Abstract

Makalah ini menyajikan desain pengklasifikasi dengan pendekatan jaringan neural (syaraf) yang didasarkan pada penggunaan metode Ekapentasi Maksimum (EM). Aturan keputusan pengklasifikasi Bayes menggunakan kesalahan minimum dalam klasifikasi citra gabungan  multi waktu. Dalam khasus ini, model jaringan neural perceptron multi lapis Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN), digunakan untuk mengestimasi nonparametrik probabilitas posterior suatu kelas. Korelasi temporal citra dihitung dengan probabilitas gabungan masing-masing kelas secara otomatis dengan menerapkan formula khusus yaitu algoritma ekspektasi maksimum dari citra multi waktu. Eksperimen dilakukan pada dua citra multi waktu yaitu citra Saguling yang diambil pada dua waktu yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil eksperimen pada dua daerah uji tersebut, dapat ditunjukkan bahwa tingkat akurasi pengklasifikasi PNN rata-rata lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model Propagasi Balik (BP), dan Ekepektasi Maksimum (EM)  dapat meningkatkan kemampuan suatu pengklasifikasi. Pengklasifikai PNN dengan menerapkan ekpektasi maksimum memiliki kemampuan pengenalan yang konsisten untuk citra multi waktu, dan juga konsisten untuk setiap pengenalan kategori kelas obyek. Metodologi klasifikasi yang diusulkan dapat memecahkan permasalahan multi  waktu secara efektif.KataKunci:Probabilistik Jaringan Syaraf, Ekspektasi Maksimm, Citra Multitemporal, Kelas Objek, Pengenalan  ABSTRACTThis paper presents a classifiers design of neural network approachbased on Expectations Maximum (EM), a Bayes classifier decision rule using the Minimum Error to clasify combined multi-temporal imageries. In this particular, multilayer perceptron neural network model with Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) is used for nonparametric estimation of posterior class probabilities. Temporal image correlation was calculated  automatically usingprior joint probabilities of each class by applying a special formula that is algorithm expectation maximum of multi-temporal imagery. Experiments wasperformed on two multi-temporal Saguling imagestakenat two different  epochs. Based on experimental results on two test areas, it can be shown that the average accuracy rate of PNN classifier is better than the Back Propagation (BP), and the Expectation Maximum (EM) can increase the classifiers ability. Multinomial PNN classifierapplying the maximum expected have a consistent recognition capability for multitemporal imagery, and also consistent for each object class category. Abstract

Motif discovery in DNA sequences is one of the most important issues in bioinformatics. Thus, algorithms for dealing with the problem accurately and quickly have always been the goal of research in bioinformatics. Therefore, this study is intended to modify the random projection algorithm to be implemented on R high performance computing (i.e., the R package pbdMPI). Some steps are needed to achieve this objective, ie preprocessing data, splitting data according to number of batches, modifying and implementing random projection in the pbdMPI package, and then aggregating the results. To validate the proposed approach, some experiments have been conducted. Several benchmarking data were used in this study by sensitivity analysis on number of cores and batches. Experimental results show that computational cost can be reduced, which is that the computation cost of 6 cores is faster around 34 times compared with the standalone mode. Thus, the proposed approach can be used for motif discovery effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

A video analysis experiment guide has been made on kinematics material using the pro logger program for prospective physics teachers. This study aims to see the results of the feasibility of an experimental guide. This research method uses design and development research (DDR). The guide is validated by user experts and material experts with an average value that can be sequentially 79.69% and 87.5%. So it can be concluded that this video analysis guide is acceptable and feasible to be used by students.

