Abstract

The Islamic Left was not born out of a vacuum. It is a manifestation of a particular social constructs. The Islamic Left is H}asan H}anafî’s thought which is based on his experiences. As to view the Islamic Left as a social reality, sociology of knowledge will be used. The sociology of knowledge not only rejects the notion that social reality is born from a vacuum, but it also analyzes the socially constructed reality, and how the reality was accepted by society as a fact. Therefore, the sociology of knowledge will analyze process of the formation of the Islamic Left as a social reality, and how the Islamic Left can be seen and accepted by society. In an objective reality, the Islamic Left is a discourse of thought of a particular experience with the aim of revolution. While in a subjective reality, the Islamic Left can be considered as an individual who was born at a time when human values are at stake in the history of life, either in a global context or in a context of Islam itself. Thus, it builds awareness that distinguishes him/herself psychologically with others. This study expects the ideas contained in the Islamic Left to be used widely to analyze different contexts so that the application of the Islamic Left ideas can be viewed.

Abstract

The Modern Age gave rise to secular ideology. Religionists got worry about religion that is getting out of the community of life. Research proves that secularization has revolutionized the religion of society with the traditions they carry. Turas (tradition) in this context is dogma, that is, something that has the truth and is based on religious texts. It can be either the text itself or the thought. In order to appreciate Turas as a dogma in the modern world, it must undergo a process of secularization. In this case, turats should be viewed live with the community and historic. Turas is not a transcendent element apart from the life of society. Hassan Hanafi and Khaled Abou el-Fadl received secularization and led him to revise the meaning of tura by using three approaches in reading turats, revolutions, transcendence, and hermeneutics. Secularization is not the abandonment of religious dogma but it reconstructs the appropriate meaning.

Abstract

Abstract: Haul is a tradition typical of Muslims in Indonesia. Although as a term, can be likened to haul in the tradition of pilgrimage of Muslims in general, but in Indonesia haul have different shapes and implementation in practice with the pilgrimage. This can be seen clearly as an institutionalized social activity. Meaning of pilgrimage as a reminder of death eventually not be the main objective in the implementation of the haul, although religious motives still underlie the practice. However haul relfeksi has become a kind of history, not just in view of the transience of human life, but rather the development of the vision and mission of human life further they get from the reflection of history celebrated figures. Making of history eventually become important to observe. History is not just a stretch of the past, present, and future, but, in the context of haul, history is closely related to building public awareness about the celebrated figures, either directly or through stories or media. Building awareness is what allows every individual who commemorate haul will internalize the objects of consciousness different from the historical reflection, although figures are presented objectively observed through individuals close to and understand objectively as himself. It is at least able to prove that religion is very closely linked to community activities.Keywords: Haul, Peter L. Berger, Sosiologi Pengetahuan dan Refleksi Sejarah.

Abstract

Ibn Bajjah, the first Muslim philosopher in the Western world, who had given a wide influence both to his own Islamic philosophy and many Christian Western thinkers, was a controversial figure. His thoughts besides opening the gate of independent philosophy without the interests of religious polemic also contained puzzles and images of pessimism. His work Tadbir al-Mutawahhid clearly illustrates the impossibility of the formation of al-Farabi's ideal city, also presupposes the impossibility that even divine intellectual perfection cannot change the social conditions of a damaged city. On the other hand, those who have been enlightened with their connection with the Active Intellect (al-qaql al-fa'al) through solitude actually show a passive and pessimistic attitude that looks down on the material world so that the happiness they get is merely personal happiness. This kind of attitude, even though born from universal forms of spirituality, has a resemblance to Schopenhauer's philosophical view which is pessimistic and considers the world and the will of life as obstacles to happiness. But on the other hand, the philosophy of Ibn Bajjah also shows a ladder of psychological maturation, as is the ladder of existence in Kierkegaard's philosophy, where the result is a condition of spirituality that is of the divine value.

