Abstract

Carbon dots (C-dots) are a new type of phosphorescent nanoparticles that can be easily synthesized from natural sources or raw materials. The outer shell of cassava is the second waste obtained from cassava skin waste which is less attention to be utilized. Synthesis of C-dots from the outer shell of dried cassava has been successfully carried out with Microwave techniques. Synthesis of C-dots was carried out using water as a solvent with a variation of the concentration of precursor solutions to the microwave duration. Microwave duration causes changes in the structure and optical properties of C-dots. C-dots are characterized to study the optical properties of the UV-Vis absorbance spectrum and emission intensity in the form of emissions. The observed optical properties aim to determine the C-dots energy transition, such as surface and core energy. The core energy level becomes dominant in the transition π→π* compared to the transition of n→π* in surface energy when the C-dots concentration increases so that energy shifts. This phenomenon is known from the top of the broad C-dots emission spectrum and shifts to longer wavelengths. In addition, we suspect that the difference in C-dots emissions is caused by the molecular density and content of the preparation based on the concentration of precursor solutions and the length of microwave time.

Abstract

Pada kegiatan pratikum fisika khususnya praktikum tentang materi gerak lurus beraturan (GLB) dan gerak lurus berubah beraturan (GLBB), satuan waktu menjadi patokan utama dalam menghitung hasil akhir kecepatan dan perpindahan benda secara akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau keakuratan sensor inframerah dan stopwatch pada praktikum gerak lurus beraturan (GLB) dan gerak lurus berubah beraturan (GLBB). Keakuratan sensor inframerah yang terdapat pada alat praktikum berfungsi sebagai stopwatch digital yang secara otomatis akan melakukan pencatatan waktu serta melakukan perhitungan kecepatan dan percepatan. Penggunaan sensor inframerah bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data waktu seakurat mungkin secara digital menggunakan bantuan arduino sebagai pengendali utama untuk pengatur waktu secara otomatis. Hal ini menjadi lebih simple dan mudah dibandingkan menggunakan pengukuran waktu secara manual menggunakn stopwatch. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian yang mencakup studi pustaka, rancang bangun yang dibuat mengacu pada referensi yang telah ada dan kemudian dilakukan pengembangan lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan alat pratikum yang dapat menghitung waktu secara akurat dalam praktikum gerak lurus beraturan dan gerak lurus berubah beraturan, sehingga data yang dihasilkan lebih akuratdan maksimal. Selain itu penggunaan perangkat menggunakan stopwatch secara manual untuk mengukur waktu juga di lakukan sebagai pembanding. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran didapatkan bahwa penggunaan mikrokontroler Arduino arduno nano dan sensor inframerah dapat digunakan sebagai switch sekaligus mengaktifkan perhitungan waktu (stopwatch) saat dilewati sebuah benda, sehingga dapat menghitung waktu secara akurat dalam menentukan kecepatan GLB dan GLBB. Perubahan variasi daya mempengaruhi besarnya waktu yang secara langsung juga mempengaruhi kecepatan, dimana waktu berbanding terbalik terhadap kecepatan.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in almost all countries in the world had a very large impact on the way of life of mankind, including the Indonesian people. The Indonesian government demands that people be able to live side by side with Covid-19 so that since early June 2020 the Indonesian people enter the phase of the new normal era. The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on decreasing productivity in all sectors, including the education sector. The science teacher who is the main facilitator in science learning has a role to present real learning when learning must be done from home, so that the teacher will experience various difficulties. For this reason, it is necessary to provide strengthening of General Pedagogy Knowledge (GPK) for science teachers. In this service, science teachers are given pedagogy reinforcement, alternative media that can be used, alternative assessments, and making lesson plans that are adapted to the new normal era and how to teach science concepts online. Strengthening this General Pedagogy Knowledge can provide 5 benefits for science teachers, science teachers can determine the right strategies / methods in learning during the new normal era, science teachers can develop alternative assessments during the new normal era, science teachers can develop alternative media that can be used, and science teachers can develop lesson plans that can be used during the new normal era and how to explain science concepts online.
