviour and AOI. Furthermore, the fixation duration of the participants during the assembly processes using the most-human oriented model lead to the shortest fixation duration.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the utilization of the worker’s time in the filling process, packaging department, a cup and bottled water company. Considering the aim of the study and the task characteristics, work sampling technique was used. Two production lines and two work stations were selected for time study analysis. In each work station, two workers with different tasks were involved for the time analysis. A number 586 and 1710 observations from Worker 1 in Line 1 and Line 2, and 586 and 1440 observations from Worker 2 in Line 1 and Line 2 were taken and observed. Results showed that the utilization of worker’s time are 31.7% and 33.6 % of Worker 1 in Line 1 and Line 2, and 25.6% and 21.0% of Worker 2 in Line 1 and Line 2. Results of significant testing showed that no significant differences were found for workers’ time utilization between Worker 1 in Line 1 and Worker 1 in Line 2 (Z=-0.82, p=0.41) and between Worker 2 in Line 1 and Worker 2 in Line 2 (Z=2.17, p=0.03) for α=0.01. Regarding findings in this study, it is reasonable for the management to consider work station which one worker per machine instead of two workers per one machine.

Abstract

A hospital has an installation services including outpatient, inpatient, ER and laboratories. In making the case in the ER department schedules, lack of attention to equity aspects schedule guard duty nurse. Nurse scheduling is one of the problems in health care organizations that are hard to solve. The number of patients who are not controlled, the seriousness of the patient's disease, absence and private demand for the holiday, including making a schedule for each nurse into working hours (shifts) different in the short term. Seeing those conditions, it is done using the ER nurse scheduling algorithm method Tibrewala, Phillipe and Brown (TPB). This method can produce a schedule to minimize the amount of labor. In this research  is also developing software for web-based application scheduling algorithm based on TPB.Making an application based on Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) is simple, consisting of one admin as manager application. Scheduling resulting from the processing of nurses to determine the needs, the number of nurses and the number of shift each nurse. The structure of application is made simple program consisting of, the need for nurses, shift work and the needs of the iteration process to generate schedules. Scheduling algorithms using the TPB can result in the division of labor and the amount of work shift power evenly to each nurse. This application help the process of scheduling the event of changes relating to the scheduling so that the scheduling process can be done at any time by efficiently and effectively.

Abstract

PT. PAI is a footware company that produces sports shoes. The production process at PT. PAI, has a waste of 15.891%. To overcome the problems that occur, this study was conducted with the aim of identifying and proposing waste elimination. The method used is a lean manufacturing approach. One of the tools used is Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Yamazumi Chart. The first stage to solve the problem is the identification of waste using the Waste Relationship Matrix (WRM), Waste Assessment Questionnaire (WAQ) and VALSAT. The second stage is carried out by designing the current Value Stream Mapping (VSM), designing the proposed improvements using the Yamazumi Chart to balance the production line and designing the Future VSM based on the results of the proposals that have been given. The result of identification using these tools is known that the biggest waste is waste in the process with a percentage of 15.891% followed by overproduction of 15.774%. Based on the calculation using VSM and Yamazumi Chart, elimination of waste can be done as much as 5.48%, reducing the number of workers by 32 people and reducing the number of work stations by 16 work stations.

Abstract

The purposes of this research is to analyze the optimal distribution system at PT. X. There are three alternatifs given. The method used is saving matrix method and Knapsack using distance and time data. This research is considered the traffic conditions so the distance matrix is transformed into time matrix. The result show the distribution route and sequence of optimal methods. Distribution route is obtained using Farthest Insert, Nearest Insert and Nearest Neighbor. The sequence of methods is placed saving matrix method at first and then Knapsack or vice versa. After this, the distribution cost is calculated for three alternatifs given. This cost calculation is considered pinalty cost which is the value of opportunity cost when truck is not fully used. The results of cost calcutation show, when considered penalty cost, the best alternatif is alternatifs three that deliveries all consumer demand with freight forwarding services. However, this penalty charge is not real value (not spending money) so the company does not consider the cost of this penalty. When calculating cost without penalty cost, the best alternatif is alternatif one that deliveries all consumer demand with the company’s truck. In the first alternatif, the best method is saving matrix distance – knapsack. This method aims to select nearby consumers then optimize the distribution fleet.