Abstract

This article discusses a deconstructive review of the concept of authority of Khaled M. Abou el-Fadl. The phenomenon of authoritarianism is now the most troubling phenomenon for the development of contemporary Islamic thought. This phenomenon not only describes a rigid and undeveloped tradition of Islamic thought, but also has an impact on immoderate socio-religious behavior. Khaled M. Abou el-Fadl described this phenomenon as a consequence of human representation of Islamic authority. In terms of representation by authoritative humans, humans are often treated authoritatively and out of the substance of Islamic authority itself. This authoritarian attitude in treating the authoritative foundation of Islam is what Khaled calls authoritarianism. It can reside in humans and manipulate meanings into interpretations which often only serve the interests of some people. Through the deconstruction method, authoritarianism does not only appear as an arbitrary attitude towards authority, but also shows a conceptual network that indirectly shifts  the construction of authority itself. Khaled, besides showing an attitude of "overcoming" authority, also shows the loss of the element of morality from the authority structure itself. So that the phenomenon of authoritarianism is not only a problem of intellectuality, but also morality, between humans and authorities in discourse space.

Abstract

Science in Islam is indeed not a new thing, by the meaning as a scientific tendency. In histories, science is like to be a western thing, although so many early Islamic scholars do scientific research and even be a reference for some western scholars. However in the essence of the science, Islam had made his own long history, where some Islamic scholars took a specialization in the science as a world outside the religion, and some other Islamic scholars made a construction that science should be in a same voice as religion. This lifetime history and debate have been written by Nidhal Guessoum in an objective alternative that multilevel paradigm is believed as a main base could be used by Islamic scholars in many aspects to develop a theistic science – which is a form of science that believed to have a bigger opportunity to be developed in the Islamic world. With this multilevel paradigm, he tried to exclude science out of his specific perceptions towards natural sciences, to be returned to its scientific and rational epistemological form.

Abstract

 Artikel ini merupakan hasil observasi terkait dengan kurangnya minat siswa dalam menulis serta siswa kesulitan dalam mendeskripsikan sesuatu. Hal ini terlihat ketika siswa mendapat tugas untuk membuat laporan berdasarkan pengamatan pada sebuah gambar. Siswa kesulitan dalam menuangkan buah pikirannya, hanya menulis benda-benda yang ada dalam gambar dan belum mampu membuat sebuah kalimat yang baik. Untuk itu, guru perlu membiasakan siswa dengan kegiatan menulis deskripsi dan menjadikan kegiatan menulis deskripsi sebagai suatu hal yang menyenangkan untuk mencapai standar kompetensi keterampilan menulis laporan sederhana dan menumbuhkan budaya menulis deskripsi pada siswa. Hal tersebut diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan yakni dengan menerapkan sebuah media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, salah satu media yang dapat digunakan adalah media gambar seri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, metode kuantitatif ialah metode penelitian yang berlandaskan pada filsafat positivisme, digunakan untuk meneliti pada populasi atau sampel tertentu. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pra-eksperimen atau pre-experimental. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah “One Group Pretest-Posttest Design”. Hasil penelitian penggunaan media gambar seri efektif dalam melatih keterampilan menulis laporan sederhana siswa MI kelas rendah. Hal ini ini dapat dilihat dari tes hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran menulis laporan sederhana melalui media gambar seri menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu lebih tinggi 87,58 dibanding dengan pretest atau sebelum dilaksanakan perlakuan yakni 55,41. Berdasarkan uji t test, t hitung > t tabel atau -  13,5 > 1,714 dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan media gambar seri efektif dalam melatih menulis laporan sederhana.

Abstract

The progress of the digital world influences the structure of religious discourse. The development of religious discourse in digital space, especially social media, has run wild without control. One-sided truth claims are getting stronger. So Khaled Abou el-Fadl's offer deserves consideration, namely the morality of discourse as the authority for religious discourse on social media. This research focuses on how the morality of discourse can be used as a basis for the power of religious discourse on social media. This research is descriptive-qualitative, which is a conceptual study using library data. Through a holistic approach, the reference data is analyzed through data reduction and data presentation. The data presented are adapted to relevant perspectives, interpreted based on theories, classified into concepts, and narrated in a new understanding of the phenomenon under study. As a result, discourse morality procedures in the authority structure of religious discourse on social media need to be upheld so that belief in God as the highest authority is not replaced by unilateral claims. In addition, the morality of discourse can also be the basis for government policies to regulate and limit religious discourse discussed on social media.
