Abstract

For the sustainability of the company in Indonesia, triple bottom line concept (people,planet, profit) have to be adding in every company, especially mining company. This?concept usually be realized by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department, just like?in PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) District KPCS, East Kalimantan. This research type is?descriptive qualitative, which give readers explanation of the situation in facing crisis in 2010?by CSR PAMA KPCS. For explain this, writer used Crisis Pre-Emptive: Image Management?Model by Augustine Pang, because the CSR concept which explored by writer is based on?crisis which happen there, in 2010. In this study, writer divided the phase into 4 phases as the?theory by Pang. They are: Before organizational event: proactive phase; Before organizationalevent: strategic phase; During organizational event: reactive phase; and After organizational?event: recovery phase. Writer also make a scheme based on 4 phase above.

Abstract

Crisis should be handled properly because it can threat the image and reputation oforganizations if it is too late to be handled. The fulfillment needs the information in terms?of responding crisis communication was very important to consider a lot of outstanding?issues in the society at the time of crisis. Media was the fulfillment needs information that was?important for the society. At the time of crisis organization or institution should understand?that the news was published in the media containing specific massage. The reasearch method?is content analysis that can be used to learn caracteristic features of message. The purpose?of this study was determine whether there was differences election crisis communicationresponse by category SCCT Theory in local media reports Solopos and Joglosemar period?from februari until march 2014. The result showed that there was not difference in the?election crisis communication response by SCCT Theory. This is evidenced by the data that?the categorization of crisis response in the media Solopos was same categorization of crisis?response found in Joglosemar media. Categorization crisis response is largest at Solopos?that was Attack the accuser with 22 responses (28,9%) of 76 crisis response that was found.?Whereas Joglosemar with 12 responses ( 31,5%) of 38 crisis response that was found.Response attack the accuser showed that the organization does not wanted to be blamed on?the crisis, it is based on perspektive of the media.

Abstract

The acquisition PT IDKM by PT EMTEK that have an impact of the unification INDOSIAR?and SCTV in the same holding company between period 2011 ? 2012, bring a nation-wide?discussion about concentration of media television ownership in Indonesia. Broadcast act?no.32/2002 with Indonesia Broadcasting Commision as an independent regulatory body?considered weak in the face of concentration. This paper provide a comprehensive description?about the dynamics interaction between agent and structure of Indonesian broadcasting?system particularly in order to organize commercial television media ownership.

Abstract

Family is the smallest social unit in the society. Family also has an important role in the?personal development in a child. However, today divorce rate in Indonesia has increased and?divorce will harm people involved, including children. Divorce triggers weakens relationship?between parent and children. In relational maintenance there are several behaviors used?to maintain relational maintenance between parent and children. So the researcher was?interested to know relational maintenance behaviours between divorced parents who had?custody of their children with their children. In this study the researcher used qualitative?research method and purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The informants were:?divorced man or woman who has custody of their child and the man or woman?s child. Three?people were from each group were interviewed, totaling in 6 informants. The method to test?data validity has source triangulation method by comparing interview and observation result?from all data sources, and only selecting consistant data which has then used as data. The?result of this showed that the applications of relational maintenance behaviours between?parent who had custody of their children with their children consisted of several types,including positivity, openness and routine talk,assurances, task and sharing, supportiveness,joint activities, humor, and constructive conflict management. However not all relational?maintenance behaviors do by divorced parents who had custody of their children with their?children. Some relational maintenance behaviors performed by divorced parents who had?custody of their children with their children were: positivity, supportiveness, joint activities,?humor, and constructive conflict management. Meanwhile, relational maintenance behaviors?that is not performed by divorced parents who had custody of their children with their childrenwere: openness and routine talk and task and sharing that based on the lack of frequency of?face-to-face between parents and children. Generally, relational maintenance performed by?parent who had custody of their children with their children.

Abstract

This research explores about selfies phenomenon, especially how people managing their?self-presentation through selfies on the Facebook. Computer Mediated Communications?(CMC) and Erving Goffman?s Dramaturgi become basic theory in this research. Six informants?were active uploaded their selfies and all of them are students of Communications Science?in Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Phenomenology qualitative data result that?informants are active managing their visual impression management on Facebook. They?consider that Facebook is a stage and themself is an actor, so they can managing their selfies?easily. Formed the charactheristic of CMC consist of: interactive, editable, de massified, and ?asynchronity.

Abstract

Being a single parent is not easy especially for father, and caring for his girls are still?under age of 12 years old. Beside for suffice the needs of the family of an themselves a?father is a single parent should parenting is independent. The purpose of the research to?describe how to engagement parenting father as a single parent to his daughter after the?occurance of divorce. This research using descriptive qualitative method with the approach?of communication interpersonal. The object of this research consist of three father became a?single parent because of the background of divorce in Jumapolo subdistrict. The technique?of collecting data using semi-structured interview. The method of analysing data usingdescriptive analysing. The result of this research suggests that: (1) the communication?interpersonal conducted father as a single parent to this child to give understanding of the?family is not explained about divorce but give understanding of the work of this mother, (2)?engagement parenting conducted in independent and not involved to the other, (3) the?responsibility of father when leaving the girls with entrusting to this family, (4) accessibility?is a single parent, father always give time to accompany for playing and activities his child?everyday. It can be concluded that the involvement parenting father as a single parent to his?daughter is directly in all fulfillment needs.

Abstract

The usage of internet in higher education is increasing. This system is beingimplemented for efficiency and effectivity of communication and activity monitoring among?the academicians. On the other hand, not all academicians have the exact same technology?literacy. Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is one of top university in Indonesia that?already use many internet based programmes in their academic and administration activities.?The purpose of this research see how the role of gender and generation affect the internet?usage of academicians in UMS. Internet usage pattern covers items such as knowledge?and experience on the internet, purpose of using internet, and frequency of using e-mail.?The result shows that generation become the main factor that influence the pattern and?optimalization usage of the internet than the gender one. Academicians that belong to?Generation Y or milineal is the generation that has the highest potential of maximalize the?internet technology, especially for academic activity.
