Abstract

At present%2C photography technology has grown rapidly. It began from invention of obscura camera%2C which was invented by Leonardo da Vinci%2C until the invention of digital camera%2C which are produced by camera factories. Together with this development%2C the role of photography become expanded%2C that is to support the other sciences%2C like visual communication design. From this case%2C the term design photography often become the question to those who are involved in department visual communication design. The dicussion consist of two sections%2C they are basic photography and design photography. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Saat ini teknologi fotografi telah berkembang pesat%2C mulai dari penemuan kamera obscura yang ditemukan oleh Leonardo da Vinci sampai penemuan kamera digital yang dikeluarkan oleh beberapa pabrik besar pembuat kamera. Seiring dengan hal itu peranan fotografi juga semakin luas%2C yaitu sebagai pendukung ilmu pengetahuan yang lain%2C seperti desain komunikasi visual. Dari sini timbullah istilah Fotografi Desain yang sering menjadi pertanyaaan di kalangan orang yang akan terlibat dalam jurusan Desain Komunikasi Visual. Pembahasan terdiri dari dua pokok bahasan%2C yaitu fotografi dasar dan fotografi desain.

Abstract

It is worried that the youth will grow consumptive%2C unproductive and uncreative because of absorbing most of the negative impact brought by the rapid flow of influence from outside. On account of this%2C the writer is inviting the youth to look back for a while to study on the characteristics and the great work created by our ancestors. The purpose of this writing is as the stepping stone to encourage the youth to learn and comprehend together the abundant source of inspiration which resulted in the more creative art work. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Arus pengaruh dari luar terasa semakin derasnya baik itu yang berdampak positif maupun negatif dan bila unsur negatifnya lebih banyak diserap oleh kalangan generasi muda%2C maka dikhawatirkan akan tumbuh generasi-generasi yang konsumtif tidak produktif apa lagi kreatif. Maka dalam hal ini penulis ingin mencoba mengajak para generasi muda untuk sejenak menoleh kebelakang menelaah perilaku dan karya-karya adhiluhung yang pernah diciptakan oleh para leluhur kita%2C untuk dikenali dan dipahami bersama%2C sebagai batu loncatan perbendaharaan serta kekayaan sumber inspirasi penciptaan karya seni yang lebih kreatif. Abstract

The presence of Visual Communication Design is needed especially in today s information era. Just as its sound%2C the function and goal of visual communication design is to communicate to its mass audience with the right perception. One of its elements that determine the effectiveness of a design is typography. This paper is going to talk about the role of typography and how it effects a design in visual communication design. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Di dalam era informasi saat ini kehadiran desain komunikasi visual sangatlah dibutuhkan. Sesuai dengan namanya%2C desain komunikasi visual mempunyai tujuan untuk mengkomunikasikan pesan yang dapat ditangkap oleh massa dengan benar. Salah satu elemen desain yang sangat penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan suatu desain dalam berkomunikasi dengan masyarakatnya adalah tipografi. Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana dan apa peran tipografi tersebut dalam desain komunikasi visual.

Abstract

Fantasy and science fiction is not new in illustration but its presence in Indonesia has just felt recently. The growing fans of Fantasy & Science Fiction theme in Indonesia is caused and supported by many films%2C games and novels made based on that theme. These theme is suited for teenagers and young adults. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Tema Fantasi dan Fiksi Sains (F & FS) dalam bidang ilustrasi bukanlah hal baru. Namun baru pada waktu belakangan tema ini terasa kehadirannya di Indonesia. Hal ini terutama didorong oleh banyaknya film dengan tema tersebut yang diputar di Indonesia%2C serta mulai disukainya novel-novel dan game bertema F & FS di kalangan anak muda. Memang%2C tema ini nampaknya akrab dengan kalangan tersebut.

Abstract
