Abstract

This study aims to develop valid and practical physics modules to be used in teaching physics in class. The module developed is a module that is integrated with local tourism of the colorful lakes in Wonosobo, with the material described in the module being light material and optical devices. In addition, the developed module also aims to improve students' mastery of concepts. In this study using Research and Development (R&D), namely research methods that produce products in the form of modules, media and others. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The instruments used in data collection were media expert validation sheets, material experts, student response questionnaires, and student concept mastery test questions. The subjects of this study were 17 students of grade VIII junior high school. From the research that has been done, the results are (1) module validation by media experts, material experts, and practitioner experts, an overall percentage of 80.1% is included in the valid category; (2) the results of the practicality of the modules assessed by students obtained an overall percentage of 87.82% including the very practical category; (3) being able to improve students' mastery of concepts based on the results of the average pretest and posttest scores, there was an increase in scores, the pretest obtained an average score -an average of 52.05, while the posttest obtained an average of 88.52.

Abstract

The development of ICT and 21st-century learning emphasizes improving students' critical thinking skills. So that the learning process requires teaching materials that can attract students' interest and motivation to learn. This study aims to analyze the need for physics teaching materials for teachers and students at SMP Sriguna Palembang. The teaching material to be developed is an electronic LKPD (E-LKPD) in learning Physics using a quantitative approach with the survey method. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing the needs of E-LKPD teaching materials for teachers and students at SMP Sriguna Palembang, which were distributed via Google Forms. Respondents involved in this study were four teachers and 33 students using a simple random sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively in the form of percentages. The results showed that the teachers and students of Sriguna Palembang Middle School needed interactive teaching materials in the form of Problem-Based Learning-based E-LKPD to learn Physics material.

Abstract

This research is research on developing the ADDIE model at the analysis stage. A needs analysis is needed to identify the character profile of learners. This research was conducted at SMA Sriguna Palembang with correspondence of 36 students. The questionnaire of needs analysis questions in this study was disseminated through the Google form platform. The teaching materials developed are in the form of e-LKPD. The analysis results of using other learning resources, such as e-LKPD, as many as 58.3% are still hesitant to use it. Walking wave material raised in this study showed that 55.6% agreed that the material was difficult. The learning model used by the Discovery Learning model. The results of the analysis of the application of discovery learning in physics learning, as many as 44.4% are still hesitant to make observations or experiments on physics material, as many as 50% are still hesitant to analyze the results of observations or experiments, as many as 63.9% are still hesitant to find new things from the results of observations or experiments that have been done. The development of e-LKPD is expected to facilitate students' learning, especially wave material with the discovery Learning model. This research can be used as an initial overview or reference for further development research.

Abstract

A study on the analysis of student response to using POLBAN's LMS E-Learning in the Applied Physics course post the Covid-19 pandemic has been conducted. This research aims to determine the extent of student acceptance and enthusiasm in utilizing the LMS after face-to-face classes are reintroduced. The research is categorized as qualitative descriptive research. The research method involved distributing questionnaires to 107 students taking the Applied Physics course from the Chemical Analyst and Mechanical Engineering study programs at the Bandung State Polytechnic during the odd semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The questionnaire responses were processed by calculating the total average scores for each question. Based on the interval scale analysis of acceptance ratings, the research findings indicate that the level of student acceptance towards using E-Learning in the Applied Physics course posts during the Covid-19 pandemic falls under the " Accepted " category. It is evident from calculating the overall average score for all statements, which amounts to 403.17 points out of 535 points. Therefore, it can be concluded that utilizing LMS in face-to-face classes is still highly suitable as a support and companion for post-Covid-19 pandemic teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using practicum tools with diferentiated learning strategies on student learning outcomes. The research method used is quasi-experimental design. The population in this study was all of class X MIA, totaling 212 students, of SMA Negeri 8 Medan. The research sampling technique is purposive sampling technique. Non-equivalent control group design is the type of the research design. The sample in the study consisted of an experimental class, namely class X MIA 6, and a control class, namely class X MIA 5. The experimental class was treated with differentiated learning strategies, while the control class was treated with conventional learning. The research instruments used were multiple-choice questions and student observation sheets. The average score of the posttest for the experimental class was 76.28 with a standard deviation of 6.9, and that of the control class was 72.08 with a standard deviation of 6.7. The pretest and posttest data obtained have been analyzed and met the prerequisites for testing the hypothesis, namely, the data is normally distributed and is homogeneous. The result of the right-tailed t-test on the hypothesis obtained the value of tcount > ttable, namely 2.608 > 2.002 whit = 0.05. Based on the testing criteria, the accepted hypothesis is H, which means that there is an effect of the treatment that is the use of practicum tool with different learning strategies on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 8 Medan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The result of the simple linear regression equation is Y = 65.9 + 0.34X.
