Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires students to learn from anyone including their peers. There are several learning models that emphasize this, including Jigsaw and TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray). This study aims to compare learning results from the application of the two models to students of class XI of SMAN 1 Ambarawa. Sampling with cluster random sampling resulted in a sample of students of class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class and students of class XI MIPA 2 as a comparison class. A quasi-experimental study with the design of The Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design was carried out on mathematics learning on the material derivative from algebraic functions. Test different mean initial ability of students by using the Mann-Whitney test produces a significant value of 0.443 (more than 0.05), meaning that the initial conditions of both classes are balanced. The hypothesis test with the Mann-Whitney test produced a significant amount of 0.029 (less than 0.05), with the average in the experimental class (76.81) higher, than the comparison class average (73.79). Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of jigsaw produces the results of mathematics learning in class XI students of SMAN 1 Ambarawa better than the application of TSTS

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Posing approach and the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to critical thinking skills. This study is a quasi-experimental study with randomize design pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study were all class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sentolo consisting of six classes. From the population, two classes were randomly sampled as the research sample, namely class X MIA 3 and class X MIA 1. In class X MIA 3 students applied learning using the Problem Posing approach and class X MIA 1 students used the CTL approach. The instrument used to collect data is a test of critical thinking skills. To examine the effect of the Problem Posing approach and the CTL approach on critical thinking ability data were analyzed using the t test. The results showed that there were differences in the ability to think critically between classes with learning using the Problem Posing approach and the classroom with learning using the CTL approach, with the average students critical thinking skills in the class with the Problem Posing approach higher than the students critical thinking skills. in the class with the CTL approach.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara deskriptif kompetensi profesional mahasiswa calon guru matematika.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Informasi dikumpulkan dengan: (1) wawancara, (2) dokumentasi, dan (3) observasi. Penetapan sumber informasi dimulai dari informan kunci dan dilanjutkan dengan informan lain secara snowball. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan: (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional mahasiswa calon guru berada pada kategori sedang. Dari hasil penelitian ini, saran-saran yang ajukan diantaranya: (1) perlunya perbaikan sistem microteaching di UNIMUS terutama pada raw dan instrumental input (2) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan profesional mahasiswa calon guru maka diperlukan adanya kegiatan microteaching bersiklus yang disesuaikan dengan alokasi waktu real di sekolah mitra.

Abstract

This study aims to develop elementary V class multimedia based on humanistic theory on integer competencies that is valid, practical, and effective. The development model is a 4D (define, design, development, disseminate) model. In the define stage there are interviews and observations to study the curriculum and the needs of teachers and students. In the design stage, draft I multimedia was designed using Adobe Flash Player. In the development stage, draft I is valid based on questionnaires from media and  material expert validators. Furthermore, the results of field notes and student and teacher response questionnaires indicate that draft II is practical. Then drat III was tested by independent t-test which resulted that draft III is effective. Draft III developed into a final product which was then disseminated at the disseminate stage with the delivery of products to teachers, training of teachers, and publications in national journals.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika dasar masih dilakukan secara tradisional menggunakan metode ekspositori.namun ketikamahasiswa diminta untuk mempresentasikan hasil kerjanya, mahasiswa merasa kesulitan dalam menyatakan ulang konsep yang telah diajarkan karena sifat materi anti turunan yang sangat abstrak. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Perlu adanya pengembangan lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme yang diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui validitas lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatankonstruktivisme berbasis pendidikan karakter materi anti turunan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan prosedur pengembangan dari Borg & Gall. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik wawancara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatankonstruktivisme berbasis pendidikan karaktermateri anti turunan valid dengan nilai rata-rata 3,8. Lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme materi anti turunan ini dapat diujicobakan di program studi non matematika yang memiliki mata kuliah matematika dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: the initial ability of students mathematical communication; TPS type learning process accompanied by diagnostic analysis; analysis of student difficulties; effectiveness of TPS-type learning accompanied by diagnostic analysis; and students mathematical communication skills after TPS type learning is accompanied by diagnostic analysis. The scope of the learning material in this study is the Three Dimensions for class X students. This type of research is mixed methods with concurrent embedded research designs. Qualitative methods as primary methods, while quantitative methods as secondary methods. Samples in qualitative research were taken by purposive sampling technique. Samples in quantitative research were taken by cluster random sampling technique. The research data was collected through questionnaires and written tests. Questionnaire data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and test data were analyzed by proportion test, Uni Anova and Gain test. The results showed that 1) The initial ability of mathematical communication of students is still below the minimum completeness criteria. Student responses are low; 2) TPS type learning process accompanied by diagnostic analysis is carried out through three stages of think-pair-share; 3) TPS type learning accompanied by effective diagnostic analysis is evident from mathematical communication that achieves completeness, increases and is significantly better than the control group; 4) The difficulty of most students is not paying attention to the notation and not being careful in calculating; 5) Students mathematical communication skills after TPS type learning accompanied by diagnostic analysis in the upper, middle and lower groups have been able to express mathematical ideas, have been able to draw according to the problems given and write mathematical notations are still lacking.

