Abstract

The main objective of this study is to identify and formulate the strengths of character and virtue, according to Ibn Miskawaih and Imam Al-Ghazali. The study was carried out with a qualitative approach with the type of literature review, by tracing both books, especially journals related to the strength of character and virtues formulated by positive psychology. The data analysis was carried out in a descriptive-reflective-introspective way with the perspective of Islamic psychology. The results of the study show that in terms of the number and composition of the strengths of character and values of virtue developed by positive psychology and the psychology of Islamic education, which in this case is represented by the thoughts of Ibn Miskawaih and Imam Al-Ghazali, are not significantly different. There is little difference between the strength of the character of positive psychology and the psychology of Islamic education. The difference is that there is a middle point or middle way in the thoughts of Ibn Miskawaih and Imam Al-Ghazali. The shari'ah commands this midpoint or middle path; the goal is to achieve an intermediate path to all the qualities and qualities of virtue; if it deviates towards one of the two extremes, then it must be corrected. These findings can provide a valuable contribution to guidance and counseling services through strengthening character and virtue in the current era of global communication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the role of public relations in develoving school’s image of SMK Negeri 3 Sampit.LPPThe type of this study is qualitative descriptive research. The study subjects consists of 4 informants namely Principal, vise principal of public relation, teacher, and committee. The techniques of collecting data are using interviews, observation, and documentation. The analyzing data are by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The data validity procedure are using triangulation techniques sources and methods.The results showed that the implementation of the role of public relations in order to build the image of SMK Negeri 3 Sampit as a whole has gone well, to external and internal public. The media used in publicizing information and attracting public interest in SMK Negeri 3 were directly and indirectly, such as oral, print media (brochures, newspaper Radar Sampit, and smart magazines), online media (facebook and website, Whats App), Broadcasting media (radio and television), special events (carrying out promotions to junior high schools coordinated by public relations), and installing banners on certain streets.

Abstract

There is an interesting phenomenon in mushalla Al-Kautsar MAN Kotawaringin Timur, Central Kalimantan at each first break. Not a few students and students come to the mushalla to perform Dhuha prayer, which is one of the sunnah prayers performed around the sun begins to rise until the time of Dhuhr. The students came one by one to the mushalla, took ablution water and performed Dhuha prayers between two and eight rak'ahs. This phenomenon shows the growth and development of students' spiritual attitudes, which at the next level grow and develop also the social attitudes of students. So that the strength of character of the students of MAN Kotawaringin Timur. The issues raised in this study are: first; what is the motivation of students to perform Dhuha prayers. Second; what character strengths appear in students after diligently performing Dhuha prayers? The methodology used in this study relies on the paradigm of social definition, with verstehen (interpretative understanding) method. While the approach used is phenomenological approach. The results of this study showed that the motivation of students to perform Dhuha prayers include: to draw closer to God, to feel calm, to refresh the body. The strength of character that arises include: courage, integrity, hope, vitality, and spirituality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan keluarga terhadap minat belajar internal anak di SD Negeri 1 Ramban Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada pengaruh lingkungan keluarga terhadap minat belajar internal anak di SD Negeri 1 Ramban Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan korelasional dengan populasi berjumlah 118 siswa yang terdiri dari siswa Kelas 4, 5, dan 6 SD Negeri 1 Ramban Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa yang diambil 50% dari jumlah populasi dengan teknik stratified proportional random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana yang telah terpenuhi uji prasyarat analisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh nilai t_hitung sebesar 9,5200 > t_tabel sebesar 2,00172, sehingga hipotesis yang diajukan diterima, maka ada pengaruh lingkungan keluarga terhadap minat belajar internal anak di SD Negeri 1 Ramban Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Variabel lingkungan keluarga berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar internal dengan kontribusi R Square sebesar 61%.

Abstract

This study was conducted to know how self-efficacy to the eight grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sampit in the Academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this study were all eight grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sampit in the Academic year of 2016/2017, amounting to 259 students. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling technique in which the samples were was 77 students. Data collection techniques used by is questionnaire. Data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The research shows most students have efficacy in the learning process at medium category in the amount of 51 respondents (66.23%) consisting of 27 male respondents and 24 female respondents. For the group of respondents who have low self-efficacy categories were 10 respondents (12.99%), which consists of six respondents male and 4 female respondents. And only 16 respondents (20.78%) consisting of one male respondents and 15 female respondents who have high self-efficacy. Self-efficacy the eight grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sampit, most tend to have self-efficacy with categories were as many as 51 respondents with a percentage of 66.23%.

