Abstract

This research is a development research that develops teaching materials physics based contextual by integrating local wisdom. To further this research as the basis for the development of textbook physics of high economic value. This study intends to improve the mastery of concepts of physics students. Teaching materials developed using models of R & D with develop model used is a model development Borg & Gall (1985) and Kemp and Dayton (1985), which consists of; (1) research and data collection through surveys, (2) planning, (3) the preparation of teaching materials printed in the form of student worksheets, (4) test the validity of the expert, (5) product revision, (6) field trials small scale, (7) the revised product, (8) broad-scale field trials, (9) the revision of the final product, and (10) the dissemination and implementation. The trials conducted teaching materials student of physics education by test model one group pretest-posttes design. And based on the analysis of the data validation and testing that the teaching materials developed showing the criteria of "very feasible" to use and to improve the procurement of the concepts of physics students in basic physics lectures. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengembangkan bahan ajar fisika berbasis kontekstual dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal. Untuk lebih jauh penelitian ini sebagai dasar pengembangan buku ajar Fisika yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik. Bahan ajar dikembangkan menggunakan model R & D dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Borg & Gall (1989) dan Kemp & Dayton (1985) yang terdiri atas; (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data melalui survei, (2) perencanaan, (3) penyusunan bahan ajar cetak dalam bentuk lembar kerja siswa, (4) uji validitas pakar, (5) revisi produk, (6) uji coba lapangan skala kecil, (7) revisi produk, (8) uji coba lapangan skala luas, (9) revisi produk final, dan (10) diseminasi dan implementasi. Uji coba bahan ajar dilakukan mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika dengan model tes one group pretest-posttes design. Dan berdasarkan hasil analisis dari data validasi dan uji coba bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan menunjukkan kriteria”sangat layak” untuk digunakan serta dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika mahasiswa pada perkuliahan fisika dasar.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan model pembelajaran karakter berbasis nilai pendidikan karakter dalam membentuk generasi emas Indonesia 2045. Model pengembangan diadaptasi dari model Dick & Carey dengan subjek uji coba produk adalah siswa kelas XI pada beberapa sekolah di Nusa Tenggara Barat. Model pembelajaran karakter diimplementasikan dalam mata pelajaran biologi, kimia dan fisika melalui perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan dengan sintaks model pembelajaran karakter. Indikator penilaian karakter diadaptasi dari indikator pendidikan karakter yang dikombinasikan dengan keterampilan abad 21. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi penilaian diri dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran karakter yang dikembangkan memiliki sintaks: kumpulkan, rembukkan, analisis, komunikasikan dan terapkan. Adapun model pembelajaran karakter berbasis nilai pendidikan karakter yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan kategori sangat baik.Abstract:The study aimed to develop and to reveal the appropriate character learning model based on character education values to prepare Indonesian golden generation in 2045. The developing model adapted from Dick & Carey and the product was tested in the 11th grade students of senior high school that located in West Nusa Tenggara. The character learning model was implemented into biology, chemistry and physics subjects by using character learning model syntax in learning tools. The indicators of measuring the characters were adapted from Indonesian golden generation character indicators and 21st century skill indicators. The instrument for data collection included character self-assessment and observation sheets. The result showed that (1) the character learning model which was developed has five syntax namely collecting, discussing, analyzing, communicating and applying; the problem and its solution were focussed on environment, society and economic issue; (2) character learning model based on character education values was valid to use with very good category.

Abstract

There are various factors that become obstacles to the development of renewable energy technology, which are the low knowledge of renewable energy and the low level 21st century skills of people. Therefore, it is very necessary to design a learning that is able to increase knowledge about renewable energy and improve 21st century skills simultaneously. This study aimed to design programs of environmental physics lectures about OWC as a renewable energy source. This research was a developmental research with stages of analysis, design, and development. The products in this study were a test instruments to measure creative thinking skills, OWC converters prototype and project-based lecture programs implementation plans that are oriented towards providing creative thinking skills through a combination of lectures in the classroom, laboratory, and marine environment. All products were validated by 5 experts. In addition beside validation of experts, the creative thinking test instrument was tested on 17 students who had taken environmental physics lectures, while the prototype was tested by a marine engineering laboratory at a university in Bandung. Experts’ validity data were analyzed using content validity ratio, while the test instrument data were calculated for reliability, validity, discrimination and difficulty levels. Based on the results of expert validation, all products are feasible to be implemented. Based on the test results that the prototype developed functions well, while for the test instrument of 10 questions developed only 8 questions were eligible to be used. All of product that produced can be used as a reference and reference for lecturers or teachers who develop learning about renewable energy as well as equip students with creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is a quasi experimental research that aims to determine the differences and the improvement of mastery of physics concepts in the classroom using contextual teaching materials that integrated local wisdom with classes using conventional teaching materials. The research design used was pretest posttest control group design. Both the experimental and control classes are given equal treatment, but the experimental class uses contextual teaching materials that integrate local wisdom while the control class uses conventional teaching materials. The number of students in the experimental class is 25 students while the control class is 30 Students. The data analysis used parametric statistics with a two tailed t test to determine the difference and the N-gain test to find out the improvement of student conceptualization. The two tailed t test used SPSS 20 software assistance in the data analysis process. Based on result of data analysis that obtained Sig value. (2-tailed) by 0.000 <0.01 (α = 1%). This shows that there is a very significant difference between physics learning through problem solving method using contextual teaching materials with physics learning through problem solving using conventional teaching materials. In addition, based on the N-gain calculation the average value of  N-gain for the experimental class is 0.87 with the high category whereas the average value of N-gain for the control class is 0.65. This shows that the experimental class where the physics learning using materials Contextual teaching has increased the mastery of the concept higher than the control class that uses conventional teaching materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada materi fluida statis di SMA/MA. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 4-D dengan desain uji cobaone group pretest-posttest design.Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan pengamatan, angket dan tes. Perangkat pembelajaran diberikan pada22siswa kelasXI semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dilihat dari terlaksananya RPP sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapanyang telah direncanakan; 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Hasil belajar siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan setelah diberikan perlakuan, (b) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa

