Abstract

Ibn Hazm is one of Muslim thinkers who is famous for his philosophical thoughts. One of his philosophical thoughts is concerned with epistemology of science. In his view, the truth of science can be obtained through reason and senses.  Senses can comprehend the real objects while reason comprehend the abstract ones. He asserts, however, that reason faculty is higher than sense faculty since the later usually makes mistakes in understanding an object. Abstract

This article deals with the concept of education evaluation from the Qur’anic perspective. Evaluation is a popular term much used in education to know a student’s performance in education. In this context, in the Qur’an, we also find  some terms that have similar  meaning with evaluation. For example, al-inba’, al-hisab, al-bala, al-nadzar, al-wazn, al-fitnah al-taqdir . These terms are used by the Qur’an to evaluate God’s servants, either  those who believe or disbelieve in God. To know further, how and in which context the Qur’an uses those terms, the usages of the terms are elaborated in this article.Kata Kunci: evaluasi pendidikan, Alquran, al-fitnah, al-hisab, al-wazn, al-taqdir

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to describe the social skills in class VII SMP 29 Pekanbaru through the implementation of Whole Brain Teaching strategy. The expected benefits of this research for the basis of further determine the success of students using many different learning approaches. This study was conducted in SMP 29 Pekanbaru in November 2015. The subjects were students VII6 totaling 42 students. The form of this research are used pre-experimental design form the One Shot Case Study. Data collection tools in this study was the social skills observation sheet. The results were obtained based on the indicators of social skills, they are; to encourage participation; taking turns and sharing of tasks; active listening, students have the social skills that are still categorized each meeting with the average percentage of each indicator to increase as high. It is possible with a whole brain teaching strategies can practice social skills class VII SMP 29 Pekanbaru on substances that change the subject and closed it.Key Words: Social Skills Student, Whole Brain Teaching, Descriptive Analysis

Abstract

Subgrade is an important part in road pavement construction, which serves as the foundation and must have the ability to bear the traffic load applying on the surface of the pavement. This study examined changes in the carrying capacity of soft soil after stabilization process using asphalt emulsion. The results of this study indicate that the stabilization process using asphalt emulsion can lower the Plasticity Index and increase the dry density and strength of the soil.Keywords: subgrade, stabilization, asphalt emulsion, Plasticity Index, dry density, soil strength.

Abstract

Hasil pengujian pada lapisan Subgrade yang dilakukan di ruas jalan tol Cisumdawu khususnya pada STA 13+500 tergolong pada jenis tanah ekspansif. Kondisi Subgrade tersebut jika tidak segera diperbaiki maka dapat mengakibatkan berbagainya jenis kerusakan pada perkerasannya. Dalam penelitian perbaikan Subgrade yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan metode stabilisasi dengan Abu Batok Kelapa Sawit dan Spent Catalyst RCC 15. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana pengaruh penambahan Abu Batok Kelapa Sawit dan Spent Catalyst RCC 15 terhadap kembang susut dan daya dukung sebagai lapisan Subgrade konstruksi perkerasan ruas jalan tol Cisumdawu. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa kesimpulan yaitu (1) Terjadi  penurunan nilai untuk kadar air optimum, Plasticity Index, Swelling Potential dan Swelling Pressure. (2) Terjadi Kenaikan nilai untuk Berat Isi Kering, CBR Unsoaked, CBR Soaked, CBR Peram, Permeabilitas, Ca-dd dan K-dd. (3) Tercapainya campuran bahan stabilisasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai perbaikan Subgrade pada tanah ekspansif untuk standar minimal Subgrade lapisan perkerasan jalan. (4) Belum tercapainya nilai yang optimum pada campuran bahan stabilisasi yang digunakan terhadap perubahan nilai karakteristik Subgrade. (5) Hasil pengujian secara statistik yang dilakukan didapatkan suatu hubungan yang yang berarti secara statistic.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the results of cognitive learning physics outcome through the implementation of accelerated learning MASTER type model in SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UR Pekanbaru. The type of research is pre experimental, with a comparison group design intact. The subjek of this research is XI TKJ class with 22 students which used implementation with accelerated learning MASTER type learning model, and XI RPL class with 26 students that used conventional learning classes. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively. Based on the result of cognitive learning of students in the class implementation of accelerated learning MASTER type are in the very good category with persentse 85.22% whereas, in the conventional classroom learning cognitive the category good with the percentage 76.36%. It can be concluded that science teaching physics with accelerated learning MASTER type learning model can improve cognitive achievement of students in the temperature and heat material in SMK Labor Binaan FKIP UR Pekanbaru.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Accelerated Learning MASTER Type, Temperature and Heat

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement of cognitive science learning outcomes of Physics through the application of PIL module (Physics, I'M In Love). The type of this research used Quasi Experimental with in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. The sample of the research was the students of class VIII 1 as the experimental class and the students of class VIII 4 as the control class. Test of cognitive learning outcomes was use to obtain the data by given to the sample as pretest and postest. Descriptive and inferential analysis were use to analyse the data. The results showed that students' average ability (daya serap) rate by the application of PIL module was better than conventional teaching method. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of PIL module can improve student learning outcomes in physics science lesson in light and optical instrument material at SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.Keywords: PIL Module, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to empirically analyze PIL (Physics, I’m in Love) as a physics learning module at junior high school. This research type using Research and Development (R&D) method in stage of a limited scale product trial. The subject of this research is the eighth grade students in SMPN 5 Pekanbaru. The data of this research is a module assessment score which is given to 37 respondents through a questionnaire. The respondents consisted of 13 mens and 24 womens as users. Furthermore, the data were analyzed for validity test through product moment correlation technique and reliability test through cronbach’s alpha technique using microsoft excel and SPSS program. The result of data analysis obtained the assessment score validity which is given respondents to the module PIL is greater than r table (> 0,325) based on the validity of each item, each indicator, and gender. While the reliability value of modul PIL is greater than 0,7 thas is 0,827. It can be concluded that the empirical analysis based on result data and discussion module PIL is valid and reliable at display, pedagogy, content and technical indicators. In addition to valid and reliable indicators, the module PIL is also declared valid and reliable based on gender. So that module PIL (Physics, I’m in Love) can be used as a physics learning module at junior high school.Key Words: Empirical Analysis, Module PIL, Validity test, Reliability test

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of cognitive learning outcomes of Physics IPA through the application of cooperative learning model Probing Prompting type. This research is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of the study were the students of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The data collection instrument was a test of cognitive learning outcomes given to the sample as pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the average ability of students with the application of cooperative learning model Probing Prompting type is higher conventional learning. It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model Probing Prompting type can improve students’ learning outcomes of Physics IPA in Force in SMP Negeri 7 Tambang Kampar.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Probing Prompting Type, Cognitive Learning Outcomes
