Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a mathematics material based on high order thinking skills in improving the logical thinking skills of junior high school students. The material in this resource is ‘SOLID” for junior high school students of class VIII. This research is research and development. The development model used includes potential problems, information gathering, product design, design validation, design improvements, product trials, and product revisions. The test of validity and practicality of the product is assessed by experts, teachers and students. The final product trial was conducted in several schools in Banten province. Effectiveness is tested using inferential statistical by looking at the significant difference of pretest and post-test value regarding students' logical thinking skills. The results showed that the product of development results including the category is very valid according to the experts, practically according to the assessment of teachers and students. The resulting product was also effective according to the mean difference test showing that there were significant differences before and after the teaching materials were given at a significance level of 5%.

Abstract

This design and development research was motivated by the rapid expansion and use of GeoGebra by mathematics educators (teachers and lecturers) in Indonesia. One of GeoGebra features is GeoGebra Applet that can be used, modified, and/or developed by educators for dynamic and interactive mathematics teaching and learning. At the time of research project, there is no GeoGebra Applets closely linked and aligned to the Indonesia national curriculum. The availability would be benefit for mathematics teaching and learning aligned to this curriculum. This research proceeds through seven steps of the Need, Capability, and Analysis (NCA) Model of Design and Development: 1) User Need Analysis; 2) Researcher as Developer Capability; 3) GeoGebra Applets Design; 4) GeoGebra Applets Development; 5) Experts Judgements; 6) Field testing in its Natural Setting Environment; and 7) the Prototype. The field testing was conducted with 8th grade students in a junior high school. The field testing shows that the developed Quadrilateral GeoGebra Applets can work as expected in its purposed natural setting environment.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jme.9.1.4162.27-40

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi e-modul berbasis smartphone pada materi integral tak tentu berorientasi keterampilan abad ke-21 yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dari Borg dan Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi enam langkah. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa hasil skor validasi ahli materi sebesar 4.2 termasuk kategori valid, ahli media diperoleh 3.8 termasuk kategori valid dan guru matematika diperoleh 3.7 termasuk kategori valid. Sedangkan hasil efektivitas diperoleh dari persentase ketuntasan 70% dengan kategori tinggi, dan n-gain sebesar 0,7682 termasuk kategori interpretasi tinggi. Lebih jauh, hasil praktis diperoleh 44.55 jumlah rata-rata skor pernyataan yang termasuk kategori sangat praktis dan 39.80 jumlah rata-rata skor pernyataan yang termasuk kategori praktis. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan aplikasi e-modul berbasis smartphone merupakan media yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Abstract: The research aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective smartphone-based e-module applications 21st-century skills-oriented integral material. The Research method was developmental research (R&D) according to Borg and Gall which was modified into six steps. The results of the research show that the validity of material experts score is 4.2 (valid category), media experts obtained is 3.8 (valid category) and the mathematics teacher score is 3.7 (valid category). While the effectiveness results obtained from the percentage of completeness of 70% with a high category and n-gain of 0.7682 including the high interpretation category. As well as the practical results obtained 44.55 the average number of statements in the very practical category and 39.80 the average number of statements in the practical category. Based on these results it can be concluded that the development of smartphone-based e-module applications is a valid, practical, and effective medium.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa powerpoint interaktif yang berbasis kompetensi abad 21 pada materi segiempat kelas VII SMP/MTs semester genap. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD). Model pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan menurut Borg dan Gall yang meliputi tujuh langkah pokok, yaitu: analisis kebutuhan, kemampuan peneliti sebagai pengembang, produk yang dikembangkan, konsep produk, pengembangan produk, uji ahli dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian produk media pembelajaran berupa powerpoint interaktif berbantuan iSpring Suite 8 yang berbasis kompetensi abad 21 pada materi segiempat di kelas VII SMP/MTs. Hasil uji kelayakan media pembelajaran ini diperoleh berdasarkan data dari angket penilaian para ahli, yaitu ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli bahasa. Hasil dari ahli media yaitu 87,5%, dari ahli materi 80,62%, dari ahli bahasa 82,69%, semua penilaian para ahli mencapai kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan kepraktisan media pembelajaran diperoleh dari data angket penilaian guru matematika yang hasilnya didapat 77,5% mencapai kategori sangat layak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan media interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika berupa powerpoint berbantuan iSpring Suite 8 yang berbasis kompetensi abad 21 pada materi segiempat layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Pemerintah telah membuat program sertifikasi bagi guru dan dosen. Sertifikasi guru merupakan salah satu cara dalam dunia pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas, kompetensi dan profesionalitas guru. Pemerintah juga telah Investasi dalam teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) untuk meningkatkan pengajaran dan pembelajaran di sekolah. Kajian literatur ini untuk mengulas keberhasilan serifikasi, dan pembelajaran berbasis TIK dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam paper ini adalah literatur review yang berfungsi sebagai dasar untuk membahas hasil penelitian tentang sertifikasi dan pengajaran berbasis teknologi informasi terhadap kompetensi guru. Pencarian bahan kajian dari google schoolar dan beberapa data base lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program sertifikasi dan penguasaan TIK oleh guru mampu meningkatkan kompetensinya.

Abstract

Kinerja guru merupakan elemen penting dalam pendidikan karena penentu tinggi rendahnya kualitas pendidikan. Penilaian kinerja guru perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana hasil kerja guru dalam dunia Pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penilaian kinerja guru dengan menggunakan model Center for the Study of Evaluation-University of California in Los Angeles (CSE-UCLA). The approach used in this research is the qualitative approach, the method used is descriptive-qualitative with research design based on CSE-UCLA evaluation model. This evaluation study used interview techniques, questionnaires, and documentation for the benefit of data collection. Meanwhile, the research informant is a board member of the Islamic Village Foundation as the program owner, the head of the foundation and the principal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model penilaian kinerja guru dengan CSE-UCLA memudahkan dalam menilai kinerja guru.

Abstract

Mathematical communication ability is an essential part of mathematic and mathematic education. This mathematical communication is useful for students to turn an idea into an object of thought. Beside that, one of the psychological or affective aspects is self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to describe the extent to which a person's self-efficacy can determine students' mathematical communication ability, especially in junior high school. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year at SMP Negeri 1 Cilegon.The research subjects in this study were 20 students of class VIII E based on the high, medium and low self-efficacy categories for conducting tests and interviews.