Abstract

One of the factors that have become an obstacle in the development of techno-logy to use ocean wave energy as a renewable energy source is the lack of human resources who have expertise in this field. Therefore, in the long term, it is necessary to introduce basic knowledge to the young generation about wave energy and other renew-able energies and even must equip them with important skills such as creative thinking skills. This study aims to introduce students to how to utilize ocean waves as renewable energy while at the same time developing student creative thinking skills through semi-assisted project-based learning. This type of research is weak experiment research with one group pretest-posttest design research. The research was conducted on 31 pre-service physics physics teachers who were taking environmental physics lectures at a teacher training university in West Nusa Tenggara. The performance appraisal data were analyzed descriptively while the test result data were analyzed using the N-gain and the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained <g> = 0.725, which means that there was a high increase in students' mastery of the concept of using ocean waves as a renewable energy source. In addition, the results of the performance appraisal data (score > 3) indicated that at each stage of learning, students were provided with indicators of creative thinking skills with very satisfied categories. Therefore, it can be concluded that environmental physics lectures using semi-assisted project-based learning able to improve students' mastery of concepts and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The lack of technological innovation in the utilization of ocean wave energy as a renewable energy source is caused by a lack of public knowledge about this matter. Therefore, it needs to be introduced early, especially to pre-service teachers through innovative and fun learning. The aim of this study was to identify the responses of pre-service physics teachers about the learning program to introduce the concept of utilizing ocean wave energy. The research subjects were 31 sixth semester students who are taking environmental physics lectures in the physics education study program at one of the teachers' university in West Nusa Tenggara Province for the 2019/2020 academic year. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. All data collected were then analyzed simultaneously descriptively. The findings of this study showed that almost 90% pre-service physics teacher students agreed that the learning program had a positive impact on increasing interest, motivation, critical thinking skills, and creative thinking skills, and made them easier to solve problems and grow solid cooperation. Therefore, it can be concluded that pre-service physics teacher students agree to the use of semi-assisted project-based learning programs with contextual problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is describe the reflective thinking profile of pre-service physics teacher students in Earth physics lectures about Ocean climate. This research was conducted in the physics education study program in one of the Higher Education Institutions in NTB Province, with a total of 25 respondents who had taken the Earth Physics course. The technique used in data collection is the analysis of the physics course syllabus and two essay tests about climate material that integrated with indicators of reflective thinking ability from Dewey's framework. Based on the analysis of the syllabus, it was found that the syllabus applied to the subject of earth physics had not been oriented to the provision of certain skills including reflective thinking skills. In addition, based on data analysis that the average value for question 1 is 18.75 and question number 2 is 16.75 where the maximum average score is on the understanding aspect of 31 for question number 1 while the minimum average score on critical reflection aspect is 7. It means that pre-service physics teacher students have very low reflective thinking abilities in Earth Physics lectures on ocean climate.Keywords: Reflective thinking skills, Earth Physics Syllabus, Earth Physics Lecture

Abstract

Keterbatasan peralatan laboratorium dan alat bantu ajar sebagai media pembelajaran fisika dan pemahaman konsep membutuhkan penerapan pembelajaran yang efektif terhadap bahan sumber energi dengan bantuan alat peraga untuk mengembangkan prototipe pembangkit listrik tenaga gelombang laut (PLTGL) dengan sistem reduksi ganda yang dapat membantu siswa dan guru dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan memotivasi antusiasme siswa untuk belajar dengan bantuan prototipe alat bantu mengajar sebagai media pembelajaran yang kreatif, inovatif, menyenangkan dan berlaku. Materi sumber energi terbarukan dengan model pembelajaran dan pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimental, yang dilakukan di salah satu SMA di Kota Bima kelas XII MIPA untuk tahun akademik 2021/2022 dengan 50 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dokumentasi dan pertanyaan tentang penggunaan teknik uji statistik parametrik t-test varians yang disurvei. Hasil yang diperoleh adapun perbandingan data kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol adalah nilai rata-rata 91,46 : 67,73, varians 46,36 : 117,34 dan tingkat signifikan P (T< = t< = t) satu pihak = 1,406 x 10 - 12 : P (T< = t) dua pihak = 2,812 x 10 -12. Pemahaman siswa sangat baik setelah menggunakan alat peraga pengembangan prototipe, sehingga berdampak pada hasil belajar.