Abstract

PT. SKI is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of hair and skin beauty products such as hair masks, shampoos, conditioners and others. Demand for beauty products that are increasing every day requires companies to produce more than inventory. One solution is to expand the production area in an increase large-scale production processes. However, the current production area which cannot optimally support this due to the absence of vacant land or expansion of the area that can be carried out. Based on the results of interviews with the head of the production section, the plan to move locations in several alternative places is the right solution for the company. In the specific task studied, the need for this location transfer will be related to multiple decision making taken by the company. One technique to identify these problems is using the Analytical Hierarchy Process or AHP method where this method is a simplification of complex problems that are not structured, strategic, and dynamic into their parts, and organize in a hierarchy. The level of importance of each criterion that supports decision support is relatively compared to other criteria by considering various considerations and then synthesizing to determine criteria that have high priority and play a role in influencing the results of the system. Based on the results, it is found that there are several criteria which plays an important role in the selection of factory location alternatives obtained in the mathematical equation. The first criterion namely Investment and Operations has a value of around 55.84% indicating that the first best alternative location in the sub criteria is land price, land area, expansion and employee salaries (UMR). Continued around 58.47% in the second general criteria, namely facilities with sub criteria of water, electricity, transportation and service which showed the best selection was in the first location alternative and 73.51% in the criteria for ease of licensing and transportation access at the first alternative location. By comparing the three data multiplication matrices and assessment criteria, it was found that a large comparison of the three general criteria had a total of 60.91% of the first alternatives being the priority of PT. SKI to choose the location of the new factory area, which is located in Padurenan, Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java.

Abstract

This study examines polices which will be used as strategy development UMKM of DKI Jakarta Provincial. The method used is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) adn Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). AHP used to restucture AHP used to restructure problems decision be shape of hierarchy and calculate weight from each faktors, while TOPSIS used to calculate rank from alternatif solution on AHP, that is with chooses the best alternatif solution based on nearest distance from ideal solution. Based on calculation of data used AHP methods, demographics/population get the highest weight = 0.413. Meanwhile, the calculation of TOPSIS showed capital policy with number of value = 0.929 is better alternatif solution than ideal solution. Based on that two methods, the result is identifying that the capital policy is the best strategy to applied in develop policy of micro business, small and medium.

Abstract

Assessment of the implementation e-government in West Java Province has decreased, despite not having an impact on increasing the development of e-government in Indonesia compared with other countries in the world that experienced a rating increase to 107th position in 2018. Seeing the development of e-government in West Java Province makes a necessity to improve its quality so that it can have an impact on increasing Indonesia's ranking in the top position in the future. For this reason, a state of the art mapping of e-government research is needed in West Java Province based on the results of a systematic literature review. By focusing on five main steps, namely identification of research, selection of primary studies, assessment of study quality, data extraction and monitoring, and data synthesis. In addition to the five main steps, this research will look at three aspects in the design of e-government, namely aspects of technology, people and processes. The sources used in this study are journals and proceedings of seminars taken from the Google Scholar database for five years from 2014 to 2018. The key words used in searching the Google Scholar database are "e-government", "West Java ", and" Jawa Barat ". These keywords are searched in the entire article, not just in the article title. The mapping results show that research issues related to the analysis of e-government implementation are more dominant than research issues related to the design of e-government systems. Nevertheless, in the research issue related to the analysis of e-government implementation there are still opportunities to explore the interaction of G2B and G2G. Research issues related to the design of e-government systems are dominated by the design of technological aspects, so that research opportunities are still open in the design of human aspects and processes.

Abstract

Determining and controlling space area for freezer or chiller, several steps needed to calculate the following factors: unit of measurement, storage dimension, packaging dimension, minimum and maximum stock, and aisle allowance. Unit of measurement is used to convert inventory stock to physical inventory. Dimension is used to determine space area and stacks, include effective storage area and utilization. Minimum and maximum stock are used as indicator for monitoring current stock and to predict space area that will be used for some periods ahead. Aisle allowance is used for material and personnel movement. Next research needs to be developed for layout model to get the whole view of storage area.