Abstract

The research on increasing the level of understanding of the kinetic theory of gases concepts for prospective physics teacher students through interactive demonstration methods with the help of a variety of visual media has been carried out. This study aims to determine the increase in the level of students’ understanding of the kinetic theory of gases concept through interactive demonstration methods with the help of various visual media. The method used was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 76 prospective physics teacher students at a university in the city of Makassar, South Sulawesi. The test instrument used was a concept understanding level test in the form of an essay consisted of three questions. The results showed that most of the students reached a complete understanding level of the kinetic theory of gases after attending a basic physics course through interactive demonstration methods with the help of various visual media. Thus, the level of students’ understanding of kinetic theory of gases concept has increased through interactive demonstration methods with the help of various visual media.

Abstract

Article presents critical thinking skills of in-service physics teachers (IPTs) and their behavior in online. This research is a survey that describes the profile of IPTs critical thinking skills and their behavior in online learning. This survey involved 46 IPTs of four semester at Open University in Indonesia. Data related to IPTs’ critical thinking were collected through the General Critical Thinking Test by Lauren Starkey, while the data related to IPTs’ critical thinking skills were collected through tests of critical thinking skills. Data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive technique. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was concluded that generally the IPTs’ critical thinking skills can be categorized dominated as low, while their behavior in online learning dominated only read and view the activities. The result of critical thinking skills and their behavior in online learning will be used as a reference in developing a problem based learning in the online physics learning context.

Abstract

The ability of the teacher to represent a concept using various types of representation is a critical competency. Teachers who have limited multiple representation abilities will not be able to provide a holistic and appropriate learning experience because students have different abilities in constructing their knowledge. This study aims to determine the multiple representation ability of Physics teacher by using instruments to test multiple representations on the topic of Newton’s law consisting of text representations, images, pictorial diagrams, tables, graphs, and mathematical equations. The subjects in this study were 30 high school Physics teachers in North Maluku who were determined based on the purposive sampling technique. Data on multiple teacher representation abilities were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the data analysis showed that the multi-representation ability of high school physics teachers in Newton’s law concept was in the medium category (55.7%) with the highest achievement occurring in the type of mathematical representation and the lowest in the pictorial diagram representation types for both female and male teachers. Besides, based on data implemented using SPSS 2.0, it can be concluded that there are no significant differences with the ability of teacher’s multi-representation based on gender and teacher’s teaching experience.

Abstract

 Steganography is a technique of hiding a secret or confidential information in another message so that other people are not aware of the existence of a hidden message. In order for hidden messages or information that it's safer to use the science of cryptography for data encryption. So that the data or messages can not be understood by an unauthorized person who managed to access the data. This application uses methodologies Rappid Guidelines for Application Engineering (Grapple), which consists of Requirement gathering, Analysis, Designs, Development, and Deployment. This application was built using the Java programming language with tools NetBeans IDE 7.0. The algorithm used in this application is the steganography algorithms Least Significant Bit and cryptographic algorithms Vigenere Cipher. The final results of this study is an application of steganography in images by using the method of least significant bit (LSB) and vigenere that can be run on a computer. The image can be used in this application is the image format JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP. This application can insert text in the image and can perform encryption and decryption at the message you want to insert.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitin ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar nilai ekonomi yang dihasilkan dari komoditi tanaman tumpang sari dan mengetahui profil usaha tumpang sari pada lahan hutan di hutan rakyat Tembong Podol Desa Rambatan Kecamatan Ciniru. Metode pengumpulan data dikumpulkan dengan mengadakan pengamatan langsung terhadap objek yang diteliti, survey lapangan dan pengukuruan objek yang diteliti. melakukan tanya jawab secara langsung terhadap responden, pejabat setempat dan pemimpin formal maupun informasi desa. Wawancara dilakukan dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan/kuisioner terstruktur dan tidak terstruktur mengenai hal-hal yang masih berhubungan dengan penelitian. Pendapatan yang dihasilkan dari tanaman tumpang sari oleh petani tidak memiliki acuan tertentu dalam menentukan besarnya nilai rupiah yang dihasilkan, karena jumlah tanaman yang di tanam serta lahan garapan yang menjadi ruang hidup bagi tanaman tumpang sari tidak selalu berubah-ubah sesuai dengan pola tanam yang digunakan. Oleh sebab itu perhitungan nilai pendapatan dari tanaman tumpang sari hanya dapat di perkirakan melalui hasil panen yang sudah ada. Usaha Hutan Rakyat di lokasi penelitian yang ditumpangsarikan dengan beberapa komoditi seperti bawang, jahe, mangga, singkong dan jagung telah menambah penghasilan bagi petani untuk setiap musim tanamnya. produksi untuk jenis komoditas yang paling besar adalah jenis Jahe yaitu sebesar 921,88 Kg/Ha dengan pendapatan sebesar Rp 921.875/Ha Sedangkan untuk jenis komoditas dengan produksi paling rendah adalah jenis jagung dengan jumlah produksi sebesar 363,64 Kg/Ha dengan pendapatan sebesar Rp 909.091/Ha. Terdapat 7 jenis tanaman tumpang sari yang di garap oleh 11 orang petani desa Rambatan pada lahan hutan rakyat di peroleh pendapatan bersih dari komoditi tumpang sari tersebut sebesar Rp 60.180.000 setiap satu kali musim panen. Komoditi terbesar berasal dari jenis tanaman bawang, yaitu sebsar Rp 30.500.000 dan komoditi terendah berasal dari jenis tanama singkong yaitu sebesar Rp 250.000. Abstract

