Abstract

Penyambungan (grafting) merupakan salah satu upaya untuk memperbaiki sifat tanaman menggunakan bahan klonal baik pada fase pembibitan, pemeliharaan maupun rehabilitasi. Keragaan sifat kopi Robusta dapat diperbaiki melalui penyambungan intraspesifik (Robusta/Robusta) untuk menghasilkan produktivitas yang lebih tinggi atau melalui penyambungan interspesifik (Arabika/Robusta) untuk menghasilkan kopi Arabika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi kopi grafting dibandingkan dengan kopi non-grafting dan (2) mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi kopi grafting Arabika interspesifik dibandingkan dengan Arabika non-grafting. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Harapan Jaya, Kecamatan Way Ratai, Kabupaten Pesawaran, Lampung. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan enam sistem penyambungan dengan empat ulangan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini yaitu: P1=Robusta non-grafting, P2= Arabika non-grafting, P3= grafting Robusta/Robusta metode tak-ent, P4= grafting Arabika/Robusta + cabang, P5= grafting Arabika orthrotrop/Robusta, P6= grafting Arabika plagiotrop/Robusta. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kopi Robusta klon lokal Mekarsari, sedangkan untuk jenis kopi Arabika menggunakan varietas Kartika. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji lanjut yaitu Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing masing perlakuan berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel jumlah cabang primer, jumlah cabang plagiotrop (B0, B1, dan B2), jumlah dompol bunga per cabang, jumlah dompol putik per cabang, jumlah dompol buah hijau per cabang, jumlah dompol buah merah per cabang, bobot buah segar per cabang, bobot biji kering per cabang, jumlah biji panen per cabang, dan produksi per pohon. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa: (1) pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kopi grafting lebih tinggi daripada tanaman non-grafting, (2) dari berbagai sistem penyambungan kopi Arabika grafting interspesifik, perlakuan Arabika plagiotrop/Robusta menghasilkan pertumbuhan yang sama tetapi memberikan produksi biji lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan Arabika lainnya.

Abstract

Lampung is a center for maize and cattle production. This study aims to determine (1) the dosage of liquid bio-slurry fertilizer which is effective in increasing the growth and yield of maize, (2) the correct split application time of liquid bio-slurry, (3) the interaction between the dose of liquid bio-slurry fertilizer and time of split application on the growth and yield of maize. The research was conducted in Fajar Baru Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) that arranged in factorial (4x2) with three replications. The first factor was the dosage of liquid bio-slurry organic fertilizer, namely 0 (control), 25, 50, and 75 l/ha. The second factor was the application time with 2 splits (2 and 4), and 3 splits (2, 4, and 6 weeks after planting, WAP). The results showed that: (1) The dose of liquid bio-slurry organic fertilizer 50 l/ha was effective in increasing plant growth and yield by producing stover dry weight of 57.17 g and dry shelled weight per harvest plot of 1.052 g/m2 or equivalent to 10.52 ton/ha; (2) application time of liquid bio-slurry organic fertilizer twice (2 and 4 WAP) or three times (2, 4, and 6 WAP) had no significant effect; (3) there was no interaction between the dosage of liquid bio-slurry organic fertilizer and application time on the growth and yield of maize. Keywords: bio-slurry, corn, dossage, liquid, split application

Abstract

One of the herbicides that can be used to control weeds on corn cultivation is the atrazine herbicide. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of atrazine in controlling weeds in corn, to determine whether there was a change in the composition of weeds in corn after application of the atrazine, and to determine whether the use of atrazine herbicide could cause phytotoxicity and inhibit growth and reduce corn yield. The research was conducted on farmer's land in Hajimena Village, Natar District, South Lampung Regency and Weed Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung from November 2019 to March 2020. The research was arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications and six treatments, namely the herbicide atrazine doses of 1,20 kg/ha,1,80 kg/ha, 2,40 kg / ha, 3,00 kg / ha, manual weeding, and control. The results showed that atrazine herbicide doses of 1,20-3,00 kg/ha were effective to control of weeds total on corn area up to 6 weeks after application, atrazine herbicide caused change on weed composition of Richardia brasiliensis become Calopogonium mucunoides at 3 and 6 weeks after application, and the application of atrazine herbicide doses of 1,20–3,00 kg/ha did not cause phytotoxicity, inhibit corn growth, and decrease yields. Keywords: atrazine, weed, herbicide, corn
