Abstract

Abstract This study aims to increase students' interest toward drum band extracurricular activity in SMKN 2 Padang. This study was qualitative with using descriptive data processing. Data were collected based on the results of library research, observations and interviews. The instrument used in this study was the researcher and the supporting instruments used notebooks, stationery, photo cameras / cellphones, and song scores.Based on the result of the study, it is found that the efforts to increase students’ interest toward drum band extracurricular activity in SMK N 2 Padangwere carried out by using some ways, first, the trainer gives motivation tostudents, then practices by guided practice, and appoints a friend as a tutor to teach friends who are not good at song material. Then, supporting from the school by encouraging and completing facilities and infrastructures such as buying new musical instruments and finally, the support that are  given by parents to students. By doing some efforts that are made by the trainer and the school, the students’ interest increase to take part in this extracurricular activity. It can be seen from the number of students attendance at each meeting and how fast students in mastering the song material that is given by the trainer. Keywords: effort, student interest, extracurricular drum band activities

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the implementation of cultural arts learning activities in VII-A class in SMP Negeri 1 Sitiung whether in accordance with the prevailing curriculum. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps for analyzing data are studying all data, reducing data, presenting data. The results showed that the implementation of learning in SMPN Negeri 1 Sitiung has not used any interesting media. While in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) lead students to hear directly the songs that will be learned using electronic media. The teacher looks stammering read the song notation. Some Siswa–siswi class VII A SMPN Negeri 1 Sitiung still do not possess several indicators of learning objectives and do not understand the technique of singing well, it can be seen when students sing the song in the class. So in school should students also learn and practice Unisono singing at home, in order to get maximum results and objectives achieved. Keywords: Implementation of singing, Unisono, cultural arts

Abstract

Abstract The study aims to determine whether there are differences in students learning outcomes that is taught using audiovisual media with students learning outcomes without using audiovisual media in learning music art in SMA Negeri 12 Padang. The type of study was quantitative with experimental methods. The design in this study used Pretest-posttest control Group Design. Sample in this study was determined by cluster sampling technique, and samples were obtainedfrom class XI IPS 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPS2 as a control class. Both two variables, namely the use of audiovisual and conventional media, while therelated variables were students learning outcomes in cultural art subject. The data was obtained from multiple choice tests of western music material on the pretest and posttest. The validity test used theproduct momentformulaand the reliability test used the Alpha formula. Technique of data analysis was done by using t-test. Data was obtained from the pretest and posttest results.Then, it processes using Microsoft Excel 2010. The result of this study indicates that the learning outcomes of the experimental class that is using audiovisual media are better than the learning outcomes of the control class that is using conventional media. There is a significant difference between learning outcomes taught by using audiovisual media and learning outcomes that use conventional media in cultural art learning. This is evidenced by the t-test calculation values that is obtainedthat thitung= 2.208 and ttable= 2.012. The use of audiovisual media in cultural art learning can improve students learning outcomes for the better, this is evidenced from the increase in the average learning outcomes of experimental class students is 83.20 and the average control class is 77.609. Thus,it is obtained an average difference between the experimental and the control classesnamely 5.591. Keywords: Usage, AudioVisual Media, Cultural Art Learning.

Abstract

Abstract The type of studywas qualitative with using a descriptive analysis approach. The object of this study wasthe students of class VII 4. The instrument used in this study was the researcher as the main researcher and it was assisted by additional instruments such as a set of stationery and a photo camera. Techniques ofdata collection were doneby some ways such as doing literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. Meanwhile Techniques of data analysis were done by classifying primary and secondary data, and it was arranged systematically. The result shows that the students' interest in learning cultural artsin SMP N 1 Koto XI Tarusan is still relatively low. This is due to the way that the teacher in teaching is tedious, lack of motivation and encouragement, the teacher still uses the lecture method, as well as the factors that influence students' interest in learning cultural arts in SMP N 1 Koto XI Tarusan, namely 1) Internal factor (in students) which includes concentration and awareness of student learning. 2) External factors (outside of students) which includes teachers, family, environment and school factors. Keywords: interests, students, cultural arts