The study was aimed at determining the effectiveness of learning using TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) framework in helping the change of reasoning patterns and modes of Biology prospective teachers so that it facilitates in encompassing the Embryology as one of abstract concepts. The subjects used were 49 students of Biology teachers who were having a contract in Embryology course in Biology Education Study Program, in a private educational institute in Bandung. The research design used was quasi-experimental with time-series design type.  The measurement of the level of reasoning ability, patterns, and modes of the students were done through the Test of Logical Thinking (ToLT) three times (before the learning program takes place, after learning the first four main subjects, and after the learning program was over). The results showed that the Embryology learning with TPACK framework could directly change the from concrete and transitional reasoners categories to formal reasoners. The learning with TPACK framework also influenced the shift of the students’ logical thinking modes; from the ownership of proportional and/or correlational mode to the ownership of two or three reasoning modes between proportional, probability, correlational, and combinatorial, except the variable control mode.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas virtual lab berbasis STEM sebagai media praktikum alternatif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dengan perbedaan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one Group pretest-posttest yang terdiri dari kelas 7B dengan jumlah siswa 29 orang perempuan dan kelas 7D dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang laki-laki. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, angket, dan tes. Efektivitas virtual lab berbasis STEM dianalisis dengan Independent-samples t test kemudian dihitung nilai effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil peningkatan literasi sains siswa kelas perempuan (7B) sebesar 0,46  dan kelas laki-laki (7D) sebesar 0,29 dengan keduanya dalam kategori sedang. Nilai effect size penggunaan virtual lab berbasis STEM pada domain konten dan kompetensi sains sebesar 0,39 dengan kategori sedang dan domain sikap sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi Kata kunci: virtual lab, STEM, literasi sains, gender Stem-Based Virtual Lab Effectiveness in Improving the Scientific Literacy of Students with Gender Differences AbstractThis study aimed to know theeffectiveness of STEM-based virtual lab in improving the scientific literacy of students by gender differences.The design of this research one group pretest-posttest consisting of class 7B by the number of students 29 women and 7D class by the number of students 30 men.The data Ade collected through questionnaires, observations, and tests. The effectiveness of STEM-based virtual lab was analyzed through Independent-samples t test then calculated the value of effect size. the results showed that there are differences the resulting increase inscientific literacy class students women (7B) of 0.46 and a class of men (7D) of 0.29 with both of them in the medium category.The value of effect size using STEM-based virtual lab on the science content domain and competencies of 0.39 with the moderate category and attitude domain of 0.75 to a high category.Keywords: virtual lab, STEM, Scientific literacy, gender
