Abstract

This study aims to find out the problems that often hinder the development of SMEs in Deli Serdang in competitive advantage, especially in the face of the MEA, it is necessary for a strategy for creating a competitive advantage in the era of the MEA. Many strategies to create competitive advantage and one generic strategy Porter. This strategy gives success in the company so that the researcher wants to adoption Porter generic strategies for SMEs, especially in Deli Serdang The object of this research is the small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Deli Serdang. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews / structured interviews and data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the strategy porter through indicators five forces porter which includes competition among similar companies, the threat of new entrants, threat of substitute products, bargaining power of buyers and the bargaining power of suppliers is still included in the category enough or moderate, indicating the presence of obstacles or problems faced by SMEs in Deli Serdang. Besides the five forces porter indicator, additional supporting indicators such as innovation and technological capabilities as well as the governments attention is also included in the category enough or moderate, indicating that the supporting indicators are still facing obstacles or problems

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between corporate motivation, entrepreneurs knowledge and corporate independent and the performance of entrepreneur. A survey was conducted at the small industry in Medan town, with a sample of 45 selected randomly.The research concludes that there are positive correlation between : 1) the corporate motivation and the performance of entrepeneur, 2). The entrepreneurs knowledge and the performance of entrepeneur, 3) the corporate independent and the performance of entrepreneur there is not positive correlation between, 4) Moreover there is a positive correlation between the corporate of motivation, entrepreneurs knowledge, and corporate independent with the performance of entrepreneurs.

Abstract

The classic problem that cannot be denied and that continually plagued some Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), is the problem of capital, which resulted in not maximally expected goals. Some qualified SMEs can use Banking services to meet their business capital needs and not many SMEs also uses informal financial institutions in this case are moneylender services for their business capital, although we know that the set interest rate is relatively higher than Bank, but because the procedures and requirements are easier then some SME actors use informal financial institutions or moneylender service. This study aims to provide input and development of the most relevant credit channel model that can assist some SMEs in fulfilling their business capital in Deli Serdang Regency, and it is expected that the government and other stakeholders should focus on solving the problem. However, the SME sector is one of the supporters of economic growth in an area, especially in Deli Serdang Regency. This research uses Research and Development (R & D) method. Data collection techniques in general using field study with the dissemination of the instrument (questionnaire) research to the sample in this case SMEs in Deli Serdang District. Data analysis Research instruments that have been collected will be analyzed using descriptive analysis method. Of the only 70 entrepreneurs who were respondents, only 10.9% believed that the capital owned was sufficient to develop the business, 64.6% said they still need an injection even though they have and 24.6%, even said the capital injection is a very urgent need for the sake of continuity of his business.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis apakah ada pengaruh antara Non Performing Loan (NPL) dan Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap Profitabilitas (ROA) pada perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI).Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan asosiatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di BEI yaitu berjumlah 31 perusahaan. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah bejumlah 13 perusahaan. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Non Performing Loan (NPL) dan Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), sedangkan varibel dependen nya adalah Profitabilitas (ROA).Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Sementara itu teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda, uji asumsi klasik, uji hipotesis (uji t dan uji F) dan koefisien determinasi. Pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan program Software SPSS (Statistic Package for the Social Sciens) 20 for windows.Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa Non performing Loan (NPL) secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap Return On Asset (ROA). Namun Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) tidak berpengaruh terhadap Ruturn On Asset (ROA). Sedangkan secara simultan penelitian membuktikan bahwa Non Performing Loan (NPL) dan Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) berpengaruh terhadap Return On Asset (ROA) pada perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di BEI.

Abstract

Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa profitabilitas dan tingkat pertumbuhan penjualan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal secara simultan pada PTPN III (Persero) Medan tahun 2008-2012.  Besarnya nilai -nya 0,702. Jika nilai  mendekati 1 maka variabel bebas semakin kuat pengaruhnya terhadap variabel dependen. Hal ini menunjukkan besaran pengaruh variabel profitabilitas dan tingkat pertumbuhan penjualan adalah sebesar 0,702 atau 70,2% dan sisanya sebesar 29,8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Indonesia has entered a new phase with partners in the neighboring countries, especially ASEAN members, namely ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) on December 31, 2015. One of the main pillars of AEC is free flow of goods, trade in goods in 2015 is conducted freely without barriers, both tariff and non-tariff. AEC implement schemes Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) that have previously been applied when the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), namely gradual tariff reductions made for certain types of goods carried in the timeframe that has been agreed. This study aims to find out the problems that often hinder the development of SMEs in Deli Serdang Regency in competitive advantage, especially in the face of the AEC, it is necessary for the existence of a strategy to create competitive advantage in the era of AEC. Many strategies to create competitive advantage and one generic strategy Porter. This strategy gives success in the company so that researchers want to adopt Porter generic strategies for MSMEs, especially in Deli Serdang. Objects in this study is micro, small and medium enterprises in the district of Deli Serdang. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews / structured interviews and data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the strategy porter through indicators five forces porter that include competition among similar companies, the threat of new entrants, the threat of substitute products, bargaining power of buyers and bargaining power of suppliers is still included in the category enough or moderate, it indicates the presence of obstacles or problems faced by SMEs in Deli Serdang.