Abstract

Self regulation is self-management in achieving a goal in the situation of various activities. The purpose of this study was to determine self-regulation of high achieving students. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection in this study uses the interview method and the problem checklist model. The better the level of self-regulation of individuals, the better in managing themselves to achieve predetermined goals. The results of the study showed that the self regulation of one of the outstanding students was included in the good category. This means that the student has been able to manage himself and direct his thoughts and actions to achieve goals including achievement.

Abstract

Cybercounseling services are considered very suitable for reaching students who need help, because many students experience problems when learning to be brave during the Covid-19 pandemic. The focus of this research is about the problems faced by students during courageous learning, and about cybercounseling carried out by guidance and counseling teachers in an effort to overcome the problems faced by these students. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with the research subjects being students of the East Kotawaringin Madrasah Aliyah (MAN), which is referred to as 35 people. The interview method used interview data through the What's App application when counseling was conducted, and data analysis used a qualitative descriptive method. Problems that arise from students during learning during the Covid-19 emergency are quite diverse, starting from internal factors and internal factors. The presence of cybercounseling conducted by guidance and counseling teachers provides valuable meaning for students to facilitate students to be able to make behaviour changes, construct thoughts, develop the ability to cope with life situations during this pandemic, make decisions that affect them, and succeed. learn the learners.

Abstract

The condition of the spiritual and social attitude among the students, especially students in Indonesia are Muslim, presumably enough concern. If for a moment we see the condition of the Congregation to pray in the mosque and there was very rarely, mushalla teens ages junior high and senior high school students active in the prayer congregation. Similarly, in terms of social attitudes, it is not uncommon to cause conflict and strife, even to a brawl which led to the death. These conditions encourage the Government to incorporate aspects of spiritual and social attitudes as the must-have competencies in the curriculum learners 2013. It is, therefore, a problem that wants to be revealed in this study is what efforts should be done to develop the spiritual attitude of and social students? Among the efforts to develop the spiritual and social attitude of the learners is through positive psychology review. To develop attitudes of spirituality are: (1) familiarize prayer is Dhuhr Congregation; (2) organized a prayer Friday; (3) the movement comes to the mosque;  (4) hold a prayer lesson matriculation and reading Qur'an. To develop the attitude of grateful are: (1) get used to say thanks;  (2) make a list of grateful; (3) make a list of the names of the people who are supposed to be delivered thanks; (4) make thank you greeting cards; (5) class grateful; and (6) if I become. Whereas in order to develop the attitude of honesty are: (1) individual tasks or Deuteronomy honestly; (2) hold honesty. To develop the character of the apology were: (1) build self-awareness in students that the man did not escape the error: (2) write a letter of apology; and (3) organize apologizing class

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the lack of understanding of students towards self-understanding and their careers. For example, choosing a major or further study because of joining peers or the choice of parents only, then the student cannot be responsible for their future, or study in the majors that is not match their abilities, ultimately causing decreased performance, even causing the student to be expelled in college because of below-average grades. This research aims to present data related to career mapping using career inventory media for class VIII B Girls, VIII A Boys, and IX B Girls. This research used descriptive qualitative method, with the main data of career inventory tabulation and supporting data obtained through library research. Sampling technique in this research is stratified sampling with subjects in class VIII B female, VIII A male, and IX B female. The results of this research indicate the dynamics of personality classification and work interest with a career inventory in the form of students with realistic work personalities 1 student, intellectual 15 students, social 8 students, conventional 14 students, business 2 students, and artistic 8 students. While the work interests are outdoor 2 students, mechanical 5 students, computational 6 students, science 6 students, persuasive 3 students, artistic 9 students, literary 3 students, musical 7 students, social 6 students, and clerical 1 student. Through this research, data on factors that influence the choice of majors or further studies as part of each student's future career plans are presented.

Abstract

Gratitude is teaching about morality that concerns all aspects of human life. This study aims to determine the spiritual values of gratitude in the Qur'an in relation to character in Islamic education. Through a subjective-cum-objective hermeneutic approach, the research results show that gratitude contains several character values that are needed in Islamic education. These character values include, amanah, qonā'ah, istiqāmah, tawāḍu', tawakal, optimistic, creative, hard work and social care. The results of this study indicate that gratitude is the main character that contains religious and social character values based on belief and faith in God. These character values are needed in achieving the goals of Islamic education.