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Band learning in class XI students of the Department of Art Popular Music at SMK Negeri 7 Padang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, with the object of research namely Band learning in class XI students of the Department of Art Popular Music at SMK Negeri 7 Padang. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself, assisted by supporting instruments in the form of notebooks and mobile phones. Data collection techniques were carried out through library research, observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique is through the steps of data reduction, data presentation, analysis, and concluding. Based on the results of the study, it was found that Band learning in class XI of the Department of Art Popular Music was not running optimally, due to the lack of seriousness of students in carrying out the tasks given by the teacher, even though the implementation of learning carried out by the teacher was following the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). Factors that cause Band learning are not optimal because students do not have personal instruments, limited lesson hours during the pandemic, and lack of student motivation.

Abstract

This research aim to for the mendeskripsikan of extracurricular execution of Drumband in SMAN 3 Solok South District of Sangir. this Type Research is qualitative with descriptive method of analysis. Technique data collecting by book study, observation, interview, and documentation. Research Instrument is ownself constructively observation sheet perceiving activity of teacher/coach during activity take place. Technique analyse data by collecting primary data classification and of sekunder later;then process as according to device which have been made. Research finding that is performing a practice 1 times within a week every day Saturday, with select participant of class of X and of XI which have had ability play at Drumband during SMP. Abstract

This article aims to find out the competence of the teacher who educates Polytechnic music at SLB Negeri 2 Padang. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves and assisted with the instrument's supporters such as stationery, camera. The technique of data collection is done by way of observation, study of the literature and interviews. The data collected is done analysis with a variety of careful consideration so that the data can be achieved its object and can also be obtained by his righteousness, segingga can answer problems and then made into paper report form thesis. The results showed that the competence of the teachers in Polytechnic study pedagogy at SLB Negeri 2 Padang belongs either. Similarly, with the competence of personality. The teacher has a good personality as well as worthy of dicotoh or be a role model by the learners. Teachers also have the ability of good social as well as professional competence.  By mastering the four competencies of teachers, it can perform the nguru demands his profession as a good educator.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the song Biar Menjadi Kenangan. The type of this research is a qualitative research with a content analysis approach. The theory used wasanalyzing the song structure and form. The data were collected through literature study, observation, and labor work. Based on the analysis of the song Biar Menjadi Kenangan, it is found that the structure / form / period of the song Biar Menjadi Kenangan consists of 3 major parts, namely A, B, and C with periods A, A, B, C, A ', B, C, A ', B, C and C, while the phrases found are A (a, x) A (a, x) B (b, y) C (c, z) A (a, x') B (b, y) C ( c, z), A (x '), B (b, y), C (c, z) and C (c, z). Meanwhile, the motif processing is formed from m, n, and o motifs which are formed by 12 motifs.

Abstract

The data related to the topic above is collected through library research, observation, interview and documentation techniques.From the research results can be concluded that Art Inheritance Rabab Pasisie System in Nagari  Anakan  Koto  Nan  Duo  Kecamatan  Batang  Kapas  Kabupaten  Pesisir  Selatan, inherited enculturation. Abstract

This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The purpose of this study is to see the improvement of student learning outcomes taught by using Powerpoint Media in Teaching Traditional Music at SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. This research belongs to a Classroom Action Research. It is intended to solve problems in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes. The research used the Kemmis and Taggart model which consists of 2 cycles having 4 stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data were collected quantitatively to see learning outcomes, and were collected qualitatively to provide an overview of students' abilities in learning. Other data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation. The research was conducted in 2 meetings consisting of 2 cycles which were conducted face-to-face and online. Based on the results of the study, the average score got in cycle 1 is 73.03%, the score for classical absorption is 73.03%, and the score for mastery of learning is 21.87%. In the second cycle, the average value is 86.16%, classical absorption is 86.15%, and mastery learning is 84.37%. The percentage of student absorption in cycle II has increased by 13.12%. Based on this percentage, it can be seen that students have good success in the learning process using PowerPoint media in learning traditional music. Judging from the scores, students in grade VIII F have met the assessment standards which is 75. PowerPoint media can increase enthusiasm for student learning seen from the observation data and data analysis results in cycle I and cycle II. PowerPoint media can create innovative and creative learning so that learning objectives can be maximally achieved.