Abstract

University is the institution engaged in public service namely education services needs to identify the student candidates on education product, develops educational products and implements marketing activities to attract the attention of the student candidates. The purpose of this study is to determine priority consideration for students in choosing a study program at the College. The method used in this study is  Fuzzy Analysis Hierarchy Process (FAHP), with the results of the study, the orders rank criteria factor (Study Program profile, Infrastructure, The Activity of study Program and  Rules of Conduct), the rank order of the sub factor infrastructure criteria (Quality of College Building, Library, Sport Facilities, Laboratory), the order of sub-criteria rank factor of study Program profile ( lay out and Accreditation of study program, the length of the Study, Graduates Lecturer), a sequence of sub criteria ranking factors study program of activities  (Seminar, Community Service, fieldtrip, Research), and the sequence of sub-criteria rank factor of the order of  (Lectures, students number, Clothing, Leaves).

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Proses belajar mengajar harus menggunakan metode yang tepat supaya mencapai tingkat keberhasilan yang maksimal. Metode Jarimatika adalah suatu cara  menghitung  matematika  dengan  menggunakan  alat  bantu  jari.  Melalui metode Jarimatika, interaktif dapat meningkatkan Motivasi belajar siswa. Dengan asumsi bahwa, semakin tepat dalam pemilihan metode semakin meningkat Motivasi belajar siswa. Metode Jarimatika mengandung tahap pengajuan pertanyaan atau permasalahan,   tahap   pemusatan   pada   keterkaitan   antara   disiplin,   tahap penyelidikan  otentik,  tahap  kerjasama,  tahap  produksi  karya  dan  peragaan. Melihat  tahapan  dalam  metode  pembelajaran  Jarimatika  yang  mengupayakan peran aktif dalam proses pembelajaran diharapkan dapat memotivasi siswa khususnya dalam berhitung Jarimatika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa meningkat pada setiap siklusnya. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa pada setiap siklusnya yaitu pra siklus siswa hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 61. Siklus I mengalami peningkatan menjadi 76 dan siklus II mengalamai peningkatan lagi menjadi 84. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan  menerapkan  metode  Jarimatika  dapat  meningkatkan  motivasi  belajar siswa kelas II di SDN 2 Puguh Kecamatan Pegandon Kabupaten Kendal. Kata Kunci: Perkalian, Jarimatika, dan Prestasi

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe profile crithical thinking ability of  the students in solving problem in Linear Equation System of Two Variables based on the criteria of critical thinking and problem solving ability of the students. This is qualitative research with the subject is the students in the class VIIIA of year 2018/2019 of SMP Negeri 6 Semarang. The data collection used is test and interview. Based on the results of this study it can be seen that the profile of critical thinking skills with the first subject of high math skills (SR) can do all category . Where the subject is moderate mathematics (SS) and the subject is low mathematics (SR) on indicators of critical thinking in problem solving that have not been done by student inference and strategy on subject SS on problems 2 and 3. While subject SR on problems 1,2 and 3.

Abstract

Students enthusiasm and interest in learning mathematics are factors that influence learning outcomes. Where in the application of problem-based learning models on trigonometric material that aims to improve learning outcomes, but in the application process will also appear the activeness of students during the learning process takes place. This is intended to supplement the problem-based learning process in stages, including: understanding the problem, making a solution plan, implementing the plan, and reviewing the results obtained. From these stages there will also appear student activity and interest in the mathematics learning process which certainly contributes to learning outcomes. So the purpose of the study is to determine the effect of activeness and interest in student learning outcomes on trigonometry subjects through problem-based learning models. This research was designed using the One-Shot Case Study design. In this design there is only one group treated. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 15 Semarang. With the sampling technique in this study using the Random sampling technique, obtained a sample of students in class X 7. The variables used are the activeness and interest of students and are learning outcomes. The results of the study concluded that there was a significant influence between activity and interest in learning outcomes with a significant effect of 81.8% in the implementation of problem-based learning models.
